u are all goin about this the hard way theres a generator in the bottom of the first structure that powers the shield that is around the pillar its very easy to destroy then you can take out the pillar without havin an extreme shield or heavy ordnance
Yeah, it's right in front of you after you drop in. Just make your way over there, peck around until you find an area w/ a targeting recticle laid over it(and not just a Normal), fire when the recticle lights up red(it may take more than one shot depending on the weapon), then OB your way to the cannon, and the HDPA should be down.
nice video man! btw if anyone wants a tip for this mission just fly straight in, ignore all enemies and hit the thing (in the same position as he did with the wing cannons) point blank with laser blades. works like a charm!

I just got this game a few days ago, played through most of the missions and beat the campaign, dicked around with my mech, and then went online.
BOY WAS I DISAPPOINTED. I found one match. a battleroyal, and everyone says they're going to gang up on me because I don't have a mic.
Well I killed two out of the 4 other guys there. Then I got kicked for using guns. No joke, the only assholes playing this game and they insist on a stupid rule like that.
i like the rifles u use and well i have better boosters than that and i own everything with the grenade back cannon,i pretty much own everything with my ac schematics
The wings are good close range because they hit all 3 at once. If you look closely and you hit far away targets, you only hit them a few times but if you hit them close all 6 laser hits. Total of around.... 16k dmg. 10k against opponents.
easy mission. all you have to do is equip dual moonlights and at the side your facing when you start land at the part inbetween the shef things and the cannon part and hit the middle.instant kill.also if you go behind the base thing there is a dome thing and if you blow it up the primal armor is gone

I'm playing the Japanese PS3 version don't forget and they're not the best parts either, as lot of them you get at the beginning of the game. Plus I'm only in the field for 12 seconds and my PA lasts jsut long enough to destroy it.

This is actually the easiest mission to beat on hard. Take the Moonlight, or Dragonslayer. (Thats all) Put on the lightest, and equip the best Booster. Hover left and right to dodge the Beams. Once you enter the Barrier. SLASH 1 time. Quick Boost out, and hide under the North East (From your beginning direction) behind the lower cliff like area. Once it explodes, Done. Btw. I REALLY like your Mech design in this one. Its very mobile for those Secondary Weapons.
i remember destroying the cannon and i put the controller down, cuz i thought the mission was over. when i heard the part about the energy spike i was confused, and when the operator said that the cannon was about to explode, i scrambled for the controller and i used the OB to escape, and i just BARELY escaped the explosion. xD
One other thing, yes the Xbox360 is powerful but huh PS3 overheats? UH did I miss a point where the Xbox 360 got to freakin hot on its heatsink to the point it could frie and burn an egg in a few seconds? well with the PS3 it hasnt overheated or its heatsink isnt that hot ffs. Plus PS3 wins with its HDD size since you can buy a 20-40gb an buy a 500gb 2.5in notebook HDD and well use it as the PS3's HDD, the Xbox360 cant do that since it has its well own designed HDD :P
I gotta admit that this mission was pretty damn easy on Hard. I finished it in less than twenty seconds with dual moonlight and my favorite reverse joint with fastest boosters.
WOW! awsome all it takes is the back grenade and a moonlight to complete this mission! don't need no "omer" cannons! All you need to do is jump ontop of the part that is holding the energy cylinders and swipe, done. Less than a minute
Well, I S Ranked both the 360 and the PS3 versions in their entirety. Swords on the Pillar of Ray mission aren't very useful as you have to target a very small point, otherwise the structure doesn't take damage.

I skipped this freakin' mission because I'd destroy those small turrets and blast the living heck out of the core or whatever it was and it wouldn't blow... I tried the level several times and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, so I just gave up lol. It was frustrating. I S ranked every other mission though on hard... I didn't feel like going back to fix that one.
congrats, you're one of the few who actually PLAY a mission, most people just rush to objective, and bam, we all can complete this mission in less than a minute , but I admire you for actually killing non objective enemies
i agress with gambler, grenade launchers do keep you in the air and dont suck your energy dry, but if you want to rip apart pa at an alarming rate, try dual sirius cannons, they cause more ap piercing, and they use less energy, the only bad thing is they are heavier than the wing cannons, take the advice at your own risk.
If you like this then you should watch armored core final war which has the 28 weeks theme song and then watch armored core final war special edition which has diferent music and armored core nexus in it
Yep. Im in Ontario and i own the English version, Armored Core 4. It's fun as hell. Customizing your mech to your liking is so awesome. Ive seen pictures of people who recreate Gundams, Evangelions and all other things from anime (provided you watch or just even know about it). I've made a Gundam Deathscythe in the game too...or likeness of it :P Very enjoyable game. Id give it a 9/10. The only bad part is that some missions are short...like really short, provided you know what to do.

