This was an awesome video. I grew up with pitbulls around the house and look, I'm still here! My last dog was a pit/boxer mix and she was the sweetest. I love all dogs and all animals but I really have a passion for APBTs because even though there is such a stigma attached to them, if you raise them correctly they are fun, loving and smart dogs. I try to ignore the ignorance.
I just adopted my 1st Pit 3 weeks ago. I have been around them off and on for years. They are by far the easiest dogs that I know of to train. I train using praise and affection and since Pits love attention it all works out real good. They are more than eager to please and think they are lap dogs, at least Toby does. He is black with a little white on him but when I saw him at the shelter I could see beyond his exterior and through his eyes saw a very loving dog. I don't regret adopting him.
Probably the cutest animal video (if the the cutest video overall) on youtube. I have to say I'm not a dog person (cats ftw) but if there is one I would tolerate it'd be either pits (because of their safety among humans) or those small rat-like whatstheirname that you can hide in a bag...
Either way, I think you should allow negative comments as well to this video. That way you can meet the ignorance and teach them something from reality.

any dog is only as good as those who train them. when pitbulls do have unhealthy aggressive tendencies its due to abuse inbreeding and negative training by humans. when my dad was around his friend had brought him a year old pitbull that the owner had abandoned in a condemned house my father nurse her back to health and trained her and she became loyal and happy and healthy. she only bit one person and thats what happens when u throw rocks at an otherwise friendly dog. i miss them both.

I started rooming with a guy from school about a year and half ago. He already had two pitbulls at the house and I was a firm believer in "punish the deed not the breed" but I have to admit I was a bit weary at first. These pits are 2 of the sweetest dogs on the planet. My roommate also has 2 small children and they these dogs are so good with them. It saddens and angers me that pits have such a bad reputation.
pits are what you make of them...i see them as baby's! theyre a best friend and a companion for its life...they are so misunderstood by majority of the population because the media only shows those that have the bad owners and were made to do bad deeds, but what about the 98%thats nothing but sweet? they never show those!! the media needs to show more of the good side of these lov-a-bulls!!
sad pitbull story. Our friends pit bull was in the front yard playing with the kids and just relaxing, when the neighbors lab comes running toward the kids baring his teeth and barking in anger. The pit simply took the lab to the ground to protect the kids, there was barely a scratch on the lab. The neighbor saw everything and the next day the pit bull was dead from rat poison found in little dog treats. This just goes to show that its the owner that affects the temperament of a dog.

In the time I have been volunteering at a local animal shelter, I have developed quite an affection for pit bulls. They are usually the smartest, funniest, and sweetest dogs I work with.
My best friend has 2 pits and they're crazy dogs!! All they wanna do is play. Very sweet (: And my german shepherd passed a week ago and he was the sweetest thing... :/ It really depends on how they were treated as pups. I think ALL dogs deserve a chance. I used to own a pitbull mix and he was a fun dog as well. I love all dogs(:

Banning Pit Bulls would be like banning cars because people get killed in car accidents! Who's responsible, the car or the driver/manufacturer? All dogs can be vicious when they have the WRONG owner, for instance there's a Shitzu dog living in my building and it always barks at people and tries to bite as well. It's owner's fault for not educating it.
I have never seen a German Shepard that dosnt give me those eyes like they will bite my throat out any second. Not saying they will I just get that feeling. BTW I have a pit in my family and he is the biggest baby and whines when I leave. He is friendly because I have treated him right and trained him to be obedient. He gets barked and snapped at by my 2 chiuauas all the time and looks at them like they are crazy. And he has never bit my niece, the chiuauas on the other hand....
the sad part is the pit bulls you hear about is because of their masters cant raise them correctly. i had one chasing me when i was younger and the dogs master yelled at it to stop and it stopped dead in its tracks. come to find out i got close to her babies

Pits are great dogs. I'm an Animal Control Officer and I know for a fact that the dog owners that abuse their animals, that teach them to fight and to kill are the real problems, not the dog. they are friendly family animals and are very loyal. Treat them well and they will give you love in return..thats the way it is with all breed of dogs...Great video!

pits are what you make of them...i see them as baby's! theyre a best friend and a companion for its life...they are so misunderstood by majority of the population because the media only shows those that have the bad owners and were made to do bad deeds, but what about the 98%thats nothing but sweet? they never show those!! the media needs to show more of the good side of these lov-a-bulls!!

sad pitbull story. Our friends pit bull was in the front yard playing with the kids and just relaxing, when the neighbors lab comes running toward the kids baring his teeth and barking in anger. The pit simply took the lab to the ground to protect the kids, there was barely a scratch on the lab. The neighbor saw everything and the next day the pit bull was dead from rat poison found in little dog treats. This just goes to show that its the owner that affects the temperament of a dog.

In the time I have been volunteering at a local animal shelter, I have developed quite an affection for pit bulls. They are usually the smartest, funniest, and sweetest dogs I work with.

My best friend has 2 pits and they're crazy dogs!! All they wanna do is play. Very sweet (: And my german shepherd passed a week ago and he was the sweetest thing... :/ It really depends on how they were treated as pups. I think ALL dogs deserve a chance. I used to own a pitbull mix and he was a fun dog as well. I love all dogs(:

Banning Pit Bulls would be like banning cars because people get killed in car accidents! Who's responsible, the car or the driver/manufacturer? Any car can be deadly in the wrong hands or if built with defective parts. Same thing with dogs... Any dog. Pit Bulls are no more responsible for the way they are bred, raised and trained, than cars are responsible for the way they are designed, built and driven.

This is a fantastic video and it brings tears to my eyes. We have 5 Pit Bulls within our immediate family and they are the most wonderful dogs I could ever ask for. I will never have any breed other than a Pit Bull ever again. They are the most reliable, friendly, and protective dogs out there. I feel so sorry for Pit Bulls, they are wonderful dogs! I met the most sweetest Pit Bull on earth, she's a mom but she's so obedient and very gentle. She always comes up to me and licks my hand.
All dogs can be vicious when they have the WRONG owner, for instance there's a Shitzu dog living in my building and it always barks at people and tries to bite as well. It's owner's fault for not educating it.
Same with Pit Bulls, they're wonderful :)

I have never seen a German Shepard that dosnt give me those eyes like they will bite my throat out any second. Not saying they will I just get that feeling. BTW I have a pit in my family and he is the biggest baby and whines when I leave. He is friendly because I have treated him right and trained him to be obedient. He gets barked and snapped at by my 2 chiuauas all the time and looks at them like they are crazy. And he has never bit my niece, the chiuauas on the other hand....

the sad part is the pit bulls you hear about is because of their masters cant raise them correctly. i had one chasing me when i was younger and the dogs master yelled at it to stop and it stopped dead in its tracks. come to find out i got close to her babies

The reason people use them for fighting is mainly their lock jaw and strength. Under all of that aggresion the people have taught them, they are gentle, soppy dogs.

Yes, fighting dogs can be rehabilitated but do not assume that game bred dogs are inherently dangerous--in fact they are the most human friendly; proper socialization is necessary; however, to deter dog aggression. The APBT is a strong willed animal and is a poor choice for a meek owner. Be gentle, but be firm and your APBT will be a true champion: the most loyal and dedicated canine ever; an ideal family pet.

My neighbor's pit bull is very obedient.

Pits are great dogs. I'm an Animal Control Officer and I know for a fact that the dog owners that abuse their animals, that teach them to fight and to kill are the real problems, not the dog. they are friendly family animals and are very loyal. Treat them well and they will give you love in return..thats the way it is with all breed of dogs...Great video!
