  • the city of london is the worlds financial capital not new york but hey you know americans, sao paulo is an awsome looking city it makes cities like london and new york look small, dont think its bigger than tokyo as tokyo is still the worlds largest city but sao paulo is vast.

  • @SuperGraystoke You are right, but no other city in the world has the same influence than NYC. NYC is the world capitol, and it has the most influence on the world. I guess because of WALL STREET, & THE UNITED NATIONS being there, and maybe a few other reasons.

  • you'll see a great stadium here in SP, they completed 25% of it, and we started to build it later than other states

  • @myautomobilefunk

shut up mate, you're talking bullshit, don't try to explain something you don't understand, stop saying shit about Brazil, it's a great country and SP IS AWESOME, you're a scumbag you idiot

  • Been there many times. Its absolutely huge. Way more impressive that tokio, mexico city or any city ive seen. But too huge for me and It is not a beautifull city. Rather ugle, the traffic is absolutely horrible and It misses a soul......

  • wtf thats huge. But the buildings there are fugly outdated tacky colors and design

  • @britney1456789 there are two new areas with more modern buildings, but u can't see in this video

  • and i thought the skyline of new york was impressive this just blows my mind i didnt know men could build such things

  • Brkkkkk very Ugly City !!!! Brasil es à bad and Dangerous country !!

  • @reims2005 Brazilians not speak spanish nerd

  • @reims2005

i dont care about your opinion men...

    Brazil rules

  • Brazil is fucked up, they can't build a descent stadium for the world cup, so take a look around about the stadiums in NY guys

  • @myautomobilefunk what do it cares having huge and good stadiums if american football sucks? take a look in youtube about brazillian football in youtube and compare it to american football

  • @1998GuilhermeBorges "brazilian" football? it doesn't exist, football (soccer) was invented by the english men, my point is not about soccer and football, I said NY has a great stadium like the Metlife Stadium, not to mention the Cowboys Stadium, the Reliant Stadium, the Sun Life Stadium, etc . all of them are stadiums with the most advanced technology, so Brazil can't build a descent stadium like those, 1 because of the money and 2 because of corruption overthere, you know it and I know it .

  • @myautomobilefunk england invented it and brazil made it be beautiful

  • @corinthians814 I don't think so, I mean the best football club right now is from Spain, and the best football player is from Argentina or Portugal .

  • by the way stop the comparison between NY and Sao Paulo, New York is the most important financial center in the world, it's a real skyscraper city with a lot of infrastructure, a lot of professional sport teams, and represents America .

  • @myautomobilefunk Um your wrong. The City of London (or just The City as its commonly known) is the most important financial centre in the world. Of course though the City is closely followed by Wall Street (which still plays a huge role in global finance) in second place.

  • not to mention, whores, blacks, drugs, violence, the most important companies in brazil are property of foreigners, mexicans, italians, americans, the brazilian people still living in a pigsty .

  • @myautomobilefunk I'm not even black but stfu racist shitbag.

  • shitty city .

  • wow very impressive!

  • and now imagine a tsunami, a big wave, a comet and a earthquake :| 12.12.2012

  • This city is MASSIVE! I was there in 2007 and it was a life changing experience. I hope to return one day!

  • love this city.... miss it!

  • That was awesome. I will be seeing that Friday Morning. Can't wait makes Melbourne Australia where I'm from look like an ant in comparison

  • look, the amount of buildings holy shit

  • city full of immigrants

  • huge city!

  • It's almost like Coruscant.

  • how many people live there?

  • @ahgoon69er

11 milion in the city .. 19 milion at metropolitan area

  • Owww... So many tall buildings...

  • Nice video and on a clear day.....I just uploaded a video of my landing but it was raining and cloudy.

  • nice video! i'm flying to brazil in a few weeks. can't wait!

  • Nice video :) I do like Sao Paulo - the sheer mass of skyscrapers! Love the metro and I cant get over the fact its a really really big city!

  • @cammey23 do you live in Sao Paulo?

  • @scscorinthians Nope but visited a couple of years ago :)

  • @scscorinthians Nope but visited a couple of years ago :)

  • @JaneWonderfallss that is in the past, now got better.

  • SimCity

  • im from philippines.....ive been in brazil way back 2002....nice place and people.

    we stayed at sequoia hotel.

  • brazil you have big manhatan ilove brazil marouane from morocco

  • I'm not saying that crimes and poor people is a kind of beauty, but it's something that for us, brazilian, is real..it's there, we can't deny...that's what makes Brazil for me, a tottaly different country, and I love it

  • Well, São Paulo is just impressive, I must agree that the city has a lot of problems, like violence, traffic, drugs..but anyway..for me that's what builds a different kind of beauty in a third world mega-city, I lived in Europe for 3 years, and it's awesome..organized, safe, all that..but for me, a brazilian guy, it looked like something was missing, and then I came back and found out that I missed all this sense of adventure, diference, poor-rich, white-black, violent-safe, beautiful-ugly..

