Either way I have not come across this error message. Make sure you pop across to my website at the address within or below this tutorial and there may be some information to help you there. There is no catch, just a number of tutorials to help people use AVS Video Editor.

Please helsme I cant save the final video whenI follow the steps in produce i do everything and when I open the final video in quicktime it is just a black screen with e sound being cut off. What should I doi in produce step?
I take it you have saved the video through ‘file’, ‘save project as’. At least this way you would not lose your creation. When you produce, what format did you save it in? The reason I ask this is that quicktime only opens certain formats i.e. AVI, MOV. Have you tried opening the video in Windows Movie Maker – if not using a Mac. FLV file format is the one I normally use.
There is a free version, but it does leave a watermark at the begining and at intervals within your final version. There are videos in Youtube explaining how to remove the watermark, but still may not give you the desired result.

@V3N0MxdGaming It is free!!!!!! if its not and has a watermark insert a color for one minute. then save after open movie maker and insert the vised cut the color and done
AVS Video Editor will accept MP4 format. I import this format from my digital camera and have never had a problem.
It may be worth reloading the software.

Hi. Great video, thanks! I've learnt a few things from this. I had a problem earlier though, while using "Screen Capture". (It sounds like the same problem zoozz57 has). The video plays back about 2 - 4 times the speed. The audio plays at normal speed, but stops when the video clip ends (so about half way through). Any idea how to capture the video clips in real time?
I use AVS screen capture to capture what appears on the screen only. I then do a voice over in AVS video editor. If you are looking to record video clips with sound, then I would suggest using Freecorder4. Follow the link to my website below this video and select 'Copying Videos And Sound Off The Internet' from the right hand side for more information. There is no catch and the software is free. You can then add this recording into AVS editor.
@GaryBOakes Hi. I'm afraid I didn't have any luck with Freecorder4. It's probably something I did wrong, but I ended up with loads of unwanted programs, that slowed my computer right down; WeatherBug, some Bingo program, etc. Not sure what went wrong. Also I was forced to change my homepage from MSN UK to Google Chrome. Parts of Freecorder4 were there, but nothing for recording videos.
@GaryBOakes Part 2! Anyway, I've just uninstalled all the new stuff. My computer's now running like it did before. But I've only had a few video ideas where I'd need to record DVD clips. Most of my videos will be musical performances & recordings. Thanks for the advice anyway though. Neil.
Have you 'produced' your video into the final format? If so, does this go twice the speed?
Do you have the latest version of AVS Editor which is 6.1?
Last question, have you been to my website at the address below this tutorial? There is no catch, but a load more tutorials to help people make the most of AVS Editor. You may find something here to help you.

The screen capture captures what is displayed on your computer. You can then import this into AVS Video editor and then slow down your video. Is this what you are looking to achieve?
You sometimes get this when memory is a problem. I would suggest you close other applications down whilst using AVS. Saying this, AVS is less hungry compared to many other types of editing software.
Apart from this, you should find your final productions through 'produce' to be as expected - especially when in HD.

This is something I have not heard of. Sounds exciting though! Can you explain more about what lossless transcoding is?
Don't forget to visit my website at the address within and below this video to view more tutorials on AVS Video Editor. There is no catch, just a load of tutorials all in one place to help people.
@GaryBOakes It's something i took note of when making movies, the quality would become worse over time. Honestly i don't know much about it, first site when you google "transcoding lossless" explains what it is. I encountered this problem when i worked with timers in AVS and couldn't get them work properly. To solve it i had to create a video then i had to edit that. What had me worried was that i would lose quality during the transcoding, which you apparently do if not "lossless".
I'm not sure what you are referring to unless you are talking about the timeline? Can you provide more information so that I can help you.

when i put the video file into AVS ( the video file is 1280i HD), when i try to edit that file, the video plays but it freeze every second so when it plays, it pretty much lag. is there any way to fix this ?
This sounds like a memory problem. I would suggest restarting the computer then open only AVS Video Editor and try again. Have you 'Produced' the video yet? If not, it may play fine one you do this.
Don't forget to visit my website at the address within and below this video to view more tutorials on AVS Video Editor. There is no catch, just a load of tutorials all in one place to help people.
This is shown in the tutorial, but may be not explained too well. If you left hand click and hold the button down on the numbers above the timeline and drag to the right, then this will make the timeline longer.
Don't forget to visit my website for loads more tutorials on AVS Video Editor. The address is within and below this tutorial. There is not catch, just information to help people to create great videos.

