  • FUCK this sounds good, and I haven't even played this game.

  • Very good game.

  • Gostei dessa musica

  • This game was amazing and beautiful... The story was so incredibly wonderful. Though I must say that this IS a one time playthrough kind of game.. sadly :(

  • omg wata game

  • Hats off to Oscar Araujo, this soundtrack is amazing.

  • Game had one of my favorite sound tracks even withought remixes of the old games. Just brilliant regardless, majestic, beautiful.

  • i wish they would stop fucking around with the shit games and make more originals like this instead.

  • Michiru Yamane ..I miss you..and Igarashi Koji too~~ T_T

  • Settle down. I never played a Castlevania before this and I never will. This game on it's own, was an amazing adventure and I think you need to accept change. Especially since it seemed to change for the better.

  • @jmbenning

How can you tell it's "for the better" compared against past titles if you've "never played a Castlevania game before this and never will"?

    Just saying.

  • @BoltFraction I said it "seemed to change for the better" didnt I? I can agree with what you are saying, so I was curious and looked it up. The only other Castlevania that sold better (and marginally) than Lords of Shadow was a nintendo64 original. I just think people can go to embrace change.

  • @jmbenning I reallt REALLY love Castlevania:Lords of Shadow...I didn't complete it yet I'm on chapter 5..but really..the amount of charm and beauty in this game is sooo wonderful, the voice acting is soo brilliant..the story is soo engaging...and the scenery..?...I don't have words...sometimes I stand still for 1/2 an hour just to adore the beauty of the fine richly created environments..this game brings back the feeling..of the old days of gaming....when gaming was fun at heart and not bullshit.

  • @jmbenning I really REALLY love Castlevania:Lords of Shadow...I didn't complete it yet I'm on chapter 5..but really..the amount of charm and beauty in this game is sooo wonderful, the voice acting is soo brilliant..the story is soo engaging...and the scenery..?...I don't have words...sometimes I stand still for 1/2 an hour just to adore the beauty of the fine richly created environments..this game brings back the feeling..of the old days of gaming....when gaming was fun at heart and not bullshit.

  • Thanks to Oscar Araujo for create this. (L)

  • 1:41 melts my face off

  • Thanks. It's a lovely theme.

  • its not a castlevania game without an amazing soundtrack. and they hit the nail right on the head with this one! good work !

  • Guys I also played many castlevania games and I can tell you this game is one of the few games that I really enjoyed over the last year.

Sure I missed some of the old music, dracula and stuff but at the same time this game does many good things. (very big, beautiful areas, many bosses, good combat)

2D castlevania used to be fun when we were 12 years old, but come on guys (sadly or not) that really isn`t interesting anymore...

  • you mean that ogre boss that was really fun and cornell, who was a giant lycan boss like in oh i dont know about 5 other castlevania games? goblins weren't fucking center stage for anything. lol at you saying this game has generic fantasy monsters. SO DOES EVERY CASTLEVANIA GAME EVER. all of your complaints are just you whining about stupid shit on how they dared to not tailor to your idea of what a castlevania game is and hilarious god of war conspiracy theories. grow up.

    ps sequels coming

  • seriously i cant even understand that train of thought. IT HAS GRABS!!!! so they added an extra way to kill your enemies. IT HAS QTES!!!! so has a lot of games since even before shenmue. who fucking cares?

  • @dodanviera @foottothenuts in all sense you guys are right but in all sense they did this to try and beat (or get close to beating) a no.1 title in the action adventure category so the had to bring back a title and the best possible ansewer was castlevania so the rebooted it and added some god of war mechanics inthere (ex the grabing) and they needed a new face for castlevania and also bringing a new chapter of the belmont history

  • EPIC! this game was the best journey ive ever had since ocarina of time! thx konami

  • @hardcoresau i couldnt of put it better myself !! its a shame the dlc arnt the best :(

  • man this is a good game. bought it a week ago and its awsome!!!!!

