Independent, I worked in the medical field for many years noticed that some humans we treated made it a point to brag about being atheist but you can believe everyone of them that did this & had their "brush" with death..you know what they were crying out?

I know there is a "Lamb's book of life", which I learned the names of saints is written in by God's grace, Revelation 21:27.
I think Psalm 14:1 sums up the atheists and Romans 1:20 makes it clear they are without excuse, when they deny the reality of God.

For all of you who feel 3 John 1:2 is for every Christian including yourselves and you use it to promote the "prosperity doctrine", that people like Joel Osteen promotes.
You basically are saying poor Christians are evil, remember "just as your soul prospers".
John's statement was not to you, you should be on 1 Timothy 6, instructions to Gentile Christians about wealth.

The Lord stated that we sinners will do right by our children, how much more the Father will give us the Holy Spirit to them that ask. He is the Father of creation. His promises of eternal life are clearly outlined ALL OVER the New Testament. Read it with HUMBLE faith to help you resist the urge to question things in circles. Jesus Christ. Humans have to admit we are sinners,ask for forgiveness (truly mean it in our hearts). Jesus died for our sins so that whoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
I dont debate religion anymore I learned better,but you asked what I believe so there you go.

Hope you saw the comment by k0smon. People like that are the ones I wanted to see the truth, so they are (again) left without any excuse. So if they saw your response, they have again seen truth. Because only those who believe on the Lord Jesus in truth will be saved.

flupachi - You are correct to say the grace of God gets someone into Heaven, but by what means does the grace of God get someone into Heaven? How does one KNOW they will make it?
Titus 2:11 says the grace of God appeared, bringing salvation to all men. He who appeared is the way, the only way, Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 1:9 mentions grace was granted in Christ Jesus.
One needs the grace of the Lord Jesus, which is from the love of God and sealed by the Holy Spirit, 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Independent: How do you get into heaven( or hell(s))? By dying. Everyone goes to the place they deserve. Heaven is about justice. Karma still works. Sorry, the bible is not a good reference. No fires in hell. Just darkness. See "Life in the World Unseen" by someone who lives in that realm and speaks from experience.

AlmaLo1 - That was the Apostle John's prayer to a man he knew. That was not a blanket declaration to the church, that all saints would have their "best life now".
So let me ask you, how come the Apostles of the Lord Jesus and the churches they started were all so poor and not claiming "your best life now"? Or have you not read 1 Corinthians 4:11?
Which of the churches in the Bible was a big money "mega church" teaching prosperity now? Go read 1 Timothy 6.