well aside from blade matches the blades kinda suck and are usually used only for backup weapons. Though I do use a moonlight or long blade on my online design it is only used to line up my YAMAGA grenade launcher that is opposite the blade
I like my dual Yamagas. Dual Ogotos are nice too, but Yamagas are so good when you hit right on. In fact, that's one easy way to beat the missions in this game: Grenade Launchers. It's rediculous how easy some missions are with these things.
I got those wings but they have one hell of a draw back...they suck alot of EN out...compared to Grenade launchers where you can keep flying and shooting for hours... Online it can cause alot of trouble. I don't see many other people using it online
No. The back wing cannons are actualy pretty useless in my opinion. And I tried to beat Supplice with an AC with duel wing cannons, but I couldn't, and yet I own him in 11 seconds (yes 11 SECONDS on Virtual Space A) with duel moonlights.
The arm lasers alone can kill the average ac in two shots (or one duel shot) if you let the kojima charge fully (when it turns a brighter shade of green and all the electrical stuff starts flying aorund)

This is the kind of greater realism they could've started introducing with Nexus, years ago, fuck. Fucking holding out in order to sell you yet another playstation and another sequel $600 scam.
It's easy to dodge high speed fire because the fcs system they use forces the lock system to freeze a couple the weapon's rps, you can dodge it just like you dodge missiles: feint one way; dash in the other. It IS a lot harder to do than missiles since a tiny mistake leaves you vulnerable. Not sure how recoil works in AC4, but in Nexus if you got hit by a high speed round you were pretty much done for, cause they'd swarm you while you were recovering from recoil and take you out
i think an easier way to beat this is to use '07-Moonlight Laser Blades' on each arm..You hit the core of the ehrenberg with both of them simultaneously and in one try it takes the ehrenberg out, (on both normal and hard)..this can be done fast enough to where you can bypass all the guns surrounding the ehrenberg
Depends on the mission. Some hard missions just add more waves of enemies, while other hard missions have you clear the same objectives as normal but then add a Next at the end or other things like that.
beat that mission where its like four Ac's against you and that Rosenthal guy. Except you have to do it on hard, so it's you versus four of them. Use two high laser cannons, it'll help.
proably gonna sound like a noob but i'm stuck on this level i use a grenade launcher, and another on my left arm. i wait till it the target goes red on the pillar and shot at least 15 times and nothing happens, help plz. ohh and if it matters it's called pillar of light in the xbox version just something i noticed
Everything comes down to programming really. With just about EVERYTHING that's not first party being released cross-platform, developers are going to program the game at a level that both platforms are capable of running comfortably. USUALLY the only difference you'll see between the different versions is involving resolutions. Obviously there are some exceptions to this... but from what I've seen, AC is not one of them.
Isnt Strike Freedom like 10 times more powerful than Wing because of all those beam cannons and rifles? Or is Wing Zero more powerful? I dont even remember anymore...
get this marvel ultimate alliance isn't really worth beat it in 2 days, and the graphics aren't really something to scream over either. but it's up to you
It's already happened a couple times and the Xbox players beat the PS. I know IGN did a few games like BF2 and Madden but either way. The console with the stronger online community wins because the best keep getting better when they're going against each other and a lot of other people with new tactics...

360, since Sony's new product is stupidly expensive, overheats quickly, and has the same shoddy optical drive problems as all of their Playstation line of products have had.
360 breaks easier, hav eyou ever heard of the "RING OF DEATH" happens all the time with 360 owners and also the 360 turns off the whole game when it cant read this small part in the CD so its very homo.
Although the 360 is cheaper, the graphics seem to be the same the only reason why the PS3 is so expensive is because it uses a completley new technology known as blue ray it's a different kind of hard drive while the 360 uses a regular drive it's cheaper. And the 360 games tend to have more brightness but the PS3 has much more texture or detail. you can just google it

You get them by beating Marche Au Supplice on hard mode. One of the hardest missions for an OK-ish weapon. Lol that made me mad.

I agree, EC-0307AB is only good on Reg 1.00, but after that, it lost most of it power. Too much power drain when competing against skilled players.

That wasn't on hard. The kojima energy was draining his Primal Armor (PA) to slow and the cannons to basically doing jack shit.

It was on Hard as the rate of fire is much higher and the PA does reduce quicker, I just killed the target before I could get harmed.

You must be very bad at the game then. You have to wait until you get a red lock-on otherwise you won't damage the structure at all.

I tought that with swords the pilar would be eliminated soon, but ...

