No amount of training in the world will prepare you for the real deal, but you can be ready for it tactically. When the situation does present itself, you will never rise to the occasion, you will fall to the highest level of your training. I was the medic in the convoy that got hit in Kabul on 10/29/2011. Just finished AIT back in Feb of this year. Hooah to past, present, and future F-co Falcons!

  • Nice job - I went to A School at Great Lakes in Oct of '75, 8404 school right after that. Did Seven in the Navy and another four in the Air Reserve as a Medevac Tech. Some good years there.

  • @ThePintodog why do people try to be funny

  • @W3dogs yes,we do go through combat training in FMTB also depending which division you go through field training(west and east coast have different names for them) and along with 'live-tissue' trauma training. We're suppose to only carry a 9mm pistol but the marines upgrade us to M14 or M16

  • Just wondering...but do the navy corpsmen deployed with infantry marines recieve combat training? like SOI or anything? and do they carry a weapon?

  • deployed to kuwait right now as an Army Medic. video gave me chills at some spots. great job, man. keep up the good work.

  • terrorists helping terrorists. dam.

  • @hardbrown16 your going to love it, just make sure you get to field med right after 'A' school. That or a 'C' school would be nice too. Join the fight and help our brethens in need.

  • Dear Corpsman...I respect you and what you want to do. Please take pride in you're job and make sure you spell it right. Coming from a Navy wife. God Bless!!

  • Haha, copy that, navy wife. Corpsman is what we are , benjidom. Members of the US Navy Hospital Corps. The only all-enlisted Corps in the U.S. Military.

  • If you need a letter, let me know. I mean, I'm old, lol, so it's not a come-on, just offering letters of support from back home.

  • thx hearing strangers like u that support us makes me feel better already. i got 1 more month before i ship out. so far my parents think im crazy as well as some of my friends too.

  • good luck

  • Thank you for making this. My 1st cousin lost both legs in Vietnam, as a medic, trying to reach another man to bring him help.

  • 1:19 all respects

  • great vid medics and corpsman are truley inspiring

  • ya, i know how to get around it...HMs billets are never full...your recruiter is a lair...I am a third class petty officer (fmf) and i can tell you we are never short on corpsman

  • im in Navy DEP right now & trying to get my job switched to HM before i leave for basic. my recruiter is saying HM is full for females right now. damnit.

anyone know any ways to get around that? i really wana do medical.

  • i'm in the army and i changed my job from medical laboratory specialist to combat medic and i'm guessing it works the same way for the navy when you wanna change jobs... go to your recruiter and ask him for a reno (renegotiation for your contract). all they have to do is send in a request and get the reno approved then you go back down to meps and just change your job and get a new contract. if it isn't available, just wait and a spot will open up eventually. i waited and it was def. worth it

  • i am in Navy DEP too and trying to accpmplish the same....i ship out jan 20....i am an LPN and am told i can be an E6 upon my return....i was told number of female positions are limited but they open in october , i have been guaranted a spot..i hope my recruiter is being truthful..

  • Navy huh? Allow me to welcome you to the branch. I'm in the U.S. Navy as well, in fact I'm also a corpsman. If you want to contact me, let me know here and I'll give you my other contact information.

  • I'm an HM, I don't know how to get around that whole thing, but I can find out if you like. Let me know in my inbox. Personally, I don't think the rating is full for females.

  • you go dude

  • Just joined the army national guard as 68W going to be in a Forward Support Battalion after AIT, attached to a unit of artillary and 2 infantry battalions. Im excited to get started!

  • you go man

  • Awesome! I just became an instructor there. Maybe I'll see you in my class!

  • i just joined the Navy as a HM(Hospital Corpsman) and im so ready i shipout in April 09

  • way to go man!

  • Ship out to boot camp? Or are you finished with Corps School already?

  • shippin out to boot and i cant fuckin wait

oh and by the way i saw one of those fuckers that protest at funerals saying thank god for dead soldiers and if it wasnt for a mother fuckin cop being there i would have stright up kick that asshole face in. i hate thoughs gay fuckers

  • Dear, God Please let me be next to those protesters next time they protest!! please!!! Yours Faithfully,

  • @wdennis85 fucking right man.

  • @wdennis85 awwww yeah 29 palms. nothing but desert. hella fun.

  • @wdennis85 good luck and your totaly right,if i ever saw one of the protesters at a friends funeral i probly would have stole one of cops guns and shot them all in the head, why do they hate soldiers theyre the ones that are fighting the battle and giving the protesters the right to wear those shirts and what not cause if they whernt fighting they wouldnt be free

  • Well, im not a US Medic, im from Austria.

But i've been down in Kosovo with the KFOR Mission.

    - Some separated, own pairs of gloves is allways a plus also gauze bandage, you never know what comes. Once we got too less, so it helped!

    - A dictionary of the country you go to is very important to let (when its in your duty) civvies do your job.

    - of course something to read (maybe the Studybooks) and music.

more to come, when i remember it =)

  • :) go man

  • I'm signing up in a few months as a combat medic, can't wait to do my part in conserving the fighting strength.

  • cool im already in DEP enlisted as HM and not due to leave until January 09 ! GO NAVY!

  • If you have any information on being a corpsman, let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability.

  • is there anyway i can be attached to my friends unit if he is in the marines and i am a navy corpsman going fmf? he kinda shipped out earlier than me to marines tho. . .

  • I asked a similar question when I found out I was going FMF. They told me it couldn't be done. However, I believe where there's a will, then there's a way. All I can really say is keep trying to find that way.

  • You too, look above.

  • If you need letters of support, let me know and I'll send some cards.

  • @SquidUSN

Have fun dying in your masters' profit driven war machinery you mindless tool.

  • @megatroll Tool!

  • @megatroll Yea,we slay bodies.what of it?

  • @megatroll shut up mr. I'mgoingtohidebehindmycomputer

  • @ridicul8

You shut up you brainwashed war monging tool to your elite fascist globalist government. Have fun dying in their war machinery, while letting your family get molested and groped by TSA.

You American sheep will get exactly what you deserve. Soon. And I will sit in my chair and watch the show. :)

  • @megatroll and then the russian tanks come by and destroy your house while you are still in it behind your computer trolling away and you might as while type your last "fag" or "tool" while russian tanks send incendiary rounds into your neighbor's homes because you'll die, and there's nothing you can to do about it

  • @ridicul8

    Fool.

The sheer fact you don't even know what I'm talking about makes me smirk. :) Just sit and wait... you will see. :D

  • @megatroll no i really don't that's why your argument is invalid and you are the definition of forever alone.

Thank you for wasting your time with ridiculous airlines hope you fly again with ridiculous airlines "where the rent is too damn high"

  • @megatroll ARE YOU A TWAT YOU DO KNOW JUST HINTING TO A IMMINENT INVASION OR TERRORIST ATTACK WILL GET YOU A ONE WAY TICKET TO GUANTANAMO

  • This is a great video. I just cried through the Corpsman of 2008. My brother was in the Navy and stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital waiting for the casualties from Desert Storm. He missed going by one year of service. I pray for everyone who lost someone and for all the Medics in this big world who are there for our troops. Kudos.

  • What is this song?

  • im an AF medic andthe Army has actually been using more AF medics because of their shortage. Most people dont know about them or spot them cuz the majority wore ACU's along with the army and now the army is recruiting AF flight medics for more use
