  • I love that you are doing a story on the girl's school. My family lived in the headmaster's house when I was in 4th grade. The school was an apartment house at the time.

  • Yes Atauloma was the sister school to Papauta in Upolu of the LMS church (EFKS). My grandmother was also a student at Papauta.

  • so was Atauloma school in Tutuila equivalent of Papauta Girls School in Upolu? sounds like it..both bibilical based and established by missionaries

  • My greatgrandmother was a teacher there LISE A'ASA (R.I.P.)... Reason why i loved this is because when growning up i would always wonder what that building was and what it was there for. I heard many stories; some true some not so true. To wathc this bring memories and my longing of wanting to go back home. THANKS USO!!!

  • In your sub titles you called the teacher she said MISS, however the Samoan Abriviation for Missionary is "Misi" So she was refering to a missionary rather than a title of a person.