  • Sean Bean would be good as well for Gabriel.

  • When they make a movie I could see either Josh Holloway, Russel Crowe, or the guy from the new Conan movie as Gabriel.

  • The devs just wanted to forge a new path for the franchise. Heck, it's more of a Castlevania game than you think. Think: Belmont, Brauner, Carmilla, A possible Death, werewolves, vampires, zombies, living armor, that clockwork tower level, "Vampire Killer" playing in the music box, Cornell, a giant castle, a whole slew of monsters, a whip-like weapon, and DRACULA at the end?

Besides, the company can probably retell some of the previous games from this point.

  • this game is great, but it dosent top god of war, for me.

  • EPIC

  • 0:15

HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS IS AWESOME

  • Fuck this game's soundtrack. Fucking RUINED the Castlevania legacy of good music. This sound track is GENERIC and lacks ANY of the character that made the old Castlevania's soundtracks so memorable and unique.

Fuck this game's horrible atmosphere too. Tons of Lord Of the Rings inspired generic fantasy shit? The castle only takes up the middle? What ever happened the the old horror inspired monsters and gothic feel??!!!

  • @foottothenuts I wish people would learn that swearing and CAPITALIZING some of your WORDS does not make your argument more compelling. Anyway, to address your points, I don't understand what you have against the music, but the atmosphere I thought was pretty Castlevania-ish, if not in the actual castle. However, many Castlevanias have taken place outside of the castle, like Simon's Quest, or Super Castlevania 4.

But I think you're just nuts for thinking there's no horror-theme in this game.

  • @TheToast7 Okay dude, I'll be more compelling now. The mountain fort before the castle, the village at the beginning, and the castle chapters were the only really castlevania esque places. I know other castlevania games have taken place mostly outside (Curse of Darkness for example, one of my favourites). But those games had a Castlevania look and feel the entire game. Like I said in my last post, the rest of the game was filled with generic Lords of the Rings fantasy stuff, and the last level..

  • @foottothenuts ..the last level didn't feel Castlevania at all, there isn't even a fight against Death (that thing in the game was not Death), or Dracula. How can you not understand what I don't like about it? It has no originality, doesn't even sound like a Castlevania soundtrack, no catchy melodies, no gothic qualities, there isn't even a damn organ anywhere. This composer knows nothing about Castlevania. It's a generic orchestral Lord of The Rings esque soundtrack.

  • @foottothenuts

Really? Sounds like an orchestrated versions of Super Castlevania IV type of ost.

    - In more than one castlevania game, the game is about GETTING to the castle(SCIV, for example) only in recent generic Sotn clone sequels, does the game take place ONLY in castle.

    - Lotr? Someone needs to get acquitted with eastern European mythology.

    - Gothic feel? original castlevania(before it was pussified by IGA) was all about a badass barbarian holy warrior fighting evil with a whip.

  • @FeuerFremder tihs doesn't sound like Super Castlevania IV's soundtrack at all. There's no catchy melodies, no variety, no gothic qualities.

I never said the game has to take place in only the castle, but most of the outside castle parts were not Castlevania at all.

And yes, the games ALWAYS had gothic feels. Dracula, pointy castles, caves filled with bats, misty woods, cloud covered moon filled skies, the soundtrack. Its just that the heroes were usually dressed like conan.

  • @foottothenuts Interesting how you said there needs to be pointy castles, caves filled with bats, misty woods and cloudy (yet somehow moon filled) skies, and yet you didn't realize that every single one of those is in LoS. As for the soundtrack, there are some songs in LoS that are actual updated versions of songs from SCV4.

You have presented no concrete evidence. Why don't you admit that it's not this game's fault? It's probably just that you don't like it, for whatever personal reason.

  • @TheToast7 Yes those things were in the game, at one part. Just because the idiot makers of this game decided to put the superb castle levels in the middle of the game doesn't mean the rest also follows the same tone.

