  • I'm a Christian Universalist who believes that Jesus Christ died for all and will redeem all. I'm certainly no communist and never have been. If the communists have talked about fair play for all, it's simply because too many Christians have abdicated their duty to speak up in this regard. Jesus Christ had a lot to say about how we treat our neighbors but too many Christians fail to heed what he said and have become some heavenly minded that they are no earthly good. Sometimes, the truth hurts.

  • Lots of comments here, mostly, I think, not really about this video. The video is good sound teaching. Charles Fuller was, it seems, a good sound Bible teacher.

  • Edwin stil trying to push is narrow bigoted socialist view on people by doing what every socialist does, lying and distortion? Why, yes, it appears to be that he is.

  • I checked EVERY old newspaper archive and Fuller did not own any department stores. Never did. His father owned a furniture store in downtown L.A. but sold it is 1896. One cannot argue that it must have happened because there are no records of it--that they were lost or hidden. Silence is not evidence. There is not a shred of evidence that Fuller was involved (nor should he have been since he had no business interests in Orange County by then), All we have are claims made on the internet.

  • NOW HEAR THIS! I have tried to reason with Dreadmore but instead of engaging in a peaceful and educational discussion, he acts like a spoiled child, calls people names and gets mad when he does not get his way. I bet he thinks that Abe Lincoln made a mistake when he freed the slaves. It's time he got into the 21st Century and realizes that people will not be anybody's slave anymore. There are rules out there to be obeyed and honest people do not fear them, only those who will not share.

  • @Edwin572 waa waa waa boo hoo the cry baby cry, go to mommy she will give you a cookie and milk but then off to bed. youre nothing but an extortionist, a rampant socialist douche who thinks he has the right to force people to live and act they way you see fit. beat it down the road ya loser everyone hates you.

  • We brought nothing into this world when we were born and we will not be able to take anything out when we die. God owns everything and we are his stewards and he has entrusted us to look after his possessions and see that everyone gets their fair share. There is plently for everybody if we obey God and treat people fairly. We can only drive one car and live in one house at a time. There is no reason that anybody should go to bed hungry or not be able to afford proper medical care.

  • then stop ur cry baby routine and start acting like a civilized human being and stop trying to force people into your narrow view of life.

  • @Edwin572 "Fair share?" You, sir, are a Marxist and a communist.

  • @Edwin572 Edwin: try to forget about the 21st century BS-remember, 2 Thess 3:10 says that "if any man will not work, neither should he eat". And how about the parable of the talents (Mat. 25): those who had nothing to show the Lord because they DID nothing GOT NOTHING except condemnation. I'm a Big Charles E fuller fan; hope you are too. God bless.

  • @Edwin572 ps-Jesus NEVER said we should give to the poor out of threat and force (ie, by way of the government)-only willingly and out of a generous heart. Get it straight- your view represents the exact opposite of what Jesus actually said.

  • It's ironic that Charles Fuller is talking about the Wiles of the Devil in this video. He should have been protecting himself from the devil back in the 30's & 40's because what he did to the workers then was something straight out of the pits of hell. Jesus would never have supported what Charles Fuller did to the poor workers. The gifts Charles made to Christian causes were tainted money & in God's sight were worthless straw not worthy of an award in Heaven but suitable only for destruction.

  • These evil practices did not die out with Charles Fuller. There are many so called Christinas today who think it's all right to build up the Kingdom of God on the misery and anguish of the poor. They believe it's OK to bash people's heads in for the sake of corporate profits as long as the one doing the bashing is not gay, is against abortion and is for family values. God help us if that is the kind of Christianity that we are involved in today. That's why I don't support the Christian Right.

  • My personal opinion as a Christian Universalist is that Charles Fuller is going to have a lot of explaining to do at the Judgement Seat of Christ. In listening to his Old Fashioned Revival Hour Broadcasts online, it's hard to believe it's the same person speaking. How can he sound so pious on the air & be so ruthless off it. He is a hypocrite of the worst kind & a wolf in sheeps's clothing. I'm 69 years old & still remember those broadcasts from years ago. They sound innocent, but they are not.

