I'm sorry but this is not Julie Andrew's finest hour. The key is too low and she does not have a lot of control over her voice. Maybe she had a cold. Also, I thought this was an English folk tune, not American.
@judybaby1944 I doubt she had a cold, her tone is tiny tiny tad bit nasal at her lower middle register throughout her 50 yrs of singing...but I agree the key is set way too low for her glorious coloratura voice. I wish she sang this same song 5 steps up...and then her voice would erupt in beauty beyond comparison! Having said that, she sounds awfully sweet here.
what an intelligent and organic arrangement, and julie's voice is unmatched. the peak at 2:22 brings tears every time. an exquisite performance in many regards. thank you so much for uploading this gem.

Yvonne DeCarlo did a very good version of this song on THE MUNSTERS. ALmost as good as this version here.
