Yes Christianity is about love. God is love, but God is also holy. On one hand, for Christians, when Jesus sat to eat with sinners, it does not exclude homosexuals. Sin is sin - it separates us from God.

This is such a touchy topic... but any who, I'm a 17 year old female. I personally feel that we as people, regardless of your religious beliefs or sexuality, does not have the right to judge each other. Respond to this video... This pastor thinks if he shouts enough he will prevail. His idea that gays will die out if isolated on a desert island shows just how little he understands the issues. Gayness has been present throughout history. Kill them all today, and the next generation will have gays in it. Yes Christianity is about love. God is love, but God is also holy. On one hand, for Christians, when Jesus sat to eat with sinners, it does not exclude homosexuals. Sin is sin - it separates us from God.

I don't think you can be mean to Christians for thinking homosexuality is wrong. Leviticus 18:22-"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination." Matthew 7:1-"Do not judge, or you too will be judged." As a Christian, it isn't our right to judge. It is our right to love the world and lead them to Christ, and if they have Christ in their heart, many of their sins will go away. That's just my opinion on this topic. But I respect both of yours.

Raising children with love is not wrong but bringing them up with the wrong values is wrong. Children need parents to give them a the right balance between a man and a woman. Don't even give me single parent stories because that leads to such pain and confusion in someone's life, just like a homosexual couple does to it's children. Read your own book. Christianity isn't about "equality for everybody" and it is certainly not about "religious freedom for different people." In fact, people who are of different religions are often ordered killed in the bible.
Those are values that you have superimposed on it; they are your own and are not inherent to Christianity. This is what is commonly referred to as a "no true Scotsman" fallacy.

That one pastor is a jackass. There's nothing wrong with us. There's something wrong with HIS view on the world, however. But, it is his view, and he unfortunately is entitled to it... No matter how unentertaining, obnoxious, and unkind it is to use it against others. And that really bites, if you ask me.

Those of us that have lived in a large city, know that many many diverse people exist amongst you there. You learn (sometimes the hard way) that it enriches your world view & your life, attitudes change as you mingle. stereotypes become faded, everyone seems more human, just like you. Thats living in the light of love.

@sleekcartim Ramen friend! I especially agree with "You learn (sometimes the hard way)". So many times I find that even gay people have problems accepting diversity. That seems to be the fundamental problem. Not that people necessarily hate LGBT people, but they fear and mistrust what is not like them. I only hope that this new age of global communication would instill a sense of global community in the younger generation.

@AestusL4 yes, that can be true in some newly gay ppl esp. it's a learning curve, longer for some. I hope they can learn from the older guys & gals. smart ones learn from others mistakes AND their lifes lessons. all in all the gens coming up are suprisingly more insightful / empathetic, thanks, in part to their elders.

All I have to say is that some people just don't have any historical memory whatsoever.
