Can I just make a point - gmtv does NOT *make* artsts mime at all, they may *encourage* them to do so but if the artist insists on singing live they allow it. For instance, Rhydian was definitely singing absolutely live on the show this very morning. Most artists aren't confident enough to make a go of it live at this hour of the day and that's a fact.

There is no way to sing just like the album... @_@ the singing for the album is editied to get the defects in the voice out...sure they have to sing it perfect and keep doing it till they hit the note.. but when its live you dont get a second chance on a note

We ALSO know that Leona can sing live, so what's the big deal?
The GMTV studio simply isn't big enough to accommodate a live band, and the audio setup required for a live performance - whereas the T4 studio, the Diva show and the majority of her other performances do. There isn't any need for Leona to be forced to sing live in conditions which could affect her performance; this being one of them - hence the lip syncing.
She's not singing live in this one but in her other ones she does sing live.

It is miming but GMTV is like on at 5.30am NO ONE WANTS TO GET UP AT THAT TIME, LET ALONE STRAIN THEIR VOICE THAT EARLY lol Why even talk about it??? WHO CARES she's proved her point.... she can sing.....we've seen it on xfactor and there are MANY amazing performance RIGHT HERE ON YOUTUBE.... have a look, instead of talking about this very stupid subject.

But I think it's obvious that she CAN sing live. She's amazing.

if you listen to the the bridge and the way she holds that note, she gets a little raspy after the 4th or 6th count she holds it.

I mean, I understand that she HAD to lipsync if her voice would have sounded bad live, because she's sick, but it's still disappointing. It's like finding out there's no tooth fairy.

she's so obviously lip syncing this, but if she was ill then fair enough. at least she's thinking more about conserving her voice than struggling with a live performance. she did do all the live x factor shows and she usually sings live. she's great!

It's not good for an artist to always sing live. Leona had to show the public how the record actually sounds...what if u heard it live, loved it, went out and bought it and was disappointed? You'd be wel hacked off lol. I agree with ya tho, she is awesome live.

yes she is lip syncying here but as sum 1 said she was sick, u can tell she is because the second long note in the bridge is lower on the cd, when she sings it live she sings it really high+ no one can get every note EXACTLY as is was on the cd but who cares she always sings live and she is amazing!! I love Leona!!

she is lipsyncing here but that's only because she was sick. She's sang this song probably over 100 times and she's lip synced it like...twice at most and when she did mime it, it's cause she was sick so she can definitely sing live. she's amazing and sings live 99% of the time and sounds incredible

She's not lip-synching.
She's just singing the same way she did when she recorded this song.
Other singers in concerts do the oposite to prove that they really are singing, but some singers prefer to sing the same way they do when they recorded the song, like Leona.

There is no way to sing just like the album... @_@ the singing for the album is editied to get the defects in the voice out...sure they have to sing it perfect and keep doing it till they hit the note.. but when its live you dont get a second chance on a note

We ALSO know that Leona can sing live, so what's the big deal?
The GMTV studio simply isn't big enough to accommodate a live band, and the audio setup required for a live performance - whereas the T4 studio, the Diva show and the majority of her other performances do. There isn't any need for Leona to be forced to sing live in conditions which could affect her performance; this being one of them - hence the lip syncing.
