@HyperactiveRabbit Bubbles gets steam boots because he doesn't need the speed from a faster boot (like Ghost Marchers) because of the movement abilities you get from Shell Surf and (after you buy one) Portal Key. He benefits much more from the switchable stats. +10 STR is an extra 140hp, or +10 int gives him +10 damage and a bigger mana pool for casting. The attack speed bonus isn't bad either, as he does decent damage with his autoattacks (although not carry-level, of course)