  • Well that's for everyone and i wish i could get some thumbs up here, SP is a great city but unlike any brazilian big city is freaking dangerous, no matter what the news say, no matter what trolls say.. everyone knows it's dangerous.. place is full of favelas (slums) and the same time great skyscrapers and beautiful places, SP one of the best looking strrets of the world and also one the worse looking as well that's SP Rich and Poor side by side, violence is there i don't need to argue with that.

  • ...ahahah you really want to argue with a brazilian man? even worse a brazilian that was born in sp? man SP is one nice city in a lot of aspects.. one of the best cities i know for business worldwide and it's always growing more and more.. but don't tell us it's safe please.. if you're not a troll out there you're probably a politician trying to make it look our beloved city the safest out there.. let us deal with our problems ok? BTW esses gringos acham que conhece nossa casa melhor que agente!

  • @rodolfosevero007 I'm Brazilian. I live in the US for several years have been mugged here, but never in Sao Paulo. The places I've lived and stayed around in Sao Paulo are extremely safe (Vila Mariana, Moema). I've also been to Maringa a few times and I don't believe for a second it is safer than those parts of Sao Paulo -- it's right next to Sarandi -- enough said.

  • @amizuki Are u drunk or something? Seriusly.. I went to sp when i was moving here and one of the doors were left open, 2 days and i was just fine, my walls are still clean to this day no sprays nothing.. in SP all it took was a day or to for someone to spray or walls (if you're brazilian you should know that) now. let's see i can stop my car for the red light and not get robbed here, can you do that in SP? Sarandi = one dangerous city for all the region and even though we still the safest !

  • shoudn't we turn off our cameras during landing?

  • Do blacks people run things here like they do in USA?

  • @Microglia1 it's not about skin color.. but still it's a pretty dangerous city.. but nothing surreal if you compare to detroit or dc in the US.. If you're looking for a lot of skyscrapers = sao paulo, looking for peaceful place to live = move to canada. BTW The best place in SP is the paulista avenue "avenida paulista" witch is impressive and modern looking but there's nothing like times square in sp.. NYC has 5x the GDP of SP STATE!

  • @rodolfosevero007 You're way off. NYC has a City GDP of about 1.5 trillion and the state of Sao Paulo about $750 billion. That's about 2x not 5x. Also, the most recent murder rate figures in 2011 would put it in the top half less violent among the ten largest American cities -- somewhere between SF and LA and half of Atlanta (7.8 homicides per 100k).

  • @amizuki Well all i said before i besed on wikipedia info, now if they're wrong tell them.. What city would be put in the 7.8 per 100k? SP? hahahahahah Come arround here and see for yourself if you meant NY well that's fair..

  • @rodolfosevero007 Check Out Folha on May 16 2011. Homicides are down 36% in 2011 in the city of SP, which considering it includes Carnaval, the rate for the year is on pace for the kind of stats I mention. Also, the State of SP and State of NY are fairly close in GDP. State of NY GDP is way smaller than the NYC figure $1.1 trillion vs $1.5 since "NYC" includes almost all of NJ and all of NJ and CT (much bigger than upstate NY economy)

  • @amizuki It's not about folha.. or estadão whatever.. i'm from sp as any CITIZEN that's not on drugs or stealing shit at night gonna tell u the same thing.. Rio and SP are one of the most dangerous cities in the whole country, btw i live in maringá in the state of paraná, witch is the safest city in the country over 300k inhabitants our homicide rate is 7.94 SP is like 25 there's no denying on that.. Homicides may be down.. but SP is far far farrr away from being the one of the safest cities.

  • @rodolfosevero007 What you say reflected reality 10 years ago. Now, SP is now by far the safest "Capital" city in Brazil by far with violent crime cut by almost a third. Very similar to what happened to NYC which was one of the most violent 20 years ago and now it is the safest.

  • @amizuki HAHAHAHHAHA oh yeah have you ever heard of "cracolandias"? do you even speak portuguese? Tell u what go to sao paulo, stop for lunch in any restaurant outside, turn on your laptop and start to count time in 2 different clocks (redundancy in case someone steals the clock too ;P) and tell me how long you were able to sit there... man seriusly you know NOTHING about SP.. i moved from sp because of it's violence and pollution, now an outsider tells me it's the safest capital hahahahaha..

  • Wow!!So many Skyscrapers, especially at the 1:50 mark!

  • humidity is so bad and city is not safe for you gringos

  • SO NICEEEEEEEE I WANT TO BE THERE....

  • its crazy how many high rises there are... does New York City have that many??

