  • Dude. The last bit is the only bit I can't do it, so it doesn't help

  • if u put a tutorial video then explain each step ffs... it is easy for you to turn the cube but that doesnt mean a shit to us who watch the video because we cant understand a s... out from it

  • mooi idea =)

  • Assuming for tutorials = no bueno

Great vid for learning the first 2 layers.

  • instead of saying the algorithms just say that you need to be able to solve the usual 3x3.

  • with the second layer, instead of taking the chunky piece out and putting it back in with the normal algorithm, you can just do R U' R 2U F 2R F' 2U 2R with the chunky piece in the middle right of the front layer

  • it's pretty easy.... i just took some hints from you and i learned to solve the mirror myself, cause it's the same deal as the normal 3x3x3....

  • Anyone know how to take this apart? I'd like to lube it up.

  • @Martyj2009 you don't have to! just turn the little layer x2 and put vaseline/spray silicone/jig-a-loo/or whatever lubricant you use! hope i helped! ;)

  • stop comparing it to the other one! its to confusing! and you tell us to do something then contradict yourself! ughhh

  • is there any way to lubricate a bump cube?

  • My brain hurts.

  • seeing the similarities there?.. good

    haha

thanks for the tutorial. i am getting my block cube in a week and i got two for $7!

  • el otro dia me compre un cubo como ese y sin saber como hacerlo, lo logre acabar en 10 minutos. Me quede sorprendido porque creia que era mas dificil. jeje

  • so many sex jokes =D

  • you solve the rubiks mirror just

like you solve a normal rubik's cube :)

  • cooooooooooooolll

  • What was the last Method called again?

  • Why can't u explain the last step?!?! That's the freaking part I'm stuck on and no one explains it good uhhhhggg!

  • @Duhcamille because it would take another 20 minutes to explain

  • @willdabeast6 well you can make a part two on the video just for the last step..

  • MirrorBlocks FTW!!!

  • Lol F U HAHAH!

  • I cant really get the last part can you help me with that?

  • *smells the dan brown method*

  • me 2

  • So it's basically just like a 3x3x3 right? i know it's harder but just the concept

  • yup same concept as a 3x3

  • where did u buy this ?

  • not sure i got it as a christmas present. just google it :)

  • "chunky edge" lol!!!!

  • I'm stuck on the last layer even though I can solve a normal 3x3x3. Fun cube =)

  • How have you learned this?

  • i knew it was the same as a 3x3 so it wasnt too hard

  • can't believe I made it, thanks for your tutorial ~

  • hurrmm there were many video to solve bump cube but there were no fomula.. finally I've found that formula in u'rs video.. thanks

  • Comment removed

  • can u solve it with the 3x3x3 beginner's method?

  • yes

  • that is the beginner method

  • it's the same thing to solve a 3x3x3

  • yes

  • i gues u can solve it like a normal 3x3?

  • yep

  • Man ! U sound like criss angel !! (magician)

  • dide, i heard that it's impossible to solve it in under 20 seconds. is that even true?

  • it could be if you have a better method and you practice a LOTTTTTT.

  • hey, can i just use the basic method of 3x3 to solve this mirror cube???

  • yes

  • damn its too hard for me, i never solved a standard 3x3, but i bought this one

  • it's pretty much a 3x3 but u have to solve the shape, fun. that's going on my christmas list!

  • i can solve a 3x3 in 2 mins but how did u know the algerithems to solve it in less time and i didnt get the bit where you have to make the standing up bit on the 3rd layer to go flat... please help...

  • thats called OLL but I used the shortened version. there are tons of tutorials on 2 look OLL (the short way). then getting the pieces arranged right is PLL and there are tutorials for that too. learn it on the 3x3 so you can use it on the bump cube.

  • 4:17 arent you using too complex a step?

  • maybe but thats how I would move the piece

  • sry, nm. i was thinking of another algorithm.

  • da puzzles cool

  • Sorry man, this sucked...Didn't understand a shit when you came to OLL...

  • Great video!! Thank you very much!!

  • i dun understand on the last step

how do i go bout doin that?

  • the last step is called a PLL or permutation of the last layer. there are 21 of those that I didn't have time to teach and people usually know them if they can solve a 3x3.

  • u voice so little===

  • good review!!

I can solve a regular 3x3 with the layer method, so I can solve one of these right?

  • yes, the mirror blocks are the exact same thing as a 3x3 so the same methods will work.

  • well i been doing the rubiks cube for about 2 years now and i do it different from the video and wondering if it will still work my way???.... i solve the top then the corners on the last layer..

  • yes it will work because the mechanism is exactly the same. as long as you know what you're doing, you should be fine

  • thanks.... and great vid.... :)

  • thank YOU ;)

  • great tutorial. are u lefty

  • no but for some reason my left hand works better for cubing

  • haha it just looks like it by the way u insert edges and stuff

  • it's like a 3x3x3 till the moment of getting the last cross

the algorithm F-R-U-R'-U'-F" does not make the cross

    ANY HELP??

