October 2010 ------83% of the population went to vote for the Presidential election.
December 2011 -------33% of the population went to vote for the legislative election.
It means that Gbagbo was the true winner of the election. The people boycott the legislative election because Ouattara was not the true elected President.
Ouattara is a fraud. He used his international network to spread lies on Gbagbo.
Shameful Prof. Diawara, you don't deserve your status. You even don't deserve to be a son of Africa. You reasonning is so flawed I doubt you can be a Professor.
I am very disapointed an intellectual like you can lose his soul to that extent.
@ninitinka i am not from ivory coast but i have read up a lot on it, he was very popular, france had tried to overthrow im 2-3 times prior with failed Coup's, Ouattara is the most recent French stooge (studied/worked in France, he has a French wife, wroked for the IMF) so while people do like Gbagbo its also that they've had enough of France's meddling and they (understably) see this as France yet again trying to install themselves. Ouattara has also spent more time in the US than in Ivory Coast
what has unfolded is a very tragic series of events in cote d'ivoire and my heart goes out to all those caught up in the turmoil.
just out of curiosity, what do gbagbo's supporters see in him? i mean it is easy for everyone to say that he is an evil dictator but there has to be some underlying logic as to why militia's are fighting for him.
if you are pro gbagbo, please jump in, i am really keen to get your opinion on this situation. you can just reply to this post or pm me
I hope for peace for the poor people of the country. Ivory's must unite and work together. A Ivory Coast free from corruption, western evil interference and development.
DOGOUHOUI SON of a BITCH!! You Bastards have put the country with million of lives in deep poverty and misery. This asshole defending GBAGBO today has made millions of Dollar defending the EVIL, selling his soul for money. The part of the region these animals are contesting is 100% for President Ouattara, and they all know that. They were NO irregularities! After cancelling 9 regions pro-Ouattara using their so called "constitiutional court", those losers only came out wtih 51%. what a SHAME!!!
What? Are we watching the same debate? It seemed like Dououguih (Gbagbo's advisor) is denying obvious events that are clear for all to see (such as the massacre of women protesting peacefully). He dares refuting facts that actually happened.
I am appalled that terrorists like this can come in the media to push propangada encouraging non-sense and the senseless murder of your own people.
Abobo is a neighborhood filled with Ouattara supporters, who else would bomb & kill them?

I agree with Douougih. He was the most pertinent in this debate.

Poor Professor Diawara, You should do your home work before talking.
Go online and inform yourself! This is the least you can do instead of embarrassing yourself and people who know you.
