@Kevinioto12 nope,i use windows 7 premium and windows movie maker and windows media player,with the videos straight off the camera,no problems. Id also ACTUALLY RECOMMEND installing the media browser software the camcorder comes with,for once its somthing thats a really great piece of software. And its actually useable/usefull. Pm if u need any help. I have the Gz-ms230 as well. Magnificent camera for the mieasly $139 price tag. Easily beat the sony's in the same price range IMO

I am thinking about buying this for making videos on YouTube.. I make makeup videos and would plan on zooming into my eye makeup to show how to do it.... do you think this would work well for that ? Thanks!

mine is a JVC Everio gz-ms240. And mine came with a dead pixel, and when I uploaded a video on youtube it have lines in it. Im so pissed. But is there a difference between 240 and 230?

@MEEProduction  yeah all of a sudden there is a green dot on all of the videos like somthing in the lens is fried but i think the 230 is cheaper and has only 8gb internal mem with onee sd slot