If a first person shooter game titled itself "Silent Hill" then only had the creepy Silent Hill esque parts of the game in the middle, while the rest of it isn't like Silent Hill at all, doesn't excuse the whole rest of the game.

The final chapters of LOS were horrible....

  • @foottothenuts The monster choices (outside of the castle) were horrible generic fantasy things. The music was horrible generic orchestra music, just because one section of one song resembles a part of a song from Castlevania IV doesn't mean the songs are good.

Honestly, if the third part of the game was cut, or if the third part of the game didn't exist and the second part took up the combined lengths of parts 2 and 3, then I wouldn't be nearly as bothered, even by the uncastlevania music.

  • @foottothenuts So, you hated mostly just the third part? That's odd, because you keep talking about how you hate that the game is so "generic." I'd like to know what other games feature a swirling tornado of magic rocks, with portals and grim reapers. What other game lets you cause a solar eclipse?

Please, make up your mind, you seem to have problems with it being both unoriginal and too original.

I also would like to point out that regular CV's are still coming out, this is just a side game.

  • @TheToast7 It's not just the third section I hate. While most of the parts before the castle have an uncastlevania feel, they also feature generic fantasy crap. The parts after the castle just feel completely not like a Castlevania game, no matter how original they may be. This is made worse by having the amazing castle section in the middle, then following it up by a complete change of atmosphere by the following parts. Lament of Innocence is how a 3D Castlevania should sound, look, and feel.

  • @foottothenuts Legacy of Darkness is also how a Castlevania 3D should sound, look, and feel.

  • @foottothenuts Can you maybe explain what "uncastlevania feel" is? As far as I can tell, it just means you don't like it. If you would admit that, rather than blaming the game for not being original in the "right" way, maybe we could move on.

I dunno man, seems like you just hate everything that's not an old school castlevania, just cause.

  • @TheToast7 Oh yeah, I totally remember in the old games when I had to fight Titan bosses that were ripped straight from another game for no reason. Its even better how the creators of this game made the titans look like they came from Shadow of the Colossus, instead of using already established monsters from previous Castlevania games. I think it is DEFINENTLY in line with the old Castlevania games to have on rails platforming sections were you just hold the analogue stick and press a button and

  • @foottothenuts ...the character does all the work for you. That's awsome how it isn't challenging at all in that style of platforming, being completely unlike platforming in the old games, its even better how there's no medusa heads anywhere to knock you off platforms. Its totally like the old games to have the game constantly holding your hand and telling you what to do (though I will admit the enemies a lot more challenging than that dreck, God of War, that's a plus). I remember in the old

  • @foottothenuts ... games when the final levels took place in a retarded boring zombie desert, culminating in a ridiculous stupid plot revelation that ended with neither a fight against Death or Dracula. Its totally in line with the Castlevania games to have the character do stupid force quick time events during cutscenes and fights, because this game TOTALLY wasn't doing that because God of War does it, right??? I remember in the old games when the Belmonts would pick up werewolves by their

  • @foottothenuts scruffs and breaks their necks, oh wait, I don't. That was only put in their because Kratos does stuff like that. It's definently like the old Castlevania games to not have the castle be the main ending section of the game (this game could have had amazing build up to the castle if there was no third section, or if the castle took up the length of the second and third sections, and the third one was cut). Its definently in line with the old Casltevania games to replace the

  • @foottothenuts majority of the old established monsters with generic goblins and fairies and trolls and stuff (why put all the cool monsters only in the castle?). The soundtrack totally sounds like the old soundtrack, you know, with it having no Bach or baroque influences, nor any rococo elements, hell I didn't even hear a single organ or harpsicord, not even a single instrument did any sort of peddling, because old castlevania songs TOTALLY didn't use any peddling, right? (bloody tears,

