  • Why is it unfortunate that the brake isn't threaded. Is it that important to be able to take it off?

  • @lcawood - I wouldn't say that it is "important" but I would rather have the option to shoot with or without the brake. There are also several new muzzle brakes coming out that I would like to experiment with that are specifically designed around the 50 Beowulf.

  • Sheesh! What kind of buffer do you use for that monster? I'm guessing/hoping it isn't a stock one lol.

  • @commisar1337- I actually do use a stock buffer system. There are some other options out there, but I don't see it as being necessary.

  • How's the reliability?

  • @theusmarine2013- Have never had a reliability issue with this weapon, so I would say extremely reliable, even under nasty conditions

  • Could provide a link to where you bought your magazine from? I would like to get one of these for mine.

  • 50beowulfDOTcom/bboard. I will send you a message with the direct link to the thread.

  • That thing's a beauty!

  • Time to go duck hunting.

  • Now im Jealous

  • the Russians have their 9x39mm and we americans have the .458 socom and .50 beowulf! both are bigger!

  • Have you taken any game with this caliber yet? Thanks.

  • Took a 216lb black bear back in December using factory 334gr HP ammo. One shot drop at about 75 yards

  • That's a good bit of bear sausage.

  • very nice weapon penatration was not what i expected tho

  • i just got a .50 beowulf how do i get a custom magazine like that and i want a custom dust cover as well

  • check out 50beowulfDOTcom/bboard. Just make a name. LOTS of great info on there. Message me and I will give you the info to get a dust cover and magazine.

  • Man why do american civilians need guns so powerful, to shoot aliens one day when earth is invaded?

  • I use it to hunt big game animals and to protect my home from criminals. I skip the small handgun for protection, because if you come in my house uninvited the only way you are leaving would be in a body bag

  • Amen

  • Hunting, home defense, range shooting, and collections. On average 700,000 home invasions are stopped by the home owner having a gun. Guns are not a bad thing, most people who own them are trained to handle them, and many of them are kept in secure safes and are never taken out unless needed. Also a powerful weapon is going to take out an attacker quicker, and if you don't hit them the sound will be enough to scare them away.

  • "Man why do american civilians need guns so powerful"

Most civilians who own weapons like these never have to use them for what they're built for, but... They certainly are fun to screw around with :) Who doesn't want to punch a massive hole through that stupid microwave that's been giving you trouble?

  • Because there's lots of large dangerous animals here. Because guns symbolize freedom and tradition to us. Because there's lots of retarded low lifes here. And because they're extremely fun to own.

  • Large calibers like that are handy for hunting dangerous game such as bears and boars. Also, the 2nd Amendment guarantees our right to revolution in case of a tyrannical government.

So regarding your question as to why we have such powerful guns: because we can.

  • Due to the massive firepower of this system, does anyone know how the recoil affects the pins and such?

What I'm trying to say is I was thinking that with such massive firepower, the pins and stuff would wear out. Or maybe the holes and such in which the pins are housed would become warped somehow due to the power of the .50 Beowulf.

Can someone answer this? I want to buy this upper because I have a stripped lower receiver that I have been looking for a good upper for.

    Great video.

  • I have heard no reports on any more wear occurring with the Beowulf than any other system. You just have to make sure everything fits nice and tight to begin with, to minimize unnecessary wear and tear. I can vouch for Alexander Arms in saying they are top notch when it comes to quality and customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to buy without regret.

  • Thanks for the info. This is an amazing system.

  • i want the same gun but i live in canada. i hope my firearm dealer is going to be able to import one for me.

  • can i convert any ar into the 50. beowulf with the 50 upper and the normal standard 5.56 lower assembly or do i need a 50. lower and a 50. upper

  • any mil spec ar-15 lower reciever

  • Nice video and gun! I'm looking to get one. I may do what you've done. Slap the upper on my M4 and get the lower latter.

  • I LOVE IT!!! How much is a box of 100 shots bro?

  • They come in boxes of 20, and there are around $25-$30 a box. Much cheaper to reload.

  • How much cheaper?