  • In the 1940's, Charles Fuller, who had department stores in Santa Ana & Riverside, ruthlessly put down a strike at one of them & then sent a portion of the strike fund not used to Wycliffe as a Thank-Offering to God for his success against the workers. This Christian philanthropy founded on the bashed heads of workers, most of them fellow-Christians, also supported Dallas Theologial Seminary and Campus Crusade as well as other causes. Are you for this? Would Jesus be for this?

  • Charles Fuller had a dark side. During the 1930's as Head of the California Orange Growers Association, he exploited poor whites from the Midwest by running deplorable slave labor camps. He paid low wages and took back half for rent which was for only a plot of dirt to put a tent on. He broke up a strike for better wages and conditions in 1936 by turning deputies armed with clubs and tear gas on the workers. They were put in a stockade and then tried and sent to jail thus breaking up families.

  • youre a fool, typical socialist liberal douche

  • @Edwin572 whats even more funny is your attempt to relate your personal politics as the expression of the word of God, that makes you a false prophet and a pharisee yourself. better go check yourself in the mirror there bud.

  • @Edwin572 your assumptions are irrelevant and your statments are ignorant. your politics are evident so stop trying to use Jesus as some sort of justification to perpetuate the ideology of slavery and chaines.

  • your politics are clearly exploitive and manipulative; you live in a fantasyland of your own making, have fun in there.

  • Fantasyland is the home of Mickey Mouse. I live in the real world. With regards to what I have said, it's all true and can be proved. It appears that you have developed the ostrich syndrome and prefer to hide your head in the sand, hoping what I have to say will just go away. Well it isn't going away and the sooner you face the truth, the better it will be for you. Sometimes, the truth hurts. Think about it!

  • you are mickey mouse, and your head is filled with sand. you would not know the truth if it jumped up and bit you on the ass! youre nothing but a typical liberal douche who thinks the world owes you a favor. i have news for you, no one owes you anything! Time to grow up and start acting like a civilized human being instead of a self centered cry baby pouting in the corner because mommy didnt give you a friggin cookie!

  • I don't expect anything from the world. Mister, you have no self esteem. You instead go around calling people names. Since when has standing up for the rights of the underdog made anybody a self centered cry baby? If what you are saying is what you call Christianity, it's no wonder that Ghandi and Bertrand Russell did not become Christians. I know two lesbian Christians and they treat me with dignity and in a Christlike way. Thank goodness there are still some good people around.

  • @Edwin572 WAA! WAA! WAA! cry baby! youre not standing up for anyone youre trying to oppress people that dont agree with your limited view of life. You are the oppressor, and a simple minded one at that. As for Ghandi or Russell they had their excuses just like you and I could care less about either of them. As for the rest of your phoney examples we can add that to your other lies that perpetuate your myths.

  • His moral values means equality. Pass it on.-Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Very true. There are no second class citizens in God's sight. Everyone is considered equal. Jesus told us to do unto others as we would want them to do unto us. If the shoe was on the other foot, would Charles E. Fuller want to be treated like dirt and exploited because he was down on his luck through no fault of his own? I don't think so. What do you think?

  • for you "exploitation" means someone has to get up at 7am to go to work. you think everything should be handed to your lazy socialist ass because somehow youve convinced yourself that the world owes you a living. time to move out of your parents basement and into the real world.

  • Mister, these people were willing to work and were not lazy. But Charles E. Fuller paid them 25 cents an hour and then took half of it back for rent which was a piece of ground to pitch a tent on. There was no running water or toilet facilities in most of these camps. All these people were wanting was a raise to 40 cents an hour and improved working conditions. There are dogs that live better than those camp conditions were. He had the money and could have well afforded to better things.

  • youre the one that is lazy you act like people are forced to work in this country though i would wager youre all for forcing people against their will. i bet youre all for obamas healthscam arent ya pal? you live in a delusion, you think you have the right to dictate to people how they should or should not run their business. i bet youve never owned a business and considering what a lazy cry baby you are i doubt you ever will.

