Really? They feel just as fast to me.

Of course in the PS3/360 version you can hold the boost longer, where the Wii boost has a set time... but that makes deciding when to boost more important, figuring out the best places to do so. Adding a little strategy to the game.

Ussually at the end of that stage I get hit by a missle after touching the goal ring so I win the stage flashing with rings bounceing around :D

I know you have to press the boost button just as sonic says "GO!", not before

Actually, you press it and hold before it sais "GO". Pressing on "GO" will result in a small boost and not a fully charged one.

You need to press it halfway between "1" and "GO" for full effectiveness off the mark.

...Er, no. I think your confused.

You always have 3 empty bars at the start, atleast i do. The better you do the boost spin, the more the bar fills up. There is nothing else to it.
