The worse thing I've ever done like that is when my friend borrowed a video game from me, she gave it back to me and I lost it, so I thought that she still had it and that she had lost it. I found it months later after making her promise she'd buy me a new one.

Actually, if you do carpentry/woodwork etc. you don't even use measuring tape! Just make marks on a stick (called a story stick); using measuring tape can be inaccurate.

my friend gave me a book to read a long time ago and i still have it every once in a while she says something about it an i'm just like "oh yeah its sitting on my book case just remind me next time." i think the real reason i never gave it back was b/c i took it to camp and now there is a dead bug between two pages.

Actually, if you do carpentry/woodwork etc. you don't even use measuring tape! Just make marks on a stick (called a story stick); using measuring tape can be inaccurate.