  • @foottothenuts ...aquarius, heart of fire, final toccata ect) I think this game perfectly represents the old Castlevania games by completely getting their atmosphere wrong, where the old games went for an old fasioned hammer horror cheesy halloween look and feel, this game goes for a trying-to-hard-to-be-dramatic-and-serious look and feel by being a mix of Lord of the Rings and Van Helsing. It definently makes sense for the Castlevania series to now be about Dracula and his buddy teaming up to

  • @foottothenuts .... fight Satan and his armies in modern day and age. Seriously.... what were they thinking...? That's some of what I got to complain about that's "uncastlevania". Anyway, the castle looked amazing, I was ready to give the game a 9 when I was playing that section, because everything went together so well, even the music was more enjoyable there, like I said, it went way downhill after that (why not put the best part last in the game?). The combat was great too, way better than

  • @foottothenuts what its always compared to, God of War. Though the combat's not as good as Bayonetta, or Ninja Gaiden. See? I don't hate everything in the game. Hell I even give it an 8 because of it's good qualities. I'm just so pissed at how much these morons got what Castlevania was all about completely wrong and changed that originally made the games unique for no reason.

  • @foottothenuts Three things, ok?

    1: I can't believe I read all that.

2: Why do you hate change SO MUCH?

3: How on earth do you expect me to take you seriously when you miss the medusa heads.

  • @TheToast7 Its not just change. Its changing it to something its not. Simon's Quest was a change, Symphony of the Night was a change, Lament of Innocence was a change, but they all kept what made a Castlevania game a Castlevania game. This game changed what makes a Castlevania game a Castlevania game. It'd be like if a Call of Duty clone came out with the title of "Half Life 3", but had some aliens in the middle of the game.

Medusa was always apart of Castlevania. Her removal proves my point

  • @foottothenuts Woah, changing to something that it's NOT? That's not the definition of change at all!

I don't care how many analogies you make, I'm never going to understand your rage at LoS being so different. Seeing as how it's supposed to be different; a fresh start, it's only natural that it would change, which it didn't that much anyway.

Also, probably all the Castlevania fans would agree that medusa heads are not Castlevania, they are pure evil. And they'd be right.

  • @TheToast7 A reboot is not an excuse to change everything. I guess I can reboot Metal Gear Solid now and make it an open world game in a futuristic Blade Runner esque setting where Solid Snake is an emo that does espionage to fight robots.

The 3D Ninja Gaiden's were a reboot and did not change what made Ninja Gaiden what it was.

You are delusional to excuse this game for pooping all over Castlevania's personality and then claiming it'self to be the savior of 3D Castlevania.

  • @foottothenuts I still have yet to see any actual pooping all over the series, especially considering this is acknowledged to be non-canon and it in no way affects your enjoyment of the others, unless you're insane.

And yes, a reboot is an excuse to change everything. That's why it's a reboot. You're doing it over. Similar premise, but it can executed wildly differently. Castlevania's premise is fighting mythological creatures in fantastic areas. It's premise is not to be "castlevania-like."

  • @TheToast7 No. Castlevania's premise is: a Belmont or other hero has to travel to and fight through Dracula's castle, while fighting horror movie themed monsters (Medusa, Mummy, Death, Frakenstein's monster ect), to finally arrive at a fight with Dracula. It should have an old gothic horror movie look and also have hearts and meat that fall out of candles, and a barouque/rock/gothic soundtrack.

Did the reboot of Batman wildly change everything? No. Lords of Shadow did change everything.

  • @foottothenuts Why don't you just shut up. You just keep regurgitating the same stuff over and over again: "It's not a REAL Castlevania if it's not like the old ones! It need BAROQUE ROCK, BABY!"

You might think I'm just insulting you, but no. You're insulting yourself. Here you are, saying this should be more like the old games, and why? Because you can't play the old ones? Oh wait, you can. Go play them instead of hating stuff irrationally.

    inb4 concerned for the series

  • @TheToast7 If the games return to their original timeline or true look and feel within a couple of years, then I won't be mad anymore. If this game ends up ruining the whole series and causes all following Castlevania games to follow in it's footsteps, then I will be very mad and depressed.

