Marinella was and is a unique performer with a strong voice! This is a good song. It is lively, fresh and uplifting. The way it is presented though could have been better. Marinella needed to move around more away from those back singers instead of being up on that podium and in one place. Everything seems clustered and claustrophobic.

This song is not a ballad. Perhaps the moving around would have made her less tense, if she was tense. I don't think she was though, perhaps a little in the beginning which is quite normal for any serious performer. It looks and seems as if she has a chip on her shoulder and annoyed at something in the beginning.

Marinella was and is still a DIVA with her own style who had been performing for nearly 20 years before her Eurovision entry. She did have and still does have a very strong stage presence and moves very well indeed, so that would have been no problem for her. Again, I believe if the presentation was different, perhaps this song would have received a better place.

Of course nobody could have competed with Abba's song which was a favorite at that time and still is. View the clip with Abba performing Waterloo and compare.
