No, the roads may even drop 1 or 2 fps, depending on your hardware. The final roads and texture mod will lower them even more, maybe 2-3 fps on a mid-range PC, and a 1Gb gfx card will be required, or texture loss will happen.

@DKTronics70 I've tried almost every EMB on the gta4 mods site for 1070 then i downgraded to 1040 and tried every EMB for that patch. I have to say your RealityIV ENB Beta WIP 1.0 is by far the best of them all, 10/10. Im using your EMB+Ultimate Textures v2.0 and every1 who comes to my house and see's me playing keeps asking what game is that? I do have 1 problem maybe you can help, i like using nyc textures and i saw you made some phone and mailbox textues but i cant find them.

Cheers for the comments. As I posted below, there is a test version for patch 7 on gta4-mods, misc section, page 16 at this moment, in the comments section. It is only a test version that I just simply got working, a real proper version is in the works. As for the textures, I am working on the whole main city with roads, sidewalks, grass, etc.. when it is finished I will be uploading ALL my texture mods in one place on gta4-mods, hopefully about a week or 2.

Look in the description above and you will see a update link "Faster + tweaked ENB ini - For use with Patch 3,4,5 Only." - Download that link and try that ini. There is also a fast version with SSAO off, just rename it to enbseries.ini to use it - it won't look as good with SSAO off, but runs well. This won't work on Patch 7 or EFLC since those values are ignored anyway.

Stupid Youtube formatting, I had to delete my reply. So here are two replies hopefully with better formatting.

DOF is Depth of Field. Put simply, it blurs the background, at whatever distance you set, to give a sense of depth. If you want more fps then open the enb ini file and try these edits.

@DKTronics70 Oh that's really good news =D, well I got GTX 260, it's not the greatest but it's a pretty good graphic card even though it's old. And downloading 2gb is no problem, my internet provider download speed became double, downloading files 3-4mb a sec now. What about your trees btw? 'Cause your older trees have been removed from like everywhere, it's not findable xD.

It will be RealityIV 2.0 not 1.7 now, because the changes will be a lot greater than I wanted. I cannot give any details or show any progress because I am working on a proper patch 7 version of this mod. As soon as I am done with ENB then I will return to my non-ENB mod to work on that.

There is no current way to make a Patch 7 bug-free mod, it just isn't possible. It will not crash, or cause problems, or anything else, but bugs exist because ENB is not supported by patch 7. It will also have a red sky bug because again, unless Boris fixes this then it will remain on every ENB mod out there unless a modder uses stock skies.

Sure ok. Just remember they are a beta test The REAL ones are still about 2 weeks away from finishing. The sets you have contain a lot of test settings, and things I wanted to finish but did not get time.

You can try it now, the beta is on gta4-mods on the main page because it has been starred. Nothing has been locked, so you can mod away using all the tools out there. If you try it let me know and I'll PM you a update which is a start to make this mod a non beta and into a proper v1.0. Just ignore all the assholes over there giving me the usual shit, including some kid rating it a 1 just because he couldn't see a patch 7 link.

Cheers, mate. Specs are as follows, Q9650 @ 3.6Ghz, 8Gb RAM, Old Geforce 9800GTX+, Win 7 x64 Ultimate, 64Gb SSD, 2x 500Gb HDD. Average fps is around 30, highs of 50, lows of 20. With DOF and high SSAO I get around 25 average, highs of 35, lows of 15.

If it is stock speeds then it will depend on your graphics card, what settings you use in-game, and the resolution you run at. You could always turn off SSAO in the ENB ini, this will normally give around 5+ fps to most mid-range PCs.

Open the enbseries.ini in notepad and look for this line EnableAmbientOcclusion=true change it to look like this and save it. EnableAmbientOcclusion=false Next try this, BloomQuality=-1 to BloomQuality=1 [SHADOW] FilterQuality=-1 to [SHADOW] FilterQuality=2 [SKYLIGHTING] FilterQuality=-1 to [SKYLIGHTING] FilterQuality=1 That will give you a fps boost at the cost of slightly worse IQ.

I was thinking of this mod last friday. I was in Paris 2pm, it was raining. Then i looked at the roads : they weren't shiny at all, they were darker (more saturation). Only puddles on the sides of the road were reflecting. Maybe the roads in NY aren't like that.

Thought I would just add to my description of the video.

I am aiming for a really wet, miserable day for the Rainy part of the weathers. So, wet shiny roads, high reflections, bloomy lights for the time of day, gloomy skies, and a blue colour tone to give it a colder Autumn-style look.
