Well, I just bought this machine and I love it. I had a singer machine before which kept going wrong and needed repairs. I didn't expect all these problems from a machine that was only two years old.

Now I have the brother it is reliable and easy to use. It is very smooth and quiet.

The tern "you get what you pay for" is very true when it comes to sewing machines.

Dulce, retail is somewhat under $3,000. You can find a refurbished one at Ebay for $1,600. I think it is ridiculous. You can get a perfectly reasonable machine that does all kinds of things for a very reasonable price. This machine is for the rich sewer who has more money than she knows what to do with.

Beautiful machine, but the cost really shocked me. I can't imagine anyone ever needing 460 stiches, for any reason. It is a luxury machine for those who have money to burn.
