That shadow going up the staircase is almost otherworldly and suspenseful. With the gritty cinematography and lack of sound I got that boogeyman feeling. The creature we always know is there but cant see within the shadows. Ever since I played the game "Bioshock" I haven't been scared of much when it comes to horror movies. But I just couldn't turn off my lights and fall asleep when I watched this for the first time. *15 yrs old and the basement was my bedroom*

Have you ever seen Werner Herzog's remake of "Nosferatu"? It's similarly creepy and mood-inspired. It uses the situation fo Murnau's film to create a larger portrait of the vampire as a sort of everexisting evil, to blame for all plagues, disease, death, etc.
Fun fact: Klaus Kinski played Dracula in Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu" and later played Renfield in Jesus's Franco's "Count Dracula", opposite Christopher Lee as the vampire.
One thing that agrivates me about this film are the DVD versons, they felt the need to change history by releasing the versons that have the "Dracula" Title Cards instead of the famous "Orlock" Title Cards
If fw merino knew how it still scares people almost 100 years later I bet that would make him a happy man plus it scared the shit out of me and my sister when we watched the cameo in spongebobwhy was he on a show like that for all tue kiddies to see and piss there pants
i cant find any copy of the movie with that music score. I've searched everywhere, but each one is different. Where can I find this score? Please reply
Ps I even have fifty horror classics pack, but it's not on there
@theawsomechanneldude -I'm pretty sure that the music was just edited in by Cinemassacre themselves. Obviously the existing original prints of Nosferatu didn't have any sound. The Kino edition I own added in some optional tracks, but they didn't sound like the music here either.
The first time I saw this me and my dad, and sister were watching it with popcorn and everything and my sister (who was 4 and we didn't wan't her to watch it) spilled the popcorn everywhere and started screaming and ran upstairs to my mom when he came out of the coffin. Me and my dad were like "I knew she shouldn't have watched this!" lol
like most people my age,u probably think i found out about the movie from spongebob, but when i first saw that episode i was like "what the heck is that?"
Does anyone know how James makes his videos. What equipment does he use like how does he get the clips from the dvds on his computer past the copyright, how does he do the animation.
nosferatu: had claws, drank human blood and killed people. a real vampire. and for some reason, he also liked to mess around with the lights in the krusty krab...

I remember having the computer game adaption Nosferatu the Vampyre for Commodore 64.
I could never figure out how to complete the first stage and it had some scary cover art. An image of Orlok holding a dead woman (or at least she looks dead) with bleeding bite marks on her neck and he's staring into the fourth wall with his mouth open wide, bearing his long bloody fangs.
I've seen versons that still call the vampire Orlock. One thing about Nosferatu is I love how people often think Nosferatu is the name of the Vampire instead of Orlock/Dracula. The rarest verson I've seen is a remake from 1979 called Nosferatu: The Vampyre
