Hidden inside trombones, there is this 6 or 8 inch long piece of roughly 1/2" tubing called a "leadpipe". It's important. If you attach 6 inches of 1/2" rubber tubing to your tbone mouthpiece, hide it inside the sax bocal tube, and shut all the keys, your saxobone experiment will work.

Haha, I think it worked better the other way. There's something about the woodwinds; they don't seem to cooperate with that kind of mouthpiece...
