What? I thought that in the reboot, you play the original Sub Zero. But then, this is a reboot of MK 1,2, and 3.

Originally, when the game was first announced, NRS probably wanted Sub Zero is be the older brother. However, when the question of Noob Saibot came up, they changed their minds. I bet the whole story for new MK will be similar to MK1-3, just told in greater detail. But, the ending will change the story for MK4 on.

@XxDarkMatterx1 The team loves to keep fans speculating, so they told us it was the original. Technically it's both since they dress familiar and will most likely use the same model when necessary in the story mode(MK1 part Eler, MK2 Younger).

the one thing that puzzles me is that scorpion killed sub zero in the tournament, so why is this sub zero entering the tournament unless there saying there's a whole generation gap between 1 and 2.

For everyone who is lost by the story behind Sub-Zero, let me fill you in. In Mortal Kombat 1, the original Sub Zero is murdered by Scorpion. In Mortal Kombat 2, Noob-Saibot is revealed and the new Sub-Zero is taken over by his younger brother to avenge him. This is kind of where this section comes from. By Mortal Kombat Deception, Sub-Zero (the younger brother) finds out that Noob-Saibot is his brother. Hope this explains a lot.

@tiggger24 ....do you even know what Mortal Kombat 2011 is about? Ed Boone said time and time again that the game is a re-envisioning of the Mortal Kombat franchise. They are basically rewriting the entire story of MK1,2, and 3.