@GaryBOakes Hi, i want to make a video with 2 videos at the same time but the thing its how can i synchroniz the audio with a different video? the idea its to record the audio of my guitar with the pocket pod and the video with my camera and synchronize them with this program its that possible?
You can add black between clips in a couple of ways. You can add a transition titled ‘flash dark’ or drag a colour image between the clips. There are standard colour images contained within.
To learn about transitions, go to my website at the address within and at the bottom of this video and view tutorial No. 2. No catch, just a page full of AVS tutorials to help you.
If this does satisfy your needs then please come back to me.
I actually use two. In the main I use the AVS Screen Capture software if capturing screen shots and recording what is on the screen. I use Freecorder4 to record music and YouTube videos. Sometimes I use Jing, but this is no different to AVS Screen Capture. Go to my website at the address within and below this video and watch tutorial No. 6. If you go to the marketing pages, there is info on Jing and Freecorder4.

I don't know why. I f i start a new project it allows me to click play, but in this specific one it goes gray. Any help is useful reply or message please and thank you.

If you go onto my website at the address within or below this tutorial and watch the additional video No. 4, towards the end I show how to incorporate masks into the video – if this is what you are asking.
You will also find a number of great tutorials here that I’m sure will help you. No catch, just trying to help people.
There are no sound affects provided in this package. What I do is to record sounds etc and import these. Freecorder4 is a great free package to use to record any sound played through your PC including music. If you wish to know more then visit my website at the address given below or within this video, and select the Internet Marketing tab. Click on the picture associated with ‘Producing An Effective Video’. All this is for free with no catch.
dude what do i need to put my AVS4YOU video in youtube?because i dont know how, when i finished a movie i want to put publish it like in WMM but i cant and it cant been uploaded i youtube!help please :(
Yes I can help. Go to my website at the address given within and below this tutorial and watch tutorial No. 6 and the additional tutorial No. 1. These two tutorials will show you how to upload into YouTube. There is no catch. It is just that I have provided a number of tutorials which are all kept in one place.
This question is in response to how to move your movie clip to the right on the video clip timeline. The best way is to drag text into the front of the video clip rather than drag the text into the text timeline. If text is not required then delete the text shown in the text line. Go to my website at the address at the bottom or within this video and watch tutorial No. 3. The example I’m referring to is just over half way through the tutorial. There is no catch.
This is in response to fuzzy jpegs. When creating your video, you may find the video quality is not always great when playing this back whilst creating your master piece. However, when you ‘produce’ your video to make a final version, you need to produce the video in HD. If you go to my website at the address either within or below this video and watch Tutorial No. 6, this should help you.
Please come back to me and tell me how you get on by leaving a comment on my website.
hi, my vid is 1jpeg, 1 WMV and 1jpeg. The jpegs are 300dpi. When playing the movie on PC screen through DVD created on AVS VE all's perfect. When played on 37" TV - the WMV movie is perfect but the jpegs are fuzzy. the jpegs are 1920x1080. AVS are not helping much. Do you have a solution?
You can upgrade to version 6 and I would suggest you do this. Version 5.2 certainly has HD. If you view my tutorial 6 on my site at the address within or below this video, you will see the HD listings.
If you have purchased the software then if you go to the AVS4YOU folder (hopefully existing in your programs list) and select ‘AVS Updates’ then you will be able to update all of the 18 products that require updating. You will not lose anything in this process.
I guess you are referring to how the video looks whilst in production. This can be the case. However, once you finalise the video through 'produce' and save as say a HD FLV file then the quality of the output will be as expected.
If you go to my website at the address within and below this email then there is a tutorial on this. There is no catch. You will find these useful.
i have a problem . when i open the project i only see the ( line for main video ) i dont see nothing else that is suppose to be in the time line / I have a hp mini , Can someone help me please
AVS Video Editor is unable to achieve this, but would suggest you use the AVS Audio Editor. Once in, select the mix tab and add your soundtrack to Line 1. Hopefully this will appear in both the left and right channels. Record the track, save and then import into AVS Video editor.
I have yet to produce any video tutorials for the Audio Editor so hopefully you can find your way around to get a result.
Hi. Thanks fort his tutorial. I have a question: I have a video file where the audio is only on one channel (so I hear it only from one loudspeaker). Is it possible just to clone the sound in the other channel with this program?
The video was taken with a videocamera with amicrophone plugged. Thanks
There is a great tutorial on this on my site - video tutorial No.4. Just follow the link under or on the video. There is no catch. It's just that I'm keeping all the tutorials in one place. You will find there are a lot more tutorials and hints to help you.
This is straight forward. Drag the selected text in front of the video clip on the media line (top line) as oppose to adding the text to the text line.
If you go to my site, select the contact tab, you will find an email address. Copy the file into an email and send it to me. I will aim to get back to you as quick as possible.
Thanks for coming back to me. I've never seen this. Are you using a free or paid version? This might be somethng that appears in the free version, but not in the paid.
Hi Gary, to be more specific, the box(video rookie) is what is on the top and bottom of the video. On your tutor #2 video, it goes away on the crop scale but mine does not rid of it like in your video. I also tried aspect ratio and that did not work as well. On other videos I noticed it does not have that problem. Is it just AVS video editor. I hope that helps
This is in response to the question about subtitles. I guess you are referring to adding in text to the bottom of your video as oppose to using the audio translation function within YouTube.
