Actually the current disease originated in the commercial hen yards and such. If it weren't for the unsanitary condition being kept for those animals it would not have developed or spread. Influenza has and will continue to exist, we can't stop that- but the susceptibility of the birds to the virus illustrates my point. These commercial birds have had their natural resistance bred out of them, and thus are generally affected by the virus. With wild birds , the problem wouldn't be half as bad.