The reason I keep repeating myself is because I'm right. If one changes everything in a reboot, why would it need the name of Castlevania in the first place?

  • @foottothenuts I quit. You aren't the sort of person that listens to reason. You're an insane obsessive fan who whines and moans if he doesn't get his way. You act like a company being creative is some sort of attack on you, personally. Grow up.

Anyway, I give up this argument. I know you'll take this as a victory, because that's the way you think. Take it whatever way you want, but everyone will know, when they see these comments, that you were a troll, just here to piss me off. Good job.

  • @TheToast7 If a company wants to be creative and use their own ideas, then they can go and test them on a new series, not use them on a series where they don't belong.

  • @foottothenuts stop being butthurt and enjoy the damn game

  • @foottothenuts dude you're fucking weird. I've played Castlevania since the first, and I have to say that although I loved SOTN, everything after that became a pile of overdone silly japanese anime shit. Lords of Shadow is the NEW Castlevania for a NEW age and a NEW Generation! although I didn't like the gameplay much, I still think it's a BRILLIANT game, it's gives the perfect feel of what a Castlevania game should be like, I've had enough the kiddie shit! Cheers to Mercury Steam and Konami!

  • @dodanvieira You're fucking weird and not even a true Castlevania game. This game completely destroyed anything that made Castlevania Castlevania, even the stuff BEFORE Symphony of the Night. and "silly anime shit" was in the series before Symphony of the Night. It was in Rondo of Blood, Bloodlines, and in promotional material for Simon's Quest, it was even in Castlevania 64.

  • @foottothenuts I'm not a true Castlevania game? LOL! yeah you are right... I'm pretty sure I'm not a game.. retard.. and if you read my comment again, you'll notice that it's not anime shit that bothers me, SOTN and other games before that had very subtle anime art style to them, which was quite nice actually, Castlevania 64 was horrible... it's the OVERDONE anime shit that bothers me, I said "THE OVERDONE"... stupid dork... read people's comments before you start ranting your blind fanboyism...

  • @dodanvieira I meant you're not a true Castlevania fan. and the only games that had stupid anime stuff were Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. If you think this game is a good representation of Castlevania, you do not even understand the series. The music is all wrong, other than the castle, the atmosphere is all wrong. Castlevania is supposed to be about a vampire hunter with a whip going to Dracula's gothic castle to fight him and all his cheesy halloween monsters with high difficulty and...

  • @foottothenuts ...awsome rock/metal/gothic/baroque soundtracks. This game messed up ALL of that.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @dodanvieira The saga was in need of a reboot, Dracula is finished, the only important fight that has no game is when Julius defeats Dracula once and for all, its either that, or turn Soma into a bad guy.

  • @foottothenuts too bad this game has more to do with castlevania than somas homosexual adventures and all the other trash thats been released as "castlevania" games since symphony of the night you dumb faggot

  • @nignogfrogdog Too bad this game has less to do with Castlevania than any other Castlevania game you dumb fucking faggot. If there was no fucking Castle in this game then no one wouldn't fucking know it was Castlevania without being told you faggot shit fuck dick.

  • @foottothenuts whats hilarious about you fucking retards is that at worst you haven't even bothered playing the game and at best if you have then you didn't bother paying attention at all. the game is super castlevania iv in 3D, the only thing that was relatively new to the series/different was the necromancers abyss. i always love how you morons are so quick to say this isnt a castlevania game without looking at castlevanias backlog for the past 10 years.

  • @foottothenuts but then again you seem like the typical iga fanboy who wants his effeminte main characters with their hilariousy cheesy joke metal theme songs in the same game since 1997 with the same drawn out, raped storyline.

go play harmony of despair, it'll be the last game he ever makes.

