I love this I am going to give this a try myself. Also pure ceramic flat irons work wonders on your hair thats the type I use. My hair also stays straighter longer when I use these because the ceramic seals the hair as it straightens.

Girl, my hair was looking like that also before I washed and blow dried...lol The dryer is a Red Ionic dryer, cost about $40 and works very well. It has 4 different heat settings also...

Your hair is beautiful. I only flat iron 3-4x a year also. I hate doing it because I know it means I can't wash my hair for a week. I barely make it past 4 days and it's puffed out and smelly. ICK! I see no one one wants a Maxiglide these days. I plan on getting one in December.

Thanks lady... after about 10 wks post my flat irons only last like 4 days also...lol after I did this vid it lasted 3 days, then my roots were puffy again...lol complete waste of time...

Hello! If you only flat iron your hair 4 times a year, then how do you wear your hair the majority of the year? I'm newly back to a relaxer and I find myself flat ironing every time I wash my hair.

If I want my hair straight, I'll rollerset and flat iron or blow out the roots. If I'm wearing it curly I'll do a braid out or twist out... HTH

Nope, not at all... I make sure to de-tangle well in the shower so it pretty much glides right through.

Your hair looks fantastic. You got the roots sooooooo straight. I'm very impressed. I've heard great things about the FHI Runway although it is pretty pricey. I currently have a Maxiglide which works well but I take the teeth out and use just the flat plates. Can't wait to see your length check updates. Your hair looks LONG!!!

Thanks! the Sedu definitely gets my hair straight but it doesn't get it as shiney as it used to. The FHI irons are really pricey, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the money or not

solia,fhi and herstyler are very good flatirons. I own a sedu and solia. I think that my solia works better than my sedu.

i loved the tutorial! ive been looking at the fhi platform for a while also!! right now i have an amika styler. its good but it seems like it fries my hair. i find that each time i use it, i need a trim. i only go over each piece once and it fries my ends so bad that i have to trim like 1/4 inch! i paid $100 for it and i cant even bring it back! :(

You can't take it back? that sucks...Is that like that Instyler? I don't think I've heard of the Amika styler... I know a couple of ppl recommended the Instyler and a few the FHI Platform... I don't know if I want to shell out that money though :-/