Well, I S Ranked both the 360 and the PS3 versions in their entirety. Swords on the Pillar of Ray mission aren't very useful as you have to target a very small point, otherwise the structure doesn't take damage.

I skipped this freakin' mission because I'd destroy those small turrets and blast the living heck out of the core or whatever it was and it wouldn't blow... I tried the level several times and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, so I just gave up lol. It was frustrating. I S ranked every other mission though on hard... I didn't feel like going back to fix that one.

congrats, you're one of the few who actually PLAY a mission, most people just rush to objective, and bam, we all can complete this mission in less than a minute , but I admire you for actually killing non objective enemies

i agress with gambler, grenade launchers do keep you in the air and dont suck your energy dry, but if you want to rip apart pa at an alarming rate, try dual sirius cannons, they cause more ap piercing, and they use less energy, the only bad thing is they are heavier than the wing cannons, take the advice at your own risk.

Yep. Im in Ontario and i own the English version, Armored Core 4. It's fun as hell. Customizing your mech to your liking is so awesome. Ive seen pictures of people who recreate Gundams, Evangelions and all other things from anime (provided you watch or just even know about it). I've made a Gundam Deathscythe in the game too...or likeness of it :P Very enjoyable game. Id give it a 9/10. The only bad part is that some missions are short...like really short, provided you know what to do.

well aside from blade matches the blades kinda suck and are usually used only for backup weapons. Though I do use a moonlight or long blade on my online design it is only used to line up my YAMAGA grenade launcher that is opposite the blade

i keep the lighter grenade launcher just for more ammo, plus there aint that much difference in damage between yamaga and the "grenade cannon"

I like my dual Yamagas. Dual Ogotos are nice too, but Yamagas are so good when you hit right on. In fact, that's one easy way to beat the missions in this game: Grenade Launchers. It's rediculous how easy some missions are with these things.

I got those wings but they have one hell of a draw back...they suck alot of EN out...compared to Grenade launchers where you can keep flying and shooting for hours... Online it can cause alot of trouble. I don't see many other people using it online

No. The back wing cannons are actualy pretty useless in my opinion. And I tried to beat Supplice with an AC with duel wing cannons, but I couldn't, and yet I own him in 11 seconds (yes 11 SECONDS on Virtual Space A) with duel moonlights.

The arm lasers alone can kill the average ac in two shots (or one duel shot) if you let the kojima charge fully (when it turns a brighter shade of green and all the electrical stuff starts flying aorund)

Best way to kill the laser is to go to the little building near the begining and destroy the orb at the bottom for instant PA shut off

It's easy to dodge high speed fire because the fcs system they use forces the lock system to freeze a couple the weapon's rps, you can dodge it just like you dodge missiles: feint one way; dash in the other. It IS a lot harder to do than missiles since a tiny mistake leaves you vulnerable. Not sure how recoil works in AC4, but in Nexus if you got hit by a high speed round you were pretty much done for, cause they'd swarm you while you were recovering from recoil and take you out

i think an easier way to beat this is to use '07-Moonlight Laser Blades' on each arm..You hit the core of the ehrenberg with both of them simultaneously and in one try it takes the ehrenberg out, (on both normal and hard)..this can be done fast enough to where you can bypass all the guns surrounding the ehrenberg

Depends on the mission. Some hard missions just add more waves of enemies, while other hard missions have you clear the same objectives as normal but then add a Next at the end or other things like that.

beat that mission where its like four Ac's against you and that Rosenthal guy. Except you have to do it on hard, so it's you versus four of them. Use two high laser cannons, it'll help.

proably gonna sound like a noob but i'm stuck on this level i use a grenade launcher, and another on my left arm. i wait till it the target goes red on the pillar and shot at least 15 times and nothing happens, help plz. ohh and if it matters it's called pillar of light in the xbox version just something i noticed

Everything comes down to programming really. With just about EVERYTHING that's not first party being released cross-platform, developers are going to program the game at a level that both platforms are capable of running comfortably. USUALLY the only difference you'll see between the different versions is involving resolutions. Obviously there are some exceptions to this... but from what I've seen, AC is not one of them.

It's already happened a couple times and the Xbox players beat the PS. I know IGN did a few games like BF2 and Madden but either way. The console with the stronger online community wins because the best keep getting better when they're going against each other and a lot of other people with new tactics...

Although the 360 is cheaper, the graphics seem to be the same the only reason why the PS3 is so expensive is because it uses a completley new technology known as blue ray it's a different kind of hard drive while the 360 uses a regular drive it's cheaper. And the 360 games tend to have more brightness but the PS3 has much more texture or detail. you can just google it
