I remember I use to alway wonder who wrote Aaliyah songs because I loved his writing there writing style I loved her songs not just the tracks but the lyrics and alway said if I got into the music buisness thats who I would have write for me but I never researched who it was. Then brandy got him to right some song for either the full moon album or the album after that and which ever album he did songs for her I loved that album but people slept on guess cause rodney jerkins didn't do it.
He dated Aaliyah back in 1997 but they broke up the next year due to him having too much respect for her uncle Barry and being close friends to her cousin Jomo.its sad that they both are not here anymore and they were really deep close friends, and yet still loved each other deep down. At least they are together making more beautiful music for the angles and god himself. R.I.P. Liyah and Static forever missed!

@Xelvielll I read that they put him on dialisis and he kept complaining something didn't feel right dialysis flushes out the kidneys my dad was on it for 13 years he was a diabetic he just passed 2010 been diabetic for thirty years. But if there is nothing wrong with your kidney dialysis will kill you they miss diagnost him.

Hip-Hop isn't dead... it's evolving. It's nothing wrong with broadening your horizons. Static was very talented & versatile. He even worked with Jamie Foxx. The list goes on & on...R.I.P. Static!

WOW! after lollipop i never knew who "static major" was but the weird thing was i thought he looked so familiar. then i heard he passed but still didn't know. i actually loved playa and had the single and cd when they 1st came out. i missed that group over the years.i still have my cds in a safe place. i used to feel like he reminded me of somebody i know when lollipop came on. he def. didn't look 33 i thought he was a kid. he was truly talented. bless his family.

Screw you blaze staic major was the stuff. supertime suppose to come out in 2009. He died of being sick and he went to the hospital. they gave him a shunt to cure him. He called his mama and said that it didn't feel right. so when the doctors became aware they took it out but they took n the wrong manner.
