  • 1900 bucks. sha right only 500 here. nice new wv. looks like your doing now. peace. gregg

  • Thanks - Well, hopefully, by now, the insurance has paid for most of that 1900 - I sure haven't sent in that kind of scratch.

  • Glad to see you again, Ken.

DMCA is the pits. I did a video at the local Louie Bluie Festival yesterday, and some of the folks cannot understand why I did not record some of the bands.

    Thank you Kevin MacLeod

    Be careful, Ken

    Frank

  • It is the pits, isn't it? A video of a blues festival, without music. What have the lawyers reduced us to?

  • Damn, glad you came out OK man!

Good to see you smiling ;D

  • Good to be smiling... ;^)

  • good to see u back :)

  • Thanks! Good to hear from you!

  • What do you drive, you have a massive sunroof.

  • VW Tiguan!

  • still alive, but only just by the sound of it!

  • I know I'm alive, because being dead can't be this painful ;^)

  • Wow! Glad you're ok. I dumped my motorcycle about 2 months ago, and also got a ambulance ride. About the same bill, as well! I didn't regain consciousness until the ambulance was pulling away, so I didn't have the presence of mind you exhibited in snapping some photos. My face was mangled and bloody anyway!

  • Ouch!!! That's why I don't ride a motorcycle. Glad you're still around to tell about it.

  • Making no sense at all? How would we know the difference?

  • Ah, good. Coherence has always been overrated in my opinion.

  • Glad to see you're doing pretty good after the wreck Ken. The Tiguan panoramic sunroof looks very cool!!!

  • Panoramic Sunroof FTW! Thanks!

  • I'm glad you're on the mend now. Just a shame the accident had to happen at all.

  • Thanks - Appreciate it.

  • mikma was here

  • :^)

  • Did the EMTs serve caviar?

  • No - not even a glass of water. But I'm sure they went out for lobster and champagne after they dropped me at the ER.

  • Glad to hear you are ok -- I had thought you might have given up on YouTube, so I hope you understand that I'm relieved it was just a totaled vehicle, sustained injuries and a painful recovery -- lol!

  • Yes, disillusionment with YT would have been so much worse that car crash! ;^)

  • Wow, not fun at all! Glad to hear you're doing ok, or at least not too bad.

  • Nothing that a big glass of whiskey can't make better. Which reminds me... it's dinner time! (Now where's that bottle?)

  • wow! Great to know you are ok. In the end, everything works out.

  • Thanks - So far, it's working out, but, damn, it hurts!

  • As is everyone else, I am so relieved your are alright - well, physically ;)

I just read your comment stating that the cause of the accident took off!! I guess it never ceases to amaze me how someone could do that.

Your lookin' good kid ;) So very good to see you!

  • Thanks - It's certainly not an event I want to ever repeat. And if I ever see that guy who hit me...

  • So sorry to hear that you became a "kenrg sandwich"! That's not right! Hope your back, neck etc makes a full recovery. Best wishes from Australia!

  • Thanks - No, not the kind of sandwich I prefer being in the middle of, to be sure.

  • Wow! Felony hit and run - prolly someone with big problems - illegal, substances, no license or insurance; something like that. I'm so glad you are healing and hope you'll continue to do so. Nice to see you back and since I love Palm Spring, will look forward to your upcoming video. We are just back from the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival. Good stuff.

  • Balloons and wine? Quite a mixture! We once did the balloon flight over Napa - Great experience. And, yeah, I'm sure the idiot who hit and ran had bigger problems than just leaving part of his fender and smashed headlights behind.

  • Well that sucks i think ppl are just forgetting how to drive though.I was hit around two weeks ago not my fault and no big injuries. But the car was a total loss though the insureance compaines are draggin there feet to get me a settlement.Funny thing is im looking in to buyin a VW when i do get the money.Glad you are well now.

  • Well, there are easier ways to get a new car... Glad you're okay too. The world's gone crazy, and driving skills are the first thing to go.

  • That picture at 1:06 is just priceless. Glad yr OK Kenrrrg!

  • That's what "being in shock" looks like. Not pretty. Not pretty at all.

  • No, I thought it was a good pix! Surprised it's not yr Twitter picture.

And I'm not setting u up either, I think it's GREAT!

  • Doesn't the person who plowed into you have to pay your medical bills?

