True patriots, they offered the ultimate sacrifice for their belief's. If whilst visiting Kilmainham jail you do not feel a tingle and a pride as well as sadness, then I am afraid you must be dead inside. Sleep well brave patriot's of Ireland.
The suffering and the stoicism, not to mention bravery affected me greatly. I had to touch Joseph Plunkett 's cell door. To have to leave his Bride and be executed, such brave people.
Took a visit with my old mother. The staff were wonderful and knowledgeable. Normally a practical guy. The heckles were up. That place with its tortured dead souls sends shivers down my spine two years later.Try to get a quiet place and absorb. Ghosts No. Good people who suffered and died? most definitely. I would advise everyone should visit. You will not be the same when you leave, but in a good way. God Bless Ireland. P
was there a month ago but at least this time i understood,as i was only 10 on a school visit first time.I loved it and the feeling of being there where all the 1916 heros were, and standing in some of their cells and being in the execution yard was totally amazing but very sad experience
@buloo1234 why did the brits not get to fuck out of the north as well ? Ireland has 32 counties always will.I have an Irish passport and i live in da north.makes me mad.

wen i went on da tour wiv ma frends, i wasnt finkin abt ghosts 4 1 minute...bt THEEEN, my frend opened her gob nd askd da tour guy if it was hauntd...he felt soooo embarassed, bless him....i cud see he got spooked all of a sudden. he sed dat sum people had seen a girl running up nd dwn the stairs, theyd also seen a soldier nd somefing else in the chapel...as soon as he sed dat, a woman wlkd out..she must have felt reali creepd out as well bless her..

We have just come back from there and i have a picture which is very odd! Lets say we have someone who was not supoposed to be there, looking through the window at us together with an awsome Orb!!!
Ye she was in one of the cells and she turned around there was a ghost just standing there staring at her ! She got a pic of the ghost ! It was really scary ! The tour guide told them that they got offered a place on most haunted but they said no becuase they didn't want to disturb the ghosts !