If you go to my site, hit the link in the description below the video, and watch tutorial video 3, this will explain how to add text. This will help you. There is no catch. It’s just I’m holding all the tutorials in one place.
Gary, my biggest problem is around my videos, I am getting a box type at the top and the bottom of my video. I have tried the crop scale and the aspect ratio and it is still there. Is there anyway I can get rid of it or is it always on avs?
I started off by using a fairly cheap Logitech headset. This did the job, but I wanted a more crisper sound. I ended up paying far more, around $100 (£70), to get the quality expected - and this was discounted. The model is a Blue Yeti.
We all start off looking for something free or cheap. I do find that if it quality you want then this will cost. So I don't have an answer as it is more to do with meeting your requirements. Saying this, I was tempted to buy one for around $25.
Tutorial No.3 shows how to edit the text. You will need to go to my site at the address shown at the end of the video. There is no catch. It is just better to hold all the tutorials and other information in one place. You don't want to miss these.
Yes AVS video editor can produce videos using blue/green background. I will produce a video showing how to do this - have been meaning to do this for some time. Watch this space as I will publish this on Youtube for all to see.
There is no copy and paste function. However, the shortcut key to dupliate to the right is Ctrl+D. Holding down Ctrl+D will keep on duplicating until to let go.
I was just wondering how to copy and paste pictures. I'm trying to make an animation with this, duplicating and moving to the right so many times over is too time consuming at the moment.
Adding music is straight forward. I would suggest you go to my site and view video No.4. There is no catch. Once on the site, the link to all 6 tutorials + bonuses can be found at the top of the right hand side bar. The videos are on my site in order to keep them all together.
Are you using the video capture within AVS? If so, you should be able to record a voiceover whilst capturing the screen. Have you seen Tutorial Part 6? This is on my website. Just follow the music and review all 6 tutorials plus some bonus material. There is no catch. It’s just that I’m keeping all the tutorial together.
If the answer is not here then leave a comment on my site and will get back to you. Responding here is limited.
I'm having a problem recording my desktop, the sound and video will not match up and i don't see any available setting options to correct it. what is the problem and what should i do?
Adding music is straight forward. I would suggest you go to my website, follow the music and watch tutorial number 4. There is no catch. It's just that I'm keeping all the tutorials together covering a range of topics. Many have already commented on how they have these tutorials useful.
I have now added an additional video at the end of the 6 part AVS tutorial explaining how to upload a video into YouTube. Follow the link given at the end of the tutorial 1 video to get access. Just follow thee outburst of sound once you are on the page. There is no catch. You will be able to view all the videos along with comments left by others.
This is straight forward. But rather than explain, I would suggest you view tutorial 5 at the web address given at the end of the video. There is no catch. You will be able to see all 6 tutorials just like many have already. You will not be dissapointed.
I'm providing lots of free information to help anyone looking to develop their media skills on the internet and aiming to keep this in all one place.
The easiest way to trim an audio in line with the video clip is to first of all select where you wish to split the video and select split then select the audio bar and select split. The split should be at the same place in both the video and the audio.
I hope this helps. Video 5 shows how to split a scene if you have yet to see this. Just visit the site given at the end of the part 1 tutorial. There is no catch. It’s free and you can see all 6 tutorials.
Um, quick question. Whenever I trim a clip and play it back, the audio doesn't match the clip itself. In stead it plays the audio from the beginning of the original clip before I trimmed it, even if what I trimmed is somewhere in the middle of the clip. Do you know what's going on or how to fix this?
hi! so uhm ive got a problem i was in a middle of DOING A video to upload on youtube and something screwed up with AUDIO LINE so before it was all good i could put song on the audio line and it would play the whole song now it is like LIMITED? so when i put a song on a AUDIO LINE the song doesn't play the whole thing the length of it is really short and i can't stretch the audio bar to play the full song so it only plays 1:57 of it ;// and then it cna't go on anymore plzzz help asap!
You can crop videos - to a fashion. It is more of a zoom function. All 6 tutorial videos are now available on my web site ideasworkingfromhome. The address is at the end of the part 1 tutorial. There is no catch. Go to the internet marketing page and click to view all 6 videos. Cropping videos is in part 2 so worth seeing.
Yes, with version 5.2 you can bring the video clip in tune with the audio clip. The way I have done this is to have both the audio and video audio clips playing, with one quieter than the other to help identify which audio clip is what, and move the audio soundtrack bar until in sinc.
Have you seen the 6 tutorials? These are all now available. No catch. The address is at the end of the part 1 tutorial. If you still have problems then come back to me. More than happy to help.
hey there, im a drummer and have a video of me playing my drums to a song.. i want to sync the song im playin with the video so im like playing along to it.. is this something u can help me with? ive nearly got it its just still half a second out of sync!!
Following a question regarding is there a better editing software package than Windows Movie Maker for free. I initally looked for such a package. I found many demonstration packags for free. I eventaully submitted to subscribing to AVS as this appeared to do everythng I wanted - but have since discovered it does more.
The annual submision is resonable. Have you seen the other 5 videos on AVS video editor 5.2? Not to be missed.
I can't advise whether the price will change, but what I can say is that everytime someone has gone to buy, the price always appears to be discounted. Although we all like something for nothing, I feel paying either subscription pays off in the long term.
Don't forget you can see the rest of the tutorial on my website for free along with a link to the AVS site.

