it isn't ice it produces but solide sodium acetate. what happend is you made a satureted solution that you cooled making it "super saturated" for cristalse to form on there own it need time but giving it a surface to start of from i.e; your finger for example It cristalises faster thus the impresion it gives it showed how much sodium acetate you can get in water. it's still good fun tho. i've had pricipetate that took several time the volume in solvant.

Ice is just a frozen substance of "water" where the molecules has stopped moving within the water. When it warms up the molecules begins to get active, but if its trapped it can still be frozen. In this video the chemicals were activated by having a sudden disturbance trapping the molecules from mocing "Freely"

Better instructions?! It is really a simple thing...

1.You take Water in a pan, and pour sodium acetate in it untill nore can be dissolved.

2. Boil it untill you get a slime-like liquid from this.

3. Pour the "slime" in a glas, and then in the cooler. If you see small crystals on the surface just add a small (very small) amount of water to make them dissolve.

4 Wait untill it's cold.

5. DONE
