  • I would get all the materials together to make this and throw all of it away except for the trap itself. I don't want to mess with a mouse if the trap will kill it for me!

  • That's pretty cool man!

  • Really good! Will it work for squirrels you think?

    Thanks.

  • @han0115 will a squirrel fit in a soup can?

lol ofc not but u can get a have a heart trap from walmart or tractor supply stores for liek 20 bucks they work great (made of metal suirrels will usualy chew threw metal traps

  • When your done ... Shakie shakie shakie

  • hommade mouse traps... better than crack

  • the door should light a match that then lights a small stick of dynamite.

  • that was pritty inpresive

  • Sooooo cooooool!

  • Nice mau5 trap :)

  • One main problem... bright orange tape

  • Show us

  • Amazing

  • Damn, this kid is smart.

  • thats boss

  • What keeps the lid shut?

  • ya man how do you make it that is really cool,

  • So you used a mouse trap to make a mouse trap? Why?

  • @victor51683 well a trap is to trap somebody or to kill somebody... he picked the humane purpose and its clean... no bloodshed, no shitstains, no puking, just a rat inside a trap... xD

  • it looked like a bomb from what i was thinking

  • show us

  • show us

  • show us how to make it

  • lolzz, that sounds more like a Handy Timer Bomb... like ones in "Saw"

  • A non-lethal mouse trap powered mouse trap, cool! Are the mice then sent to a retirement home where they talk about how they were caught? "Yeah I fell for that two soup can trap door with string deal...what was I thinking?"

  • can you make a tutorial

  • how did you make it

  • i fail to comprehend how it's going to catch a mouse when the trap is triggered from the outside...

  • Mice can bite through metal xD

  • How does he do it? Well,it's just like many traps used for food gathering in the wild where you funnel the animal to where the trigger is. Without looking at it,the trigger I'd say is either a piece of line inside the can-tube that the bait is put on. When the mouse or rat goes for the bait on this trigger line and begins to tug,it pulls on the pan of the mousetrap above, thus relasing the bail on the trap. People have used these kinds of triggers forever.

  • Dude, This was also my plan but I just don't know what materials to use, but yours is better, thanks :)

  • there is no way Jerry is going to fall for that

  • how do you do it

  • What we're watching here is someone having a lot of creative fun. I'd like to see it done without using a mouse trap as a trigger. You have a signal from the baited string, could this be enough to release the trap door? Or perhaps a little pressure plate inside which releases the trap door.

  • you should make it blowup after the door shuts.

  • this could make a great fish trap

  • i have a mouse that is smart i hate that mouse plese help

  • A recursive mousetrap, neat.

  • Try dynamite. Worked for me.

  • should test it out on a rat first before showing it that way it proves the effectiveness of the trap itself (O_O)

  • Great idea, but the mouse is not always going to go inside the can to set it off. Just as he set it off by touching the top the mouse/rat would also be able to. Thus killing the rodent.

  • that is so cool make a nother vid

  • @hunting0327 i like the fact you made a mouse trap out of a mouse trap,my only suggestion would be try and make the gate spring loaded.

  • Damn,,, I thought for sure he was gonna catch his finger

  • has it actually worked?

  • holy shit that thing looked so small until he grabbed it, then it looked big as fuck,

  • My pokeball is the best mouse trap ever LOL

  • wait.... Doesn't the mouse push out instead of in?

  • my question is how is the mouse/ rat going to set off the trap from inside of the trap? do you have to stand there and set it off?

  • @mclucus814 no the mouse enters the trap and pulls on the string which is bated which then is connected to the mouse trap pan sitting on top of the tube

  • Nice trap Turn a kill mouse trap into a live trap!!

  • cool trap dude

  • i looked first it is small battery with tiny mouse trap on it... but yeah if rat goes in it can eat hole in dat can and escape

  • @h4rtherzig well i dont think hes planning to catch a rat dork its a mouse trap

  • @welovehermits well who knows what will go in :') even i can go there if want to

  • @h4rtherzig yeah if your small anof and i dont think you are

  • @welovehermits okey.... why so fucking serious ?!?

  • @h4rtherzig im not that serious im just saying your a dumb negetive jerk.

  • After you trapped the pesky pest in the can, toss the can in a bonfire and listen to it squirm!

  • @MassDynamic or you can simply not be a sadistic fucker, and throw the rat somewhere far away

  • It does use a a standard mouse trap to make one but the benefit here is you can use it as a catch *and release* trap. Good for people who want to remove a mouse from their home without killing it. Glue traps give instructions for catch and release but they are a messy pain.

