  • Das mag schon sein - ICH aber erschien erst Anfang der 70'er.......

  • I love this song as well as many other songs by Esther Ofarim. The first record i can remember was "Esther im Kinderland" at my grandmother in the early 70's.....

    Artiranmor, Germany

  • "Esther im Kinderland" erschien aber schon 1968.

Ich war 7 Jahre alt als ich sie geschenkt bekam

  • Night night one was prey

Night night the other died by sword

Night night and the one that survived

Fall asleep your name he could not remember

Fall asleep your name he could not remember

    Night night the wind grows

    Night night the treetops hum

    Night night only you await

Fall asleep the road is empty

Fall asleep the road is empty

  • He looks like Fess Parker. :D

Goodness, she's a beaut! Israeli women are so pretty in a lovely, wistful way. And what a voice!

  • I thought that he looks like Barry Bostwick!

  • Esther Ofarim is on Concert Tour 2007 right now in Germany, more details

    go to w w w kulturinitiative de

  • Then she was a beauty with het Nana Muskuri look...now she's much more beautiful!

  • I don't know why Esther Ofarim never made it in the US. She was the greatest folk, country, blues singer in the 60s. She sang everything beautiful. Abi was just the man accompanying her. What does it have to do with politics? She appeared on the Smothers Brothers once, but they gave her a lousy song to sing, maybe that's why. I loved her then and I love her now. Thanks for the memories.

  • especially when this beautiful lullaby has been written in the 1940's and has nothing to do with any politics whatsoever.

  • Well, what seems to be the problem? I love Danny Gatton's and Miles Davis' music, although "the" Americans have bombed our beautiful, old cities.

We must always see people apart from their governments, mustn't we?

  • Wow this is so beautiful This woman has brought tears to my ears. I am no Jew and have no time for Israel's aggressive politics but this woman has completely opened my heart and alowed me to transcend my limited thinking and bigotry and feel the heart these people through the music. That is the power of music.Folk music. She sings reflecting the heart of her race. I am off to find myself a nice Jewish girl who ca sing. Goodbye

  • No, she sings reflecting the heart of Esther Ofarim.

Maybe you'll find that nice Jewish girl who can sing, but there will be no connection to Ofarim.

Plus, she'll probably leave you because you seem kind of creepy.

  • SUCH A WONDERFUL SONG..!!