I encountered this problem when i worked with timers in AVS and couldn't get them work properly. To solve it i had to create a video then i had to edit that. What had me worried was that i would lose quality during the transcoding, which you apparently do if not "lossless".

You can add black between clips in a couple of ways. You can add a transition titled ‘flash dark’ or drag a colour image between the clips. There are standard colour images contained within.

Sometimes I use Jing, but this is no different to AVS Screen Capture. Go to my website at the address within and below this video and watch tutorial No. 6. SAINT662 6 months ago
Hello
This question is in response to how to move your movie clip to the right on the video clip timeline. The best way is to drag text into the front of the video clip rather than drag the text into the text timeline. If text is not required then delete the text shown in the text line. Go to my website at the address at the bottom or within this video and watch tutorial No. 3. The example I’m referring to is just over half way through the tutorial. There is no catch.

Hello
This is in response to fuzzy jpegs. When creating your video, you may find the video quality is not always great when playing this back whilst creating your master piece. However, when you ‘produce’ your video to make a final version, you need to produce the video in HD. If you go to my website at the address either within or below this video and watch Tutorial No. 6, this should help you.
Please come back to me and tell me how you get on by leaving a comment on my website.

The easiest way to trim an audio in line with the video clip is to first of all select where you wish to split the video and select split then select the audio bar and select split. The split should be at the same place in both the video and the audio.
