That was the short lived "CNN SI" (The "SI" standing for "Sports Illustrated") Network. It was supposed to be competition with ESPN, except with a heavier focus on sports news. The biggest event they had I can think of was Cup qualifying, and that was put on there merely to get more people to subscribe to the network, similar to FOX's "I WANT MY FX" campaign. The network fell to peices and shut down not long after this.