  • That's the part I forgot to mention: The fool who plowed into me sped away from the scene. Felony hit and run. Nice guy.

  • That's terrible! I'm glad that you survived it...what an awful thing to experience.

  • I didn't know, Darlin'. I hope you got good drugs, and you're takin' it easy.!

  • The drugs were good for a couple of days, but once I had to head back to work I needed to cut down, if you know what I mean.

  • Cut down ??

Do me a personal favor - no more pills.

I've just been reading about how easily

people get up to 100 pills per day,

forged prescriptions, crime, bankruptcy, ruined lives.

Don't take that trip my friend.

Maybe yoga would help you and your viewers

with backs and joints. Check with your quack first!

  • No, I'm not a pill popper - I'm only using them occasionally, and frankly, not the prescription ones since the first couple of days, but mostly more natural and herbal stuff - but even that I'm not leaning on heavily.

  • Sounds nasty, I read about it on your blog. Glad it was not more serious!:)

  • Me too - I'm just hoping for a bit of a slow period where I can do some videos and enjoy some relaxation. Come on, summer, don't disappoint me...

  • ...and here I thought you got sucked into the Mystery Spot.

Good to see you back - nice new wheels!

  • Well, it wasn't too many miles from the Mystery Spot, so maybe you've got a point there. Good to be back, and yeah, the ride is smooth.

  • Cool to know you are still alive! I WANT MY CHOCOLATE GRILLED STEAK!!!!!!!

  • Mmm... steak! Sounds good, can you put one on for me too? I've really got to make a new grilling vlog soon...

  • Doing 'shrooms in the dessert, huh?

  • I don't remember ... I guess I better take a look at that footage...

  • "Still alive and well every now and again I know it's kind of hard to tell, but I'm still alive and well" Johnny Winter

  • Great quote! Thanks!

  • When the strapped me to the body board and put in the ambulance I thought I was dead too - not the most comfortable ride...

  • So did you need an ambulance ride for the bill for the ambulance ride...

    Taurig?

I thought you'd call me to change the bed pans...

  • Tiguan (new model) - a little smaller than the Taureg (Where do they come up with these names?)

I don't need any help with the bed pans, but if you've got an extra bottle of Jack Daniels sitting around that you're not using, that's real good for the pain...

  • I'd be knockin on yer backscreen door but graveyards are calling he he

  • Eeeek! Didn't know about the crash. I thought you were having an existential crisis or depressed or something. You're in good health, so that the most important. The VW is important two. Nice wheels!! I hate ambulance rides. I was knocked out once and I knew the drivers. They put on futuristic clothes when I woke up and had me convinced I'd been in a coma for two decades. Okay, that didn't happen. I just took a course in infusing humor in medicine. I don't think that one would qualify.

  • Well, it's a great story - I'm going to pretend it really did happen and tell it to people at bars. And, yeah, I'm always having existential depressions, but that's never stopped me from vlogging.

  • It's been a long time!!! Car crash! Ouch!!! Glad to see you're well now! I knew ambulance rides were expersive, but dang!!! Nice car!!!

  • I could almost understand the cost if they'd needed to provide any treatment in transit, but all they did was strap me to the board and drive off. They were nice and all, but - as you said - Dang!!!

  • great video, stay alive please.

  • I'm trying. I'm stiff, but not a stiff.

  • DAMN RIGHT, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!!

Hope you'll be feeling better soon. Had a wreck myself near Christmas... a little old lady hit my passenger side. Glad you're okay.

I'd get an attorney if I were you... they'll take care of everything.

  • Hopefully I won't need an attorney - They actually made me a higher settlement on the vehicle than I expected, and - so far - they've been good about the medical stuff.

When my wife had an accident about ten years ago we had to sue the insurance company. It took three years, and by the time it was over we paid the doctors, the lawyer, and had a wopping $94 left to ourselves.

So how are you doing from your accident?

  • Still lacking a car, but my body is none the worse for wear.

Luckily my lawyer was able to settle my case out of court, pay the chiropractor, and still put money in my pocket after it all. Sorry to hear your other accident didn't go so well.

  • Do you know there is an running on your video asking if the viewer to click to see if their husband is gay? What kind of advertising does YouTube accept?

  • WTF? "Click if your husband is gay"? How do any of the keywords on this vlog get me in line for that? LMAO!

  • Actually I think it invites you to click to see if he is gay. I guess they are going to give the answer.