  • @foottothenuts one more thing i forgot man did i laugh at "faggot shit fuck dick" someones trying hard to be edgy and rebellious

i hope your mom doesnt see that post

  • @nignogfrogdog I've played every Castlevania (other than the game boy ones) including this one, which I beat on every difficulty. Some of my favourite Castlevanias are Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania Bloodlines, and Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. I know EXACTLY what the fuck I'm talking about. SCIV didn't have fucking hand holding platforming sections, no Dracula, shitty music, random collossus bosses, GOW inspired QTEs and grabs, generic lord of the rings monsters, hints every 2 seconds ect

  • @foottothenuts what lord of the rings monsters are you even talking about, if its goblins and wargs and ogres then lol because they've been a fucking castlevania staple for a long damn time. dracula is in the game, just as dracula is in LoI. i'm going to ignore your comment on music because corneliab summed you up pretty well on your profile. the rest of your bullshit complaining stems from the same WAHH ITS LIKE GOD OF WAR shit thats been disproven time and time again. cry the fuck more.

  • @nignogfrogdog You have no fucking idea about anything. Goblins and ogres and shit have been in old games, but they are given centre stage in this game. tons of the monsters are simple fantasy generic monsters, when old games had tons of different monsters. in Lament of Innocence you at least fight Death and a Vampire at the end (this game's version of "death" is a joke). Yes, QTEs have been around before, but LOI didn't need them, and neither did COD. This game only has them because of GOW.

  • @foottothenuts also if youre that offended by a game telling you to press x to jump i suggest you stop playing video games period

  • Someone who "saves" Satan or whatever happened at the end.... yeah... that's hard core.

  • One of the best game soundtracks ever made. Certainly in my top 5.

  • O love God of War and Devil May Cry....but god dammit! This game made me forget every one of my others games!

Muuuchhhh better by for than God of War III! It has a great gameplay,no boring momentos, impressive history, excelent graphics, and a fenomenal soundtrack.

I got everything that has in the game, and i want much more! Hope DLCs come soon.

Sure, it has a few, rare bugs...but, if it wasnt for that, i´d given a 10 without thinking twice!

  • I replay The Hunting Path level just to hear this song.

  • Great game!!! Epic music! Kick Ass storyline! Why would anyone dislike this game ???O_0

  • 1:44-1:55: Pan says "I can travel no further" as Gabriel sees more Wargs in front of him.

1:56-2:10: Gabriel readys himself as Pan leaps over the Wargs and dissolves in midair as Gabriel flys to the other side of the chasm.

  • I imagined a scenario for a scene of a film with this:

0:01-0:30: Gabriel rides Pan through the woods, the Wargs right on his tail.

0:31-0:50: Gabriel jumps off the horse(in slow motion) with cross in hand and leaps onto the Warg behind him.

0:51-1:04: Gabriel fights the rider of the Warg and stabs the Warg in the neck.

1:18-1:30: Gabriel falls off the dead Warg. He turns and sees 3 more Wargs coming at him. He runs.

1:30-1:43: Gabriel is sprinting. Pan appears to rescue him.

  • love this music it made the game feel so epic in scope and scale. my game of 2010. loved every second of it.

  • this has a tempo of about 160 or 206.

    It's really fast.

  • Game is aliright..... but soundtrack is just meh, I dont feel I cant even call it Castlevania for that, is a constant dramatic chorus all the time, I didnt expect the same pieces again but at least I would have liked tracks that something that sticked to you and just wanted to make you hum them... the chorus isnt even that epic

  • @ashwolf2006 I feel the same way I beat this game recently just amazing. The ending left a HUGE opening for the idea of a sequel so if Konami can supply the budget I'm sure we'll see a sequel. This game was just exhilarating.

  • "I can travel no further.... you will find what you seek ahead!"