  • that works if its an L in the top left corner

  • I know! I do the F-R-U... algorithm with the l on the corner but it does not work

the problem is the absence of color to see if I'm on the right path

should I do the same algorithms that a 3x3x3, in the same order even though it looks weird?

    thanks for answering

  • oh oops. sorry mah bad. its F U R U' R' F' that works with the L in the top left. F R U is for the horizontal bar.

  • some pcs are in the right place but are flipped. what do i do?

  • how do u get the cross & could show me where you get the pll algorthims??

  • the cross on the top or bottom? and the plls can be found on most cubing sites

  • the top.

  • Comment removed

  • so this just solves the same as a 3x3?

  • yep

  • On wich site can you buy it?

  • theres a shop on ebay where you can get it

  • Ok, but what's the name of the shop?

    Or the advertisement?

  • it comes frm china.

  • Ya open it on up and squirt it in....

    nice XD

  • yup thats what you do...

  • When i get to the last layer, i get the cross, but 2 of the sides match and 2 dont match. what do I do to fix that?

  • is everything flat on top?

  • yeah it's all the matching peices, just in the wrong spots.

  • figure out which pieces need to go where then use a PLL to solve it

  • @willdabeast6 hello thanks for ur explanation no the solving

but i am stuck on the last layer i can get the cross but is very very hard to make them all flat as u said sometime i need to do the alg 20 times ....i can't seem to find a su of anti su is hard without color like the normal cube...can u plz elabrate on how to do the last layer after getting a cross plz ?

    thank you so much :)

  • @willdabeast6 hello thanks for ur explanation no the solving

    thank you so much :)

  • how do i lube it?

  • make an opening between some of the pieces and squirt some lube in

  • thx after the first few seconds u said use beginner method i tried and i solved it . u woke magic in this few secs also!

  • you're great!

  • I have a question, so basically I can solve the Mirror Cube in beginner method right? cause this is thing driving me crazy lol.

  • yes, you can solve it with what ever method you want because it's exactly the same as a 3x3. the beginner method is just the easiest

  • oh okay, cool man.thank you so much! =]

  • not a problem :]

  • Thanks! i love you!

  • Nice tutorial man, i know how to solve it(like a 3x3 apparently) but i still haven`t tried!

P.S the video limit is 10:50 not 10:00

Know that for your next long videos :)

  • so lie the method for a 3x3x3 is kind of the sam as the bump cube?

  • use a keyhole method for the second layer, faster.

  • you didnt do good tutorial on skewb ultimate but you done very great here..

  • from what I can see my tutorials are hit or miss haha

  • ur tutorial still the best..we and u dont that..keep sharing solving skills..

  • ok I will

  • do u lubricate ur mirror blocks???

  • nice tutorial .

  • what type of 3x3 rubik's cube is that

  • a rubik's mirror blocks

  • lol go to japan, i got mine there yesterday, solved it in 14 minutes. (: ofcourse its the first solve but yeah, or you can find it on auctions such as amazon or ebay. Something like that. Fun cube

  • where i can buy this

  • ok please tell me where you got that

  • ebay I think. I'm not sure I got it for christmas

  • so the mirror blocks is just a rubiks cube?

  • pretty much, just that you have to get it to a cube shape instead of matching all the colors like a rubik's cube

  • where can i buy it in singapore lol?

  • can you access ebay in singapore? there's some ebay person that had a bunch in stock when I first heard these were being sold

  • Here in Hong Kong they sell them... you can order by eBay here too...

  • this is probably the first tutorial ive seen for the bump cube :o once i figured out it was a 3x3 i was kinda bummed, i shouldve just made it myself :D

  • I use lars method to complete 3x3. Can I apply it to this cube?

IE: Can you use normal 3x3 techniques?(presumably with some variation because it's hard to know which side is which)

  • yes you can because it is the same as a 3x3. as long as you know what you're doing. the reason i do layer by layer in the video is because thats the easiest way to keep track of the pieces for me

  • You can buy these cubes on ThinkGeek now for only $20! Just go to their site and search for "Mirror Blocks"

  • ^ true, i bought it. im figuring it out right now lol

  • your cube sounds really creaky, you should lube it, it doesn't help speed much, but it makes moving it a little easier.

  • I did lube it after I made this video

  • how did you lube it? same way as a 3x3?

  • it will be much much more easier with coloured sticker

  • that would take away the whole challenge then. it would be just like a normal 3x3.

  • holy shit....i can't even solve the 3x3...lol. im almost there though :D w00t w00t

  • Wanna try something fun? Do it Blindfolded, but without memorization, only touching and feeling the pieces. Do a video, post your time (my average is 4 minutes, layer by layer method, have to try F2L though)

  • that would be tricky lol. maybe after lots of practice

  • Thanks so much!

I've been trying to find F2L pairs and I ended up giving up after a while.

I guess beginner method is the way to go on the mirror cube.

I bought mine from eBay, shipping is expensive.

  • that is so awsome i want one, did you order it or bought at a local store?

  • I agree. Where can I find one?

  • I got it for christmas but I think there are a whole bunch on ebay