  • @dailyuser2012 NO-New York doesn't have nearly as much skyscrapers and isn't spread out so vast as Sao Paulo. New York has numerous business skyscrapers, not cookie cutter condo skyscrapers everywhere like SP. Then again, the spread of this place makes Los Angeles look small.

  • @OSTARAEB4

sorry, New York has many more skyscrapers in São Paulo, specially because most modern definitions are that skyscrapers are buildings over 200m. And São Paulo has NONE of those. While New York has 51 and several more under construction.

Also, NY is larger than it seems and the skyscrapers built in a denser way, with less spaces between them.

  • @rogerpenna Yes, I know the concentration of NY skyscrapers since it's the most compact of American cities. NYC is always in flux with new construction but from the vid NYC doesn't have thousands of condo towers like this or like Moema. It looks like SP is four times the land area of NYC. I think the Arantes building is the most beautiful in SP. NYChas two distinct areas dt/financial district and midtown. SP just ramples on and is impressive in scope.

  • @OSTARAEB4

it may LOOK like SP is four times the land area of NYC. So I can only suggest you go to GoogleEarth and measure it all yourself. Measure the skyscrapers are of NY and the highrises area of São Paulo. Those are always easily distinguisable because of the shadows.

  • how many kilometer square of forest had been destroyed to built this city...

  • @vecdetozcomert What, for people to live? Would you rather people not exist? São Paulo is close to the coast. It isn't built on natural forest land. The Amazon is hundreds of miles away.

  • the problem are the peoples, not the beautiful things peoples creating!

  • @lolresteskt many people are good.

  • @lolresteskt many of those people are good.

  • @vecdetozcomert

every human city was built over some or other ecosystem.

btw, the amazon is 2000 km away from São Paulo.

  • It is one the biggest cities in the world!!!!!!!!!

Met a group of young people on the train in Chicago on vacation from São Paulo -

  • are we sure there are 7 billion people on thi earth?

  • @EvilSexMage

yes, in fact brazilian population grew less then predict. Last census was 190 million people... in a country as large as Europe (750 million people) and continental USA (310 million people)

  • Sao Paulo = Downtown almost everywhere...

  • yo awesome shot..i am writing a book and it has a scene that involves a narrative about the approach to the city from the air...

  • now THATS a real city. american cities are kinda boring.

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO usausa

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO haa american cities are great and so is this! have you been to europe that is boring!

  • @welderman9429380 ive been everywhere and american skylines are failing...china & middle east run the skyscraper scene now...frankfurt germany is nice...

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO Boring as in beautiful, new, modern, clean, lacking graffiti everywhere?

  • @stevesg92 no..boring as in....THEY PRETTY MUCH FUCKING SUCK ALL THE WAY AROUND....even the skylines.....are fucking boring as can get............u want a dose of real international city, check out....shanghai.............rio.............mexico city........dubai..........u.s. is weak. new york is OK, i guess, vegas is cool, miami is decent.....la and chicago have a LIL SOMETHIN goin on but, dont get it twisted, the "REAL" cities of the world are outside of the u.s.......

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO It's funny that you're judgement of "real" cities is by their aerial view. I've been to Sao Paulo many times and there only a few areas that look ok ON THE GROUND... the rest is hideous, poor and has graffiti all over it. And you just named the biggest cities in the U.S..... Rio is beautiful but once again the beautiful is the beach, mountains and the avenue IN FRONT of the ocean.. that's it... once again poverty and old buildings after that.

  • @stevesg92 my "judgement" of cities has nothing to do with their "aerial view". i judge cities on the experience as a whole, graffiti included, maybe u should go to paris or somethin oh wait, even paris is plagued with graffiti, i couldnt imagine barcelona(thats in spain btw, lol) without the graffiti. i tend to like the urban unfamiliar chaos of a foriegn city, smoke a lil weed and drink a lil beer, ull have fun in shaghai haha...come here to vegas, ont he strip, no graffiti there. lol.

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO Why did you feel the need to tell me patronizingly that Barcelona is in Spain? DUH!

  • @stevesg92 lmao.

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO so true was there last week and all i can say is WOW !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really want to visit this place.

  • a mais violenta

  • o,m,g sao paolo is a massive city,,, hongkong is also huge city when it comes to highrise skyscrapers but i cant compare,, sao paolo is an inormous city while hongkong is a tiny country,

  • Great!!!! Very Nice view!!! But i hate flying... But its beautiful!!!!

  • So Sao Paulo is kind of small

  • @tmac9wr

    lol, you are a joker

  • @tmac9wr Small? Dude... this is just a small part of the city... It's only the 7th largest city in the world.

  • nossa so tem comentario gringo no video ashaushas

mais sao paulo tem la seus atributos

  • I miss you Sampa! I miss you so much. "Porque Narciso acha feio o que não é espelho!"

  • Miss Universe will be here....soon

  • This is ity is just huge

  • I miss sampa

  • I luv my city SP

  • omg soo much people in this city!