  • @DevaOscura

"Yes, O White Horse of Mystery. And thanks for the rocky ride by the way"

  • U know This Fking CastleVania is BS !!

good Graphics yeah but How the Fu ck a miserable is gonna Kill SaTan ??

    dont make me Laugh

SaTan Burn The Oldman Just By Talking to him -. -

  • @TheBossPwn satan's description (scroll) says that, in earth, he cannot manifest all his powers.

also, acording to the prophecy, gabriel became god's vessel on earth. so ,is much more credible than dante's inferno.

  • i felt like this was the most epic game

  • sometimes i play these following custom tracks when playing this game

    1. vampire killer

    2. bloody hell ocremix

    3. flyleaf's chasm

    4. demon hunter's collapsing

  • Hey, Castlevania Gods, please put music remixes of the old games in the sequel to LoS. I'M BEGGING YOU.

  • I just got the demo of this today. And the moment I heard this song, I decided. I am going to buy this game. Not to mention the gameplay, the environments, and the fact that Sir Patrick Stewart ( I call him Sir because the man was freakin' knighted) was the first voice you hear, and one of the voices you'll hear throughout the game. Frankly, I'm sold.

  • Reminds me of LotR.

  • This game is AWESOME!!! I just killed the Ogre and I'm up to the Crow Witch now.

  • 1 person is dead, yet, they cannot live...

  • Hey, Oscar Araujo. Yeah, I'm talking to you who composed this. Filling a song with choirs doesn't make it "Epic" in any means, but rather cheesy... just so you know.

You should take notes from Michiru Yamane, maybe you learn a thing or two.

  • I really loved the old castlevania, and I am a true fan of SOTN, but I really liked this LOS, it was Epic, I prefered it to GOW3

  • I really loved the old castlevania, and a true fan of SOTN, but I really liked this LOS, it was Epic, I prefered it to GOW3

  • This is one of the best games I have played in a while and kicks the shit out of God of War. Epic soundtrack, great narrating, great story and a whole shit ton of enemies. I'll take Castlevania over God of War anyday!

  • Castlevania has been resurrected! Please no more God of War around here because both games deliver a different message and different feelings!

  • Damn this part was so sick with the horse...I like how the horse just told him that he would help him and Gabriel trusted him without question haha. Pretty emotional and epic

  • @DarthRoy1292 Would'nt you want a talking horse at your side.

  • @Tonytambe hell yes

  • i was sooooo wrong about this game it was fucking epic!!!! A few weeks ago i said i might not try it because of no Simon but man Konami and Hideo came correct and delivered with much awesomeness.

  • i hope this gets a sequel cause this the best castlevania that appeared after a long time

  • @ashwolf2006 IT IS! and its getting some DLC!!!

  • call me crazy but I liked this better then GOW3

  • @TurboTsunam1 i don't know if i am crazy too, but i agree =D

  • @TurboTsunam1 You're not crazy, you're right. Lords of Shadow is better than God of War 3. Deeper story, more levels, better combat, and so on.

  • best game this generation? i dare to say... if it wasn't for the Epicness of MGS4 and it's ending... thi games is just right behind it.

  • well in my opinion this game is great, cuase in the other Castlevanias you never know from where da fuck dracula appeared, but this game maybe should be called like Castlevania:Dracula`s Origins, and by the way the soundtrack is great they used classic songs like vampirekiller in the music box, waterfalls of agartha that song appeared in super castlevania IV,the name of Rinald Gandolfi, named also in C.Lament

  • @xiamque i totally agree with you, a lot of people complain about LoS ''not'' being a castlevania. but i found it prety epic the way the show Dracula's background story... they're telling you what he was but you just don't realise.

indeed, this game is just a prologue to one of the most epic tales.

    and this is indeed Castlevania

  • @SktMew Actually this game is a Reboot. The Origin of Dracula and The Belmont clan is explained in the PS2 Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Great Game and Story check it out, but for this reboot, i like how they went with the story.

