Wow. This hit home BIG time. This is absolutely my life. Even though I'm on a (self forced!) hiatus for another month, I'm STILL obsessed. I LIVE on the computer. I LIVE for planning the weight loss....and I'm still the weight I was in June! I haven't lost ONE POUND.

It's good to have outside things that can distract you from the daily norm. It will help you focus on weight loss when you really want to rather than just go through the motions... which happens to everyone at some point. Pick an activity each day. Do a puzzle, read a book, take a walk for the purpose of enjoying nature... take pics!, LOVE scrap-booking! Go bowling..to the driving range... take a class at the local craft store! This video and genuinelysarcastic daily diet distractions, have really open up my eyes in regards to the bad effect of just focusing on weight loss. I have restarted going to a filmclub, just to do at least one thing a week, that has nothing to do about weight loss og how big I am.
Take ya dogs to the park, even if it IS raining... jump in puddles. Just get ya raincoat on and ya gumboots :) Then come home, dry ya dogs off, get them cosy then take a hot bath with a good book! LIVING LIFE!!!! :D :D woohoo.
This video is powerful.....wow. It's true though....everything you said. When you get consumed by something...it stops working in your favor and starts hindering your progress..
Wow i just started about 3 months ago with this whole weight loss journey and i literally weigh myself everyday and im gonna stop its become a addicting thing i dont know but it going outside and go enjoy life! go bowling call a friend and meet up go to a concert thats what i do im a concert goer and thats my hobbie find something u love and do it .Live your life and Enjoy it !! : ) *hugs
This video is so powerful. You are completely right - so much of my life is taken over by weight loss....when you said the stuff about the hobby...that is so me. I have been trying to find a hobby for such a long time - something I am passionate about - and you know what? The only thing there is...is weight loss....I'm tired of it.
This video totally speaks to me. I am honestly on my ass ALL day. I have no balance, and I am going to take this month between semesters to start a routine.
You're so right hun...my To Do list went from having one thing weight-loss related to being COMPLETELY dominated by weight loss...I'm so glad you're trying new things but you need to take time and do things that make you HAPPY. great vid :)
I hear ya on all of this. It is overwhelming. Damion's Daliy Diet Distractions come to mind :o) I stuggle finding balance too hun. I have no job no kids and i focus most of my energy on weight loss. But trying new things have to be your mission now :o) I just want to hug you hun :o)

You've taken the words from my mouth. I feel like I've put my life at a 'halt' purely because I want to lose the weight first.
I think "once I lose the weight, THEN I can succeed at life."
We've gotta realise that there are more sources of 'self worth' beside weight loss.
I just can't seem to convince myself of this. We need to live a normal, balanced life, whether we're overweight or not!
Why are we making ourselves 'suffer' before reaching our goal? How can we change this mindset?

Small town?...me...I leave to work 1 hour eralier and WALK...MANDY!!!! WALK TO WORK PLACE
I watch YT WLC videos and the moment I see someone failing constantly...I REMOVE THAT PERSON OUT OF MY LIFE
I watch a CLC videos, see what other do, see them reaching their goals...then I exercise.
I overeat...feel sorry...BUT THEN GO OUTSIDE (FREEZING, SNOWING, RAINING...WTF CARES)...I JUST GO OUTSIDE AND TAKE A LOOOONG 1 HOUR AT LEAST WALK