  • We cannot do as we please. There are laws in place to see that everyone plays fair. In the case of business, there are labor laws. There are good businessmen that play by the rules and are just as much against what Charles E. Fuller did as I am. I live in Canada where we have had National Medicare since the 60's. It was a Conservative Goverment that got the ball rolling to get it started. People like Charles E. Fuller make it hard for those who play by the rules.

  • @Edwin572 just as I thought youre a typical lazy socialist wind bag so full of youreself that you have no problem forcing others against their will and at the point of a gun to put things into your pocket that you have never earned nor deserve. friggin hypocrite!

  • A workman is worthy of his hire. The people that Charles E. Fuller exploited worked long hours for low pay and had to put up with deplorable working and living conditions. Collective bargaining is an acceptable business practice. These people wanted to negotiate peacefully but Charles E. Fuller refused and instead used clubs and tear gas to break up the camp and sent these people to a stockade and eventually to trial and jail. How can anyone call themselves a Christian and resort to this?

  • @Edwin572 boo hoo someone did not bow to your socialist agenda so you got your socialist panties in a bunch. no one cares about you or your douch bag political ideas.

  • @Edwin572 youre so full of crap its comng out of your ears. ever heard of the rule of law? wait, I know everyone is supposed to believe the way you do! ya socialist gasbag

  • Remember, the Bible says that to whom much is given, much is expected. Charles E. Fuller was given much but instead of providing decent conditions for his workers, he chose to do as little as possible and gave the money to Christian causes instead. He failed to realize that charity begins at home. He followed the way of Cain, and you know what God thought of Cain's sacrifice. Mister, you are just like a politician, you avoid answering any hard questions that I ask you.

  • you dont have hard questions because all your fantasy stupidity is based on a lie.

  • What I have said about Charles E. Fuller is historical fact if you care to look it up on the internet. If he had enough money to support Christian Causes, he had enough to provide better wages and working conditions for his workers. There are many good Christian businessmen out there who play by the rules and do both. Making excuses for Charles E. Fuller by crying he is being mistreated is a copout as far as I am concerned.

  • @Edwin572 youre a friggin hypocrite, go soak your neighbor for his mney to pay for your insurance you lazy socialist douche!

  • For our health insurance in Canada, nobody gets it for nothing. We pay for it through our taxes, both Federal and Provincial. Two Provinces have premiums but they are very modest and in the range of $500 -$900 per year single and double that for family. My Province has no premiums. While US Income Tax is lower than in Cnada, by the time you add on US Health Insurance Premiums there is little or no savings. Our system is more efficient as there is a wider spreading of the risk.

  • @Edwin572 yeah ya jackass its paid through taxes at the threat of violence if one doesnt pay you frigggin douch! ya go to jail if ya dont pay your extortion tax! stfu ya socialist weenie

  • @Edwin572 This is simply not true. I am a historian of religion in America, a professor, who is completing a biography of Chas. E. Fuller. I have thoroughly researchedin the Orange County archives these claims made by someone on the internet years ago. You can ask the archivist there -- there is simply no evidence Fuller was the least bit involved in those terrible raids. By that point he lived in South Pasadena (L.A. County) and the only orange grove he still owned was in Riverside County.

  • @pgoff13 Did you check in any of the old newspaper archives? Also did you check old arrest records from that time? Also, what about the strikes that were put down in some department stores owned by him? Another thing to remember, records have a way of disappearing if certain people are paid the right amount of money. Considering all the scandals in the Christian world today, Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Baker, Ted Haggard etc., I'm not fuilly convinced that these things never happened.

  • Will someone please post piano rendition "Heavenly Sunshine" that Fuller opened his broadcasts with.

  • Thanks Dave, love his preaching !

  • doesn't it say that satan can no longer go before the throne of God? i think i read that someplace.

  • no it doesn't say that. it says Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

    ------------THIS IS AFTER THE RAPTURE

  • Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And to finish the scriptural reference that dunhova posted. Notice at 4:59 this same quote and the past tense (accused). This is when all hell will literally break out upon the son's of disobiedance.

  • Good old Stock Dave!

This the best of the best kind of Preaching.

My Generation has lost so much..........

    Danny

  • what year was this spoken?
