Are FLI meant to not be built that well? Im not saying they are bad subs but if you look up "LexManSubs" on here, his FLI Trap 12 is making a "rattling" noise staright from the box, yes he is using it indoors, but you will see what I mean...

There are many reasons why his may be "rattling" It could have been over driven, under driven, it may be a manufacturing problem. Like all electronic products FLI items can go wrong - we however have a failure rate of 0.3% which is so low it is pretty much unheard of!

I had one that gave some sort of distortion, then got it replaced, which is when i found out it was because i was underpowering it from the PSU I was using. My second one I was replaced with (Not by FLI, by an ebay seller who has conveniently done a runner), and now its all rattly (see my new video on fli rattling).

I took the sub out the enclosure, and i noticed an odd design of the + and - wires being threaded through the suspension, which is on the side of the subwoofer which is seized and causing the rattling. All other subwoofers I've seen have the wires going up above the suspension, and doesn't get in the way. =/

I am thinking of sticking a different sub in the Active enclosure if that is a design flaw, and not done by the idiot company i bought the subwoofer from.

SPL is Sound Pressure Level - the industry standard for measuring how loud somethign is - the reading is giving in decibels (db)

DJUPLIFT - The box is one we made ourselves - it is currently not for sale but may be in the future.
