you can use rc plane rx's to control the gun wirelessly... If you could do a wii remote to a rc transmitter broadcasted to a receiver, you can have more options. Plus with a camera, you can remotely control the sentry gun( no pun intended lol).
It is a WE Hi Capa 5 dot 1that runs off green gas which is contained in the magazine. Its a nice gun but the slide is heavy and it guzzles gas....get a tokyo marui hi capa even though its plastic slide you can't tell and they are built very well.
im doing similar with some success using an ethernet shield and meccano based car with the motor hacked to work with arduino and a servo turning mechanism one problem is the meccano motor is absolutely weedy. Can you think of any way of boosting the power IE/ another motor. I have it hooked up to a transistor and the arduino VIN pin.
PS i cannot come up with a way of making the motor reverse without swapping the wires
I taught myself using the internet, books, and other resources. How I did it was fairly complicated and can't be explained in less than 500 letters lol I explained a lot about how it worked in the video though if you pay attention to the stuff I am talking on about.

I used vb net to program the computer and arduino which is sort of like C/C++ to program the micro controller which hooks up to the computer via USB.
The code can be obtained by getting it from the link in the video description.

I have already released it for free because I can't sell it. Lots of stuff prevents me like the tools I used to make it ect...
Plus its not just the program people have to have the hardware which is the hard part. The software is free but the hardware isn't!

Yep, all you have to do is mount the gun on a 2 axis servo rig with a webcam for motion tracking and your cubical will be very, very secure......
lol Just hope the boss isn't the first one to meet your cubical security system!
