That you are right, but luckily for me I'm an average American living in Canada. I have been looking for a car to convert into an EV for a few months now, and I may have found it. Once I get it, I'll start work on it, and after about $25k invested I should have my own EV. Granted it could be done for about $16k but the cool factor of the car is looking to cost about $15k+ On the plus side, I'll not have to worry about how many of our troops had to die to fill my gas tank.

Tire Pressure vs. fuel usage, is not thoery, it is fact. Look it up. May places use it (such as racing where every drop of fuel can mean more laps without a pitstop). Do you even have any functional understanding of how the oil industry works? It will be 5 years before a new project even starts getting any appreciable oil onto the market, 10 years until it gets to full draw.
If they had federally mandated tire pressure checks we could save more oil than is in both ANWR and accessible offshore fields by the time either could fully come online. Do some research ffs.

That you are right, but luckily for me I'm an average American living in Canada. I have been looking for a car to convert into an EV for a few months now, and I may have found it. Once I get it, I'll start work on it, and after about $25k invested I should have my own EV. Granted it could be done for about $16k but the cool factor of the car is looking to cost about $15k+ On the plus side, I'll not have to worry about how many of our troops had to die to fill my gas tank.

Wind, solar, electric cars and fuel cell cars have all hit a technological road block 30 years ago. Technology in many ways has improved incredibly, but not in these areas. You cannot legislate new energy technology if it doesn't exist. The market makes things exist. If Japan or Germany could invent this stuff, it would have already been done. We're not there yet.

Tire Pressure vs. fuel usage, is not thoery, it is fact. Look it up. May places use it (such as racing where every drop of fuel can mean more laps without a pitstop). I'd rather have the oil companies put those record profits to use on some alternative fuel source. Suck it up you pansies and don't give into Bush, Cheney, Mcbush, Baby-Gate Palin, and oil companies. I'm an American, and I don't buy it that the oil companies need that land to drill on to save us money on gas. That's BS people. I did not get the poll results from Keith Olberman. As a matter of fact. I hardly even watch American news. It's all slanted one way. I look at the national tracking polls on the internet. The national tracking polls have Obama up by an average of 6%. Gallup has him up 8% as of the 29th.

Obama also hangs with Louis Farrakhan, who hangs with Moamar Khaddafi, so your denial of Obama's terrorist associations is hopeless. The Reverend Wright stuff alone should cost him the election, which will probably be used effectively in TV ads in late October, just wait. Then the Wilder effect means Obama needs a 10-15% lead in the polls to actually win the election.

The only things that kept McCain from getting kicked out of the Academy was his father (retired Admiral), grandfather (retired Admiral) and a war that needed a LOT of warm bodies. And as for drilling for oil here, it's a LONG process from saying we might want to drill here until it's coming out of a hose at a fuel station. If I would have taken over the family drilling business I would be a 3rd generation (skipped a gen.) well driller too. It takes YEARS in most of the cases being argued.

You must not be a car guy. If you were, you would know that since the advent of fuel injection, most cars since the mid-1980's don't need tune ups. Next, he made the mistake of saying tune ups and inflated tires would "save probably as much as you would gain by drilling," which is absurd. Next, you didn't spell "proved" correctly. Next, McCain made Obama look bad at the Saddleback church debates, which was their first unofficial debate. A guy asked and Obama slipped off his talking points.
