Good representation of subcontinent's red light area. The poetry of song is indeed sarcastic and the music while lyrics are folk oriented and are reminicent of the golden classical era of Pakistani cinema.
Best MUJRA composed in PAKISTANI film muzic it was sung by SURIYA MULTANIKAER a non film female singer but she did tremendous job by singing this historic SONG and apperently it was composed by DEEBO BATA CHARIYA but i was told by my friend JAMAL SIDDIQI that actually it was composed by great SARANGI nawaz NATHOO KHAN i am not 100%sure This song iz asset for PAKISTAN 03332604292
Superb Song and excellent film "Budnaam". If you have seen this film, you'll definately appreciate, the situation of the song. Picturised on Queen of sentiments "Nabila" and then the dance performed by the best dancer of Pakistani film, "Zamurud". The film contains the famous dialog "Kahan say aayay hain ye jhumkay, kis nay pehnaayay hain ye jhumkay". This film songs and dialogs written by Muzzaffer Warsi. This should be watched by all art lovers.
i am fan of this song since 1963. this was frequently aired on all india radio at about 3 to 4 p.m. and used to hear this song on our village's community radio of gram panchayat as the transistors were not invented that time. i was searching this song on ne from 6 months and now got it thanks for upload. further i request you to upload song 'tere bina u ghadiya biti jaise sadiya bit gayee' i think this one is from film madhosh and sung by noorjehan.
I could never know who wrote the lyrics. Some one, amazed with my liking for the lyrics, admonished me for my poor (poetic) taste. Now, forty plus years on, when I listen this song, I look back, and note that the impact of this song on a school-going child was justified. At that show, Suriyya Multanikar was slim, some thing like Nautan in Hamlog (i.e. before her cure from T.B.).
The memories go back to decades, and are as fresh as centuries !
In my school life, I came across these lyrics and fell in love with them.Despite the "financial crisis" inherent in the budget of school life, I bought a booklet which contained its full wording.
Then, in 1967-68, I happened to attend a show at the Pakistan Arts Council,(Alahmra) Lahore, in which Surraiyya Multanikar gave live performance of this song. The next day, one of my professors mentioned about that show in the class. I told him I was there. He started respecting me !
SURIYA MULTANIKAR though she was not a film singer but DEEBO BHATA CHARIA the composer of this song called upon SURIYA GEE for this mujra T HE RESULT IS BEFORE U and i include this song among the GEMZ of pakistan film muzic 03332604292
Another great song! A favorite of my parents. And why do we get into this Bollywood vs. Lollywood argument? A good song is a good song. Does the source matter?
now please tell me when badnaam was released and when this song qasem se qasem se was released? let us see which one is older, older one is original off course.
Guy its the Indian musicians who copy our pakistani songs and dont even give credits :S - They even copy from our B grade lollywood movies recent example is MAUJA MAUJA (jab we met) which is originally sung by Naseebo lal. Laung wacha, Lathe di chadar, Agar tum mil jao are all copied rather stolen tracks.
THE SPECIAL SONG
NO COMPARISON