  • @xNinjaBeanerx i pretty much know that O.o

  • I don't understand we all grow up, why can't a series we love grow up with us?

  • @Icedhope I totally agree I have been playing the castlevania games since I was a kid but this one was like fine wine and only got better with age

  • I played a lot of the castlevania games and by far this is now my favorate one of them.

  • my vote for game of the year. one of the most epic games ive ever played.

  • I played the game from start to finish. Music is excellent! Gameplay is okay, could be better but still enjoyable. The boss battles are awesome! I recommend the game. I'm sure there would be huge improvements with the sequel.

  • @FullyShadow lol that last fight was a big wtf it went from death to Oh shit. lol

  • the music in this game is awesome, not sure about the game play though, I haven't played it but the reviews are not that impressive

  • indeed the game stars off slow and builts up so much speed that you do not want it to end!

  • Uh-oh, another troll crying about nothing

  • @Rimorura lol. You've probably never even played a "real" Castlevania. Lords of Shadow is much more of a spiritual successor to the original games than SOTN or any of the other IGA stuff is. So sick of you fools acting like you know anything about anything,.

  • @evildonkey22

I had played castlevania since NES , so stop your fooling , this game isnt near to a real castlevania , is just a spam button masher game , the only good thing about the game are the puzzles ,but they get boring really fast , all about this game is just a copy of GOW and devil my cry , and all that boring new stuff games..

  • @Rimorura Can't you understand that a music created by michiru yamane would have never been appropriate for this game? and it isnt a spam button masher game... try that and you will die fast, combat system is good and the IA of the enemies is wondeful, 15-20 hours (not like most of games of our time 7-9 hours), all in this game is beautiful, but of course it has no relation with 2D castlevanias. Boring puzzles?! compare them to GOWIII puzzles... thats stupid and boring

  • @Rimorura Why does everyone have to compare every "hack&slash" game to freakin God of War??.....when God of War wasn't even the first of its genre?? Why, I'll never know. This game is NOTHING compared to God of War, it may be similar gameplay wise but it's no where even close to being a copy

  • This game to me is the true sequel to Super Castlevania IV. Fuck you God of War and DMC fanboys, if everyone had your mentality we would be bitching about how ridiculously similar Call of Duty is to Medal of Honor. Its a fucking genre, no one has fucking copyright ownership over it.

  • @AKg0Lden

    still a ripoff :P

  • @shadowthehedgehog181 nop is not a Ripoff, the castlevania series was the first to get the Action adventura genre to 3d with Castlevania 64 and Legacy of darkness, and later improved it with Castlevania Lament of innocence on PS2 in 2003 while God of War appear only until 2005.

  • @johansebastianadvert

when people play this, they will immediately think god of war. why is that? i thought so :P

  • @shadowthehedgehog181 mmm, well in most of sites, Castlevania get most associated to Shadow of colossus and Dante's inferno by the plot, GOW is a total different story.

  • @shadowthehedgehog181 That is because God of War is overhyped, Castlevania: Lament of Innocence wasn't at the time.

  • @shadowthehedgehog181 much better then god of war

  • Spoiler Alert:

LoS is Dante's Inferno, only GOOD

  • @NaviGill3000 I was thinking the same thing!

  • @NaviGill3000 yeah, no women with stings outa their cunts <_< not to mention, the boss defeating scenes were all epic

  • ok so if i recall the story of dracula is he was some holy warrior for God and idk how but he loses the love of his life and he curses God for it and God curses him back according to what he had said and the makes perfect sense in this game, the only thing i dont get are the two masks of shadow i didnt understand that. and then the game fast forwards to the future taking place after all the castlevania games in that cut scene. what were the masks about??

  • ya know i actually enjoyed alot of the puzzles in this game there some of the were pretty difficult and others were not to easy but not hard either. the story was pretty good and sad this is basically the beginning of castlevania isnt it. its how dracula was born rather created.
