I'm sure if my grandmother was alive it would thrill her sanctified soul to know that so many have been blessed by this song which God gave to her to bring her comfort. She wrote many more. Rev. 19 is an awesome number that the NJBC choir sung. I have it on CD. I don't know who chosendisciple is; but, you're right my Bigma was COGIC but she wanted her songs to touch the world. OMG!.....This album was my Sunday morning inspiration when I lived in Germany in the 1980's and didn't have a real church to attend. I used to crank up that Sansui sound system and rattle them windows all cross Bavaria. Lookin' thru old file cabinet found the double album set in mint condition. Rev. Tom Brown was pastor of Union Bethel AME, New Orleans and he'd strut across that altar singing this and tear it up. real church music.Thanks Emanuel.

This version was written by my grandmother, Mother Llliian Bouknight in 1973-74 when the Lord revealed to her my Mom was dying from breast cancer. My brother in law, Elder Jeff LaValley asked her if he could share this song w/the world as he felt it would help countless thousands and it has and is doing just that. All glory belongs to God

Thank you so much for posting this song. I remember singing this when I was a child on the youth choir. I had been looking for this song for years. It seemed like each time that I did a search for it it would give me James Cleveland's version. Cleveland's version is nice but this one gets me choked up. Be Blessed!

The lady whom wrote this sing is from my hometown, she was a COGIC mother at the local COGIC church. She has since went home to be with Lord.

It DOES have a Rev. James Cleveland feel to it. Of course, Rev. Cleveland was HUGE at that time, and gave many artists and composers firsthand inspiration, knowledge, and guidance.

OH YES!!! Our gospel choir used to sing this and they could Sang it! My Grandma loves to tell the story of how the choir didn't want to sing but they sang it one Sunday and the pastor asked them to sing it again. ever since then they fell in love with it.
