You can smooth the audio as well. The clips and peaks are rather annoying and could've been solved by a bit of clever tinkering.

I've done similar things to Cirque du Soliel's "Cerceaux" while modifying it for performance reasons.

Of course, I don't understand the appeal of "chipmunking" popular songs. It rather ruins them, imo.

It's perfectly legit to chipmunk a song--but this is a video. You're supposed to be playing with images as much as with the music, and just having one image on the screen for the whole song gets dull about thirty seconds into it.
