Thanks. It's two years old now, and really I should take it down. I was only just beginning to learn when I made this and it just looks silly now. But I had so much fun making it, it's hard to make myself take it down.
@Gryphon1973 maybe make a neu video, showing how your art has improved so much since this, and add this at the beginning? sort of like saying then and now? Just a thought. You should not lose this.. your first love should never be forgotten.
has anyone esle noticed that this class of star ship loos like it was made out of two cigar cases, one bottle (not sure what type but like an old antacid bottle) and a tennis ball? i remember one behind the FX videos that they showed how they made a shuttle craft out of some old shaving razor handles...just saying that you can pretty much see what they used to make it, and how it was never ment to have it's "close up" but great work.
Oh, this project is so dead. This was my first mesh ever. If I wanted to fix it I would have to rebuild it from scratch. I may get around to it sometime...
@hawkeye343 he made it in blender, it's a 3d tool. You make models of them. He didn't make it how he should've had, I don't remember the daedalus being a ball connected with a stick to a soda can (LOL, joking now, but the hull really looks like one)
@StelarCF i got some coonie skins if you want um im getting used to reskins as had to reskin the v'ger model thats on max for blender use i will be uploading v'ger ut have to get permision from original modeler il add some pics for ya of v'ger
No, I made this mesh a LONG time ago. I was just starting out, and so was pretty much just making details up. I was trying to learn how to model basic forms, and didn't care too much about getting the details "right."
Nicely done this class of ship always fascinated me if I'm not mistaken this was one of the early designs for the Constitution class Enterprise. R.I.P Matt Jefferies!
Thats a really good start, one thing though, i whould advise you to use motion blur, it lenghtens the rendering time mut makes for a more realistic outcome... :D
i loved the giant doorknob at 0:22! Actually for a very first effort this is really good ~^_^~

In Star Trek Enterprise, the Deadelus class shouldve been used, as opposed to the NX class.

this is the chunky clunky design that star trek enterprise should have used for that time period, let's be honest LOL!

Almost good enough for a video game. In the early nineties.

Try changing the hull from a Soda can to a more "Connie" style one

So, this ship actually had fan units mounted inside the aft section of the warp nacells?

IMO they perfected the "globe" design of ships (as opposed to the saucer design) with the USS Pasteur in the the last TNG episode "All Good Things"
This one from TOS looks like somebody built it out of a softball and beer cans in his garage.

Daedalus and Wasp have always been some of my favorite ship classes, too bad they never made a show of either, then again theirs still a chance.

The sound you've used for the flyby is the one of the imperial assault gunboat of the star wars x-wing series of games.
