Throw away all of these little plastic pieces of crap and get a v-pick. Better yet, get a red bear or wegen pick. If you can bend a pick it is too thin. For acoustic you need even less flex and much more thickness. NOT .46mm nylon pieces of paper

Picks are not supposed to have any flex. The lightest pick you should use is heavy. Personally, I use a 5.65 mm V-pick and I'm loving it.

I just make my own picks. I usually make them outta old and broken CDs and DVDs, I made a couple outta wood and different types of plastic.  And here's a really bizarre one, I actually made one outta a turtle shell. And before you ask, yes it was old and the turtle completly rotted away, and yes I did clean it out thuroughly, 4 times to be exact. I took a saw and slowly worked a triangular shape until it fell out, after that I sanded it down to make a pick shape.

They hold up pretty well too, you just have to sand them very well or else it'll be hard to strum with them, cause they can get caught in the string if it has a little knick in it.

Also here's another concept that I just came up with last week... SHARK TEETH! Since I catch sharks every year, this year I decided to take some teeth with me, a decent-sized shark tooth should be around the same size as a pick and depending on which shark it should be around the same shape of a pick, you just need to finely sand down the edges and you got an awesome pick!