  • @74elnene 19,223,897 million people live in sao paulo, Canada's population is 20 million.

  • @strainey123

Are you canadian??? If you are, you dont know the population of your own country. I am brazilian, and I know that Canada´s population is actually 34 million (2011 estimate) or 31 million, according to the 2006 census.

  • Gargantuan. I knew it was a big city, but this really puts it in perspective.

  • Im thinking of traveling to South American from Australia for a 2 month holiday. Would anyone recomend it or give me some tips on how I might stay out of trouble while over there?

  • @petahsz It is a far long jorney in the plane eh mate ? When I visited Australia I hated the distance because Australia is amazing, beautiful and great country and the people there the same. Unforgetable.

I hope you enjoy South America. don't forget of safety, try to not walk alone in non-touristic or desert areas, walk with more people or locals that you trust.

  • WHAT

    THE

    FUCK?

  • It's somehow strange that cities like Sao Paulo actually exist.

  • @mailxxxxxx yes,and for me its even stranger, because i was there in 2009,to fly to the Amazon

  • At about the 1:50 mark, it kind of looks like a computer game. The sheer mass of buildings blows me away and just doesn't seem real.

  • @13charachters absoutely real... it's impressive

  • @13charachters You're right wtf there's loads of buildings!

  • @13charachters its real men.. and trust me ...there are much more now, 4 years later

  • @13charachters I know what you mean. Have you ever seen the film 'Metropolis' by Fritz Lang? Everybody getting around in the air! He almost described the modern day Sao Paulo in that film. Everybody seems to get around by helicopter!:-)

  • Man Mexico city use to look like this until that 1985's earthquake and the law that followed stating that a building could not be no morethen 4 stories high :(

  • @lmarques77 ok

  • holy shit thats a lot of highrises

  • It seems they have endless buildings in Sao Paulo.

  • @baleiabranc

Ok, at least now I know you are so dumb that you can´t properly speak NEITHER english nor portuguese.

And again, look who is the racist here... its YOU. Get a grip.

  • Too bad this plane wasn't carrying 2000 lb bombs to drop. This is one of the poorest, most over-populated, and violent cities in the world. You couldn't pay me a million dollars to live in this toilet!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @tvguides

you are an IDIOT, you don't even know, there is a world outside the US, another stuped youtube fake bustard

  • @scscorinthians ........Brazil’s murder rate is more than four times higher than that of the U.S. Rates for other crimes are similarly high. The majority of crimes are not solved.

Yeah.....there's not much that could attract me to that shithole!!!!

  • @tvguides Ignorant! I have been there in October/November. And I walked around in the whole city with my huge digital reflex and I could feel really safe - even at night! If you take Brazil as a whole you should not ignore the fact that what makes Brazil look bad in those statistics are cities like Recife. Sao Paulo has become one of the safest places in Brazil in recent years. Safer than the US!

  • @newdays100

So, you want the american idiot to not generalize entire Brazil, since "São Paulo is safe", and yet, you become the brazilian idiot by generalizing the entire US! You want to compare a brazilian city to the entire US?

  • @rogerpenna

não viaja, maluco, vc mandou a resposta pro gringo que estava defendendo nosso pais.

  • @scscorinthians

e daí que ele tava defendendo o Brasil? Ele tava defendendo da maneira errada. Dois erros não fazem um acerto.

  • @rogerpenna

Thanks, I am not Brazilian. And with US I mean many US cities like LA for example. My comment might have been not so well written. But I think he knew what I meant. I would always visit Sao Paulo again. It is an awesome city to disover, so endless and with all the concrete still more charming than many of our European cities (before you get it worng again, I mean MANY not ALL of them) and surely more exciting than all of the cities we have in Europe.

  • @newdays100 what did u think of the city before u went there?? sao paulo got better in the 6 years. 10 years ago, was hell. i feeel more safe in sao paulo than in london, and ye, many people i know told me USA lacks security.

but in the slums arent always safe.

  • @scscorinthians ................I know there's a world outside the U.S.

Unfortunately the responsibility falls on the United States to keep the rest of the world safe.........you know, people just like you?

    De Nada!!!!

  • its only 20 million but looks like 50 million

  • Ha, no wonder so many architect's firms are making money still despite the GFC!

  • 20 millons

  • OMG, What's the population again?

  • The population of the Greater Sao Paulo area is over 27 million. (Contrary to people who believe only 10-20 million people live in Sao Paulo)

  • @johndough08g

the greater São Paulo is a stretch of imagination in my opinion. Although I also think that Bos-Wash is also a stretch of imagination. A lot of the BosWash "megalopolis" has densities so low that they would be considered rural areas in Europe.

  • OMG... how many buildings are there??!!

  • @Xevath003

i don't know how many, but I know that every day six new buildings are completed
