They don't use drop D since they use 7 string guitars and 5 string basses. I think they use drop A, though.

Thats the standard but a lot of music chevelle plays is in drop-D... @least thats what ive noticed when it comes to there heavier music... Feel free to correct me :)

No it isn't it's in drop B. Pete Loeffler has confirmed it himself. They've never used drop D ever.
