In 2009, supposedly chevy has nothing up front, Ford has supposedly the best... yet ram has 5 star driver/psasenger, and silverado has 5 star driver/passenger, toyota tundra has 4 star driver/passenger and Ford f150 has 5 star driver/passenger. Today's overall front ratings (2011 results): Silverado - 5 star, F150 - 4 star, Ram 1500 - 2 star, Tundra - 4 star. This video is BS.
@kemorc Which isn't saying much. Coming from the EMS side of crash ratings it does nothing but offer guarantee survival to discarge at best at those speeds. I don't favor any vehicle because of the crash ratings, I favor them on personal interactions with my patients

I have grown up with mostly gm cars and i have a 94 silverado of my own. it is a great truck. And to clear things up, by no means do i hate ford. i am an american. but what this guy is saying must be true because none of the other companies have come back to dispute why their truck is better than ford. they seem to only compare themselves to earlier models of their own truck...

I'm baffled that the Silverado also has a 5-Star front impact crash rating like the F-150. This is especially surprising given that at that point of the test crash, the Silverado has a vinyl bumper and nothing else. Still, this was one reason among many that I swithed from Silverado to F-150 and have no regrets about doing this whatsoever. My 2010 F-150 has a more solid feel to it and more precise and nimble handling because of this compared to the Silverado.
That's how Chevy has been doing it for a long, long time. They really didn't go with an "all new" truck in 2007, but re-freshed junk from the 1990s. Yes, all new interior and exterior body panels but old thinking throughout. Moreover, indisputable proof that Ford makes a better overall product. Speaking of safety ,the front ends are built of thin sheetmetal ,how strong is that??? Secondly,the front bumpers are paper thin sheetmetal and plastic,why not build it with a double steel core bumper with absorboing shocks built in if you want to make it strong and truly safer as they did on those older Chevrolet Monte Carlos.those were engineered for strength and served its purpose.....
