@DjTheVision select the pencil tool (Draw Mode) by pressing the pencil at the top of the screen or press Option > Draw Mode. Hope this helps.

Do you lose quality while freezing and flattening?

Cause if you do... I mean saving CPU power would really only be terribly useful for a live DJ environment, then I could see sacrificing quality for speed.
