Cancer institute has an interesting map of radiation in U.S., I would think twice should be enough too. and from what I understand the fallout from Chernobyl went to the ice. with the heatwave and fires in Russia, well. we do know the snow is what was keeping the radiation down.

Dissolved CO2 makes acid.
By 2100, at current rates of increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, average ocean pH will drop 0.3 - 0.4 and be @ 7.8 with an increase in acidic H+ ion concentration of 150-200%.
That will cause a 50% DECREASE of ocean carbonate ions (CO3).
Carbonate ions are needed for growth by plankton & corals at the base of the ocean's food chain.

And in this case the amout of corn it takes to make 20 gallons of Corn Biofuel could have ferd 100 people for a year besides costing 5 gallons of oil for each gallon of Biofuel

If have it in a no drill zone you don't count it as being drilliable oil reserve for the world to have or use. Off the East and West coast of the USA there is 2 or 3 times the all World oil reserves as of now. We just will not drill it !

I have done some research and you may be right that there are big reserves, although the amount of extractable oil is almost certainly much smaller than the Saudi reserves. However, the reason why Nevada has not been exploited until now has much more to do with the geology and cost of extraction than with environmental campaigns.