  • put a mouse in it and hit that shit with a hammer

  • correction... put a condom in the condom box below

  • you're a genius. i had planned to make something like this to catch our rats. they're roof rats, i think, and they can run, like, 40 MPH and out run the goddamn rat traps ALL THE TIME. i figured if i could hook a mouse trap up to a tunnel like this, we could catch them. but i couldn't think what to make it out of or how to get the door to shut and not be opened again. thanks for this!

  • lol u made a mousetrap out of a mouse trap, congratulations its stupid

  • CRAP! STUPID IDEA FROM A STUPID GUY!!

  • Sorry I didn't post them comments :/ I dunno who did :o

  • its a tube with a mouse trap on it basicly?

  • Good kid! Flair for mechanical engineering!

  • @hunting0327

Very cool, I would LOVE to see it in action if its possible. I mostly use a figure 4 trap outside to keep the rodents out of my house (I have a wood pile they like to breed in) but a humane way is always welcome.

  • @easypinkslips2006 well dumb dumb u take it to where u want the mouse and u lift the lid....... pretty obivious

  • I think this is great, now you can put our unwanted visitor in a field where he belongs. It would be fantastic if you had a capture on video. Keep inventing, you may be a millionaire someday! While your counting your money, others will be making stupid comments on line.

  • I'd rather masturbate.

  • I thought that this was creative and smart....and easy to DIY

  • @hmfoden thanks

  • @hunting0327 you should patent this, it's not likely that anything else would get caught in it, andthe mouse could be disposed of or released as desired, I would recommend that you hurry and copyright this before someone see's it and beats you to it, if you don't want to patent it, could I? If you let me, would you want me to give you credit?... wow, looked at me getting all worked up over as mouse trap... but srsly, reply back!

  • @StefyStuff YES you can patent it go make millions. i want 10% hahaha jk

  • @hunting0327 can you make a video demonstrating how to make it?

  • @hunting0327 im going to laugh if he ends up becoming rich.

  • @StefyStuff I'm not gonna lie, it is creative and smart... but why not just use a regular mouse trap. Better yet, they already invented electric shocking mouse traps or even non-killing traps.

This is smart, but you can't even copyright this because there are ones exactly the same, except using an actual mouse-trap. And no, even if theres one tiny difference, it can't be copyrighted lol.

Or I would've made money off my pill-bottle bongs, or ballistic pen shanks.

  • @StefyStuff Anyway's, thumbs up and nice vid!

  • @StefyStuff someone already made something like this.....but better

  • this is really cool

  • so simple even a caveman can make one

  • it's good, you should bait it on the outside and on the inside, that way the mouse has a chance of humane capture of death.

  • very cool...use peanut butter as the bait they have to pull on it more and that will increase the amt of tension the mice will use to set off the trap.

  • i like it bro

  • i like it

  • I made myself a humane trap out of things I found in the shed, too bad the wires on the holes were too wide, but it'd work on catching wild rabbits since it's big enough. No need to catch any rabbits though, and I'm just happy feeding my wild rats everyday.

  • like your moma

  • its a good idea , but you need to work on reducing the mechanisim rather then adding to an exsisting trap device :) good work though

  • its a cheap fun somthing to do ?

and humane i mean u could just make it for fun

and not even trap rats/mice in it u could have it explode !!

  • i cant realy see how it sets off

  • Or u can take off the moyse trap for a real one

  • Cool, this is like building a pistol with a gun attachment...

  • why would it go in ? why would it then pull a string ?

  • which ill bait with some type of ... bait

best line of the year, with a line

  • you talk funny

  • wow so the main part of your mouse trap is a mouse trap i dont think thats very clever

  • is the door spring loaded mate as i can tell you they will be able to lift it with their head and squeeze out ,you could simply do this by putting an elastic band @ the can where the door is and a small pin or flap holding the elastic band to the door, believe a 40mm circ band would do it

  • what the fuck how dose the mouse set it off thats gay

  • why not just tie the bait string directly to the lid instead of using the mouse trap

  • i use normal traps, instead of cheese i put c4 ,it works good

  • how does the mouse go into the can when it is stuck outside

  • Very nice. I like the idea of taking a mouse trap that kills the mouse and turning it into a humane trap. This is kind of like how a bear trap works.

  • or you could just use the mouse trap on top and save some time with out saving the mouse.

  • dude, ur a genius. well done! unless you copied someone's idea

  • McGyver Lives...