  • I just checked - and now there's one that says "Speeding? We'll get you out of your traffic ticket" - Now THAT one goes with a car crash story!

  • I was afraid another site had taken you from us.

  • No - Other sites can borrow me, but they can never take me away completely ;^)

  • Looking a bit like Mr. Miyagi in the ambulance! Cool.

  • LMAO - The ambulance driver said that everybody asks to have their picture taken while they're in transit - well, at least, the ones who are conscious.

  • 1900$ dollars for ambulance service in america, what are they bounty (victim) hunters?

  • I might have gotten a better deal from bounty hunters! Next time, that's who I'll call.

  • What a great Car! lucky you :D and also lucky from the accident....happy you're doing great....Good to see you....

  • Thanks - Yeah, it could have been a lot worse, but then, it could have been better ;^)

  • Glad you're well - as long as you don't get a whiplash from the hospital bill!

  • Really! I'll put in a stress claim to recover from the medical claim!

  • Good to know that you are allrigt Great to see you again, great new car!! I hope you keep feeling better and better. by the way what camera are you using. Picture look pretty good.

  • This was shot using the built-in iSight webcam on my MacBook - I'm very pleased with the quality it gets. Good to hear from you again, too, my friend.

  • I am glad you are doing well! How fast was the other car going?

That is about right for an ambulance ride. I don't know about how much insurance covers but I bet they will cover something, hopefully like 80%.

  • The speed limit on the road was 40 mph, but it seemed he may have been going a little more than that. It was a heck of a way to start out the day. Hopefully, between the auto insurance and the regular medical, it will cover more than 80% - we'll see...

  • OMG Ken so glad your ok your a super guy love ya!! i guess at least one good thing you got a new car but still feel bad your got sandwiched. take care your friend Jo (from canada)

  • I love the new car, but there's got to be easier (and less painful) ways to get one!

  • oh i agree 100% sincerley I am so glad you are going to be ok. your such a good man very rear these days kisses n hugs =)

  • Glad you weren't damaged to badly! And now you're back vlogging again!

Good thing you weren't doing it when it happened ...

  • Oh, yeah, I meant to mention that I was NOT automovlogging at the time of the accident! But lucky I do carry my still camera to get the other shots ;^)

  • i hope you're pain free quickly; are you finding that the chiropractor is really helping?

  • Yes - He's very good. There are some very bad (possibly dangerous) chiropractors, but I found this guy several years ago after much searching and trust him.

  • glad you are back in one piece with the good old Kenrg cheer.

  • Thanks - good to be back.

  • thats a pwetty german car ;)

and omg.. that's what you have to pay for getting to a hospital after a frikken CAR ACCIDENT?! america is insane, if i may say so o_o

  • That's just for the RIDE to the hospital - I still haven't seen the bill for the x-rays and exam!

And I picked the VW because it reminded me of you ;^)

  • Wow, you can make even the word "fabulous" sound so manly :D

    Good to hear everythings cool.

  • LMAO - I just don't know what to say to that...

  • thanks for the update man

  • Thanks for stopping by!

  • Guarenteed the insurance company won't pay near that for the ride. If you were to have to make that bill you could probably negotiate the bill. Glad you weren't hurt badly! Be well!

  • Well, I gave them info for both the car insurance and the regular health insurance - I've met the deductible on each several times over - We'll see what I end up out of pocket...

  • A bit of a car wreck...that's quite an understatement, Ken ^_^U

Glad to hear you're alive and back on your feet! Life goes on!

  • Thanks - It's been an interesting month, but looking forward to getting back to "normal"

  • it's good to hear you're doing ok Ken.

$1,900 for an ambulance ride WTF!

At least they're still free over here :)

  • Next time I need an ambulance I'll ask them to take me to London.

  • glad your ok

  • Thanks!

  • glad to see your ok

  • Thanks!

  • Not the kind of sandwich one might brag about, but you DO look happy in that one photo.

WTF is up with that bill??!! Good grief!

I'm glad you're still alive and feeling better after that - and nice car!

  • Good grief is right - And we wonder why our health care system is so screwed up when a 12 mile ride costs two grand. And, yeah, it's a sweet ride.

  • GOOD!!!!

  • Good that I was in a wreck, or good that I'm still alive? Wait... don't answer that ;^)

  • lol good that you are still alive, lol
