@WholeTruthZ I'm guessing yes, as it's not specifically marketed for airsoft guns (and airsoft guns are replicas, after all). The difference being maybe that this is really cheap and probably not the best choice for "real steel" :)

This ill-fitting laser has destroyed the slide rail on my HFC M190 - it is too small, you have to prise the teeth open with a screwdriver, slide it on (scraping the paint off the gun) and then tighten the nuts. It is so tight, that it has crushed in the walls of the slide rail thus preventing the slide from sliding back and forth, ie.e. killing the gun.

I wish I hadn't bought it. Maybe it was only $20 but it's just cost me a $200+ gun.

Yes, you have to be careful.. But why would you tighten the nuts when it's already too tight..? You sure you can't find a spare rail instead of buying a whole new gun?

Because due to its design, the laser is still loose in the clamp unless the nuts are tightened. I could buy a spare rail and will happily do so, it's just they are not easy to find. Also, the rail is pretty much the whole gun minus the slide and magazine and the bits inside. Unlikely anyone would have this whole body part as a spare. Of course, if anyone does, please let me know..!

That is true this one is probly not made for a real firearm in that case it really dont matter. And your wrong about the lasers, they will always help your get on target faster, you can fine tune your aim after your there.

If you practice, you do not need a laser sight to get on targer. Train yourself by pulling your gun and aiming at a point on the wall... do it several times daily. Pretty soon, you look at the point on the wall and pull your side arm and the sights go right too it. I plink small pieces of brick out of my driveway with a Kimber 1911 with a .22LR conversion and never really look at the sights.. Practice practice my friend.

The laser uses CR123A 3V Lithium batterys. The one that comes with it isn't rechargeable. Don't know if they sell rechargers, but my guess is that these will last quite a long time before draining.

For the other two can't really answer because haven't tried how it looks to 50 yards nor do I know anything about .22 rifles.. But why not? :)

I bought the 65$ dollar version from ebaybanned. Green laser, with everything included. Very powerful and really menacing-looking. Had the same problem fitting it on my HFC m190 (mount needed to be stretched) but it was well worth it. Turn it up towards the sky on a fogy night and you'll look like a jedi.

The problem with powerful green lasers is that they are too powerful; unless everyone agrees that you may fry their eyes with it, I wouldn't recommend using it in a match.

Other than that green lasers are cool and it's not like lasers are very useful in most games anyway.. Anyway you probably knew all this, just writing it here for the general public to read :)