  • I love that he built it out of a perfectly good working mouse trap

  • then mouse rolls can on side, door slides out and mouse escapes....mouse trap fail, get a snake

  • can you make a tutorial?

  • try and get a mouse out of it now lol

  • kill mouse with that thing

  • i actualy like the idea its a more humane way and it dosnt have a chance ov the mose just nibling at the chease i like this idea you get a thumbs up

  • Very clever design, but the mouse trap on top has a yellow scented bait in it, so you might attract a mouse to the wrong place. Try a trap without the yellow plastic bait and it will work better.

  • this week in, pimp my mousetrap!

  • Nice! F yeah! When are you posting the DIY video?

  • I just bought some D-Con.

This seemed like too much work. For me and the mouse.

  • Wouldn't it just be easier to buy one of those live mouse box traps that doesn't need another mouse trap ? This is more like a Rube Goldberg machine.

  • @UpcomingJedi true but its just something you can play around with and have fun with!

  • @hunting0327 your an ass hole why would you play with that go play with your own

  • @UpcomingJedi Yes, it may be easier, but much more expensive. One of those live traps run around $20, and the trap you see attached is maybe $1.

  • @UpcomingJedi your dumb dude this is a sweet mouse trap

  • @welovehermits HA HA HA HA HA !!!!

  • cut the can about half the length of the mouse, sharpen the lid door like a razor, then spring load the door... BANG !! 2 piece mouse

  • Nice, then you can put in some Pringles potato chips later.

  • but does it blend?

  • So the main part of your mouse trap is a mouse trap?

  • @shaftwood in a way yes

  • good its live bless you but still you kno bro the top of the can is sharp so it can harm.

  • hi! nice one please can you show me how to do it, i realy need one!!! thanks!!!

  • This won't work at all, if the mouse goes inside, how would it go for the cheese?

  • show us

  • That's nice but does it kill the little fuck or not. Death must be certain as there will be no more returns.

  • osum

  • show how to

  • CARTMAN??!?!?!?!

  • PLEASE SHOW US!!!!!!

  • So did you catch any rodents with it?

  • @agonizethis i've caught one i cant remember if it took 4 or 5 days!

  • Very clever. I can't believe there are people who don't understand how it works! You explained it very clearly :-) thanks for the idea!

  • people are stupid...he says clearly there is a string on the inside CONNECTED TO THE PADDLE! he just cant get his hand inside the can to pull it. so he tried to demonstrate it to a bunch of idiots by simply pushing the paddle. maybe he should have spelled it out in one syllable words for you :/ props to those in the comments who can understand plain english, lol.

  • hang on the make the lid go down the rat has to go on top of the mouse trap in order for the lid to go down fail outsmarted by a 12 year old

  • @funkymonkey0071 no no the mouse goes inside the tube and and pulls on a string which is connected to the yellow part of the mousetrap.... the string will have bait on it when the mouse/rat pulls on it it sets off the trap therefore closing the door!

  • @hunting0327 but the string is on top

  • @funkymonkey0071 Wow, I guess you can't follow the instructions he laid out in the video... looks like you are the fail now you idiot. O snap.

  • @ManfromNetherlands fuck you you are so fucking dumb took 1 look u can see

  • @funkymonkey0071 ow look another redneck that dosnt have a hischool edjacatshion because he could never and still cant fallow darections.

  • @JonOMec WTF learn to spell

  • @funkymonkey0071 its my keyboard it dosnt respond somtimes

  • @JonOMec ok....

  • no kill = useless

  • Hey I give this five stars bcause it is so kool and I would really like to know how to make it so if u can will u make a tutorial video asap thank u and great vid

  • I have two quick questions about the mousetrap: What materials are used? And how the door is to really keep it, because the mouse for it not push the door and from the trap? Thank you answer me as soon !!!!! ;) Ciao

  • clever

  • Is the mouse supposed to be on the outside of the trap as well? lol the mouse is on the inside and the triggers on the outside.

  • @Jafarmarar the mouse trap is the trigger and the mouse will pull the sting which is connected to the yellow trigger when the mouse does that the trap door closes trapping the mouse inside? hope that answered it

  • @hunting0327 Why would the mouse even go inside... why would the mouse pull the sting? and how would the mouse pull the string from the inside?

    I'm really confused.

  • yes fogell

  • that's pretty awesome! although i have sooo many mice, it's just easier to kill em. but definitely one of the coolest no kill ways i've ever seen.

  • @Tarzan07330 Thanks
