Valentino is BEAUTIFUL. I can't believe he was a rescue. You've done an amazing job with him... and in such a relatively short time. Congratulations! How old is he and what breed?
Thanks! He such an amazing horse. Valentino is a Hanoverian, registered Oldenburg. I just found the brand two weeks ago. I body clipped him and the hair finally was at a length that it appeared. We are now schooling canter pirouettes and single and two changes. Course we won't be showing at that level anytime soon. Just having fun!
Isn't that funny to find his brand after a body clip. What a nice surprise! I'd love to see more videos of the two of you! Canter pirouettes and two changes! Wow!!! I look forward to the day my boy and I are ready for that. What fun!
A rescue???? You've got to be kidding me! This horse looks amazing. So uphill and lovely. What a wonderful job you did with rehabilitating this horse. Best of luck to the two of you!
No problem. I am training my own horse. She is a grey arabian mare who is a little underweight and is 5 years old. Good luck!!!! P.S. I am going to a dressage show on sunday!!! Woohoo
Thanks. We have been together for about 7 months. He had training, but was pretty rusty-not accepting of the bit, locked at the poll, ducking & diving, bucking, and ready to jump out of his skin. He was also 400 pounds underweight, had bad teeth, poor farrier work, rain rot and caked in mud and kick marks all over his body. I spent the first 6 weeks rehabbing him, starting with walk only. He has been consistently getting better with his training.
Again... ya damn Swede! I love to hate you two. I wish I could have been there to see this. You both look incredible! Great riding, Annika and Tino's is looking fantastic.
Please see my favs. too for more videos of Tino and me at a recent clinic with trainer Shaana Risley Pritchard from Wellington, FL.
