  • some great high revving from the zf box there, well captured also.

  • I would've sat on the back seat but the driver said it was wet. The back seat was the only seat not made of upholstery.

  • back seat isnt always the best, engine sound can drain transmission and sometimes idle related sounds like booming, but back seat filming i find is the best to record good old big engine diesel thrash :)

  • That is fantastic! I love the sound of that great DAF Dieselengine 5 star rating and af fav!

  • Do you like Bristol REs Adam? They're my favourite bus, along with the Leyland National. I used to go to school on them every week. Just love the transmission noise Bristol RE's make! Here in Hartlepool we have a restored RE.

  • They're quite nice sounding but not that bothered about them to be honest. Leyland Nationals likewise, used to like them but can't say they entertain me anymore.

  • Hehe, that's because the Lynx is your baby :)

  • Well, i try not to be too biased in my decisions :)

  • Was the gearbox slipping at times or is it just me? Makes a nice noise though!

  • I'm not too sure, the driver was very smooth and kept to the speed limits. There was some nice kick down action too.

  • What a beast. Love these buses. We have two left in the North East

  • I've never been much of a fan of the DAF SB220 but they're growing on me a lost, especially after being on this one. It sounds so nice and some times on this journey, it reminded me of a Volvo B10B.
